Mesmerizing. Having played around with a theremin once, I can't begin to fathom how someone can coax something so musical out of so fickle an instrument.
I’ve seen about 5 Pink Floyd tribute bands as well as the original band members on numerous occasions ( but never all 4 together) Seeing you do this here on RUclips was an amazing treat. Excellent Work! 👍🏻🥂❤️😎
It's been a real instrument for over a century. Try listening to some Clara Rockmore recordings. She was particularly annoyed with the way it was used as a sound effect generator. Not me, though. I enjoy its various uses.
It's sad but uplifting at the same time, all about never waiting for anyone to give you permission to pursue what you want out of life, while warning of how fast time will go if you neglect your ambitions...
Finding one is the issue. My grandpop messed with one at a gig he was playing at and someone there had one and played that night also. I've been wanting to at least mess with one for awhile. You play very well. That was a good song to play, too. Brilliant.
Well, can't get more Retro than a Theremin! (Only Instrument invented in the 20th Century) and I can only imagine how hard it is to control Pitch and phrasing on such a thing, so despite a few oddities, thumbs up from me.😊
Thank you for the amazing performance as I know playing a theramin requires a lot of practice and patience.. I am seriously considering buying a Moog Theramini since i have damaged hands and I know I'd be able to learn to use the theramin as a real musical instrument.
Really good, nice to hear real melodies not just space noises. If you don't already do this, can I suggest you follow the best advice I was ever given..... Sing along with everything you play (except maybe live performances), It really helps break down the barrier twixt brain & fingers. I'm not a theremin player, this tip works for any instrument.
You know I actually did try this, and because I can't sing and play (any) instrument simultaneously, it just through me off! It's just a tricky instrument
@@PollyVMusic danke, ich habe originale Schaltpläne für altes Trautonium.Ein echtes Ondes mit dem Reversfederteppich vorm Speaker wäre geil, kostet bestimmt viel.
Lovely visuals & video style - nice tones from your Etherwave emulating Gilmours slide guitar, perhaps a little piercing in parts, and some slurring/intonation could be better ... keep up practising!
The left hand is volume. The right is pitch. The volume is changed by raiding and lowering. The pitch is proximity to the post, which is more or less an antenna. There are other controls, but they aren't used during a piece.
man i really dont understand how this instrument works lol, are you just playing the steel guitar lead with everything else being prerecorded and looped? or am i horribly mistaken 💀
This is the by far the coolest performance I’ve seen so far!!
Thanks dude!!!
Here at last a noble person who knows how to play Theremin and giving it out just for us. Thank you.
Its more than just a sci-fi noise machine! Thanks for the kind words 😊
Omg, never seen anyone being able to actually play a Theremin this good!
Uncannily beautiful! Theremins are awesome.
Thanks! 😊
Absolutely amazing! 👏👏👏
It's amazing how it's been 100 years and this instrument still looks like futuristic magic lol🙃 that was honestly incredible! 🙌
Mesmerizing. Having played around with a theremin once, I can't begin to fathom how someone can coax something so musical out of so fickle an instrument.
Lots and lots of practice, but more importantly, enjoying the musical challenge and becoming one with the instrument 🧘🏻♀️

Thank you so much that's so nice to hear! I've only seen Roger Waters once years ago, so great to hear that music being played live
THE THEREMIN IS SUCH A BEAUTIFUL INSTRUMENT IT SOUNDS SO MYSTIC I LOVE THIS SM IT MUST BE SO DIFFICULT BUT IT SOUNDS SO BEAUTIFUL
THANK YOU!
I'm subscribing because you have an incredibly cool user name. But, also, you can Somatic the hell out of that Theremin.
haha yes!!! Thanks!
This made my mom move to tears❤❤❤
No way!!! Now if only the same would happen to my mom LOL
Lol, this is so awesome. I've seen the theremin as more of a fun gadget rather than a real instrument, but this is just great, looks really difficult.
Thanks so much! The theremin can be a real deal instrument as well as an effective noise maker
A theremin is the perfect way to find out if the player is in tune. ;-)

Todo un arte interpretar cualquier pieza en el theremin. Máxime, tratándose de Pink Floyd.
Excelente homenaje! Muy bien interpretado!!!
Thanks so much!!! ❤
I really love this sad sad pink floyd song 🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤You are so good!🖤🖤🖤

I've been a theremin fan since I heard the Beach Boys and Jimmy Page use them.
Your playing is so mesmerizing and fantastic!!!
That was very cool.
BEAUTIFUL!!!
This is so cool to see, never heard of a theremin before all of this.
Brava Polly!
Thank you!
Very nice. Thank you for the bandcamp link!
Thanks for listening! 😊
i'm gobsmacked man
Super cool and unique! More please!!
Im working on covering kraftwerk next!
Waow, really impressive girl!
Awesome. I need to play one of those before I can't. Brilliant.
You should try one!!!

No mate, not the only instrument invented in that century. Not by a long shot.
There are many instruments invented in the 20th century. Even some non-electronic instruments like the steel drum, the saxophone...
Fantastic! Great job on taming the Theremin.
Thanks!
Formidable 💜 I though you were an android for a sec there 😊
Who says I'm not?!?!
. . . .BOAH EEEEH . . . . .she perfectly hits the notes of that song ! . . . .. . sounds very good . . .an it is no easy melody . . . . . . . . . ! . . . . . . . . .great . . . . . . . .you have very good ears . ..and a feeling for the sound and vibrato . . . .. . . . .

It sounds relaxing, but is a real pain in the ass to play properly 🤣
Moving to hear Pink Floyd on a theremin, bravo!
Thank you!!! 😊
My daughter and I were singing. thanks for sharing.

Yes give it a try! Takes time to really learn it but there are a few great theremin teachers on youtube you can start with

It would be amazing to make a Theremin band but they are so few and far between.
That is my dream, to lead a band with a theremin, who knows maybe it will materialize?
Sei fantastica...! ❤
What is this sorcery?
mastering this instrument is probably the closest we'll ever get to becoming a wizard
😂😂😂

Great gig in the sky, please
Hast Dich schön gemacht mit Lippenstift für den alten Keyboarder und Reparierer elektrischer Keyboards😂🎉❤❤❤❤
Todo es mejor desde que los cientificos inventaron la magia... 😮
How many takes before you got there? Respect.
A LOT! 😄
beautiful!
Is the grandmother playing single notes or did you overdub chords? Sounds sooo dreamy
Thanks! The chords are coming from the vintage casio keyboard, bass notes from the moog
Music is amazing but unrelated what is the dress your wearing called it looks good and I want one
It's from Madcap England!
only note i have is the synth keyboard sounds a bit too similar to the theremin and makes it harder to distinguish your very pristine melody.
The music tends to mix with the music!
Does that instrument really exist? Are there foot controls? How do you pause from each note?
The left hand is volume. The right is pitch. The volume is changed by raiding and lowering. The pitch is proximity to the post, which is more or less an antenna. There are other controls, but they aren't used during a piece.
@@tolkienfan1972 thank you for letting me know I really find that a fascinating instrument
@@damianlopez7630 welcome. I recently saw a video of a musician explaining the controls. 😁 I also find it fascinating.
@@tolkienfan1972 Thank You! Yes. These Instruments are innovative and awesome. 🙏🎼🎵🎶❤🙂
No foot pedals. Movement of the hands dictates the notes being played.
man i really dont understand how this instrument works lol, are you just playing the steel guitar lead with everything else being prerecorded and looped? or am i horribly mistaken 💀
snes station theme music 😂
beep boop
Better than Clara Rockmore
GASP!!!
It's a man baby! 😂😅
😉
sry, but its looks like a ROBOT is playing , NO EMOTIONS , sry
Beep Boop 🤖
Разве это плохо
I cried!
I'm sending over a digital tissue, let me know if you got it :)
