Sick of Life is bad ass
Serenity
Now you gotta check out the Godsmack drum battle live!!! You'll be even more blown away!!!
Epic
Let's hear serenity!!

GODSMACK "WHATEVER "!
Agree 100%
Agree. The opening riff. Hooked
Keep godsmack coming! You won’t regret this rabbit hole!
No one ever cites Tony Rombola as an amazing guitar player, but he consistently lays down excellent solos for Godsmack.
That solo should have been longer. 🎸🤟 😆
he is very under rated
More Godsmack 🤟🏼!!!!!!!!!let’s go!!!
They have 15 albums 1997-2023 still just killing it
The first 2 were good at least lol
My absolute Favorite Song by Godsmack!!! This track instantly turned me into a fan!!
🎸🎵🤘🔥😎🫵👏
TEXAS IN THE HOUSE!!!🇺🇸✌️
This. I first heard it on one of those sample discs you used to get with magazines before the album and instantly caught my attention. Found Slipknot that way too.
Texas represent!!!!
A bit of Godsmack trivia for you, since you like Alice In Chains too. When Godsmack was new and searching for a name, they turned to the name of songs from all their one favorite band, AiC. They went with the song “God Smack”, from the album “Dirt”, which is hanging right behind you on the wall.
As a fan of both, I would recommend Godsmack’s “Bad Magic”, to me it’s their hardest. AiC, all their songs are my favorites lol. Dirt is like Guns and Roses Appetite for Destruction. I can listen to both straight through over and over and never get tired. But, I love an odd ball song AiC has called “shame in me”.
You need to check out the drum battle videos with Sully, Godsmack’s lead singer, and their drummer. Both have their own drum riser and kits and both tear it up. I think this is the best one if memory serves…
m.ruclips.net/video/iJ8-r_hd5PY/видео.html
There's several 90s albums I can listen top to bottom on repeat without skipping a track. Dirt, Ten, Core, Purple, Antichrist Superstar mainly. Personally don't put appetite or any Godsmack on that list. Godsmack is one of my AiC favs though.
Godsmack's first album was a front to back banger of an Album. A rare gem. When their second album came out, I was so excited, but it was far down the ladder in how good it was and left me feeling they spent their entire lives on the songs in the first album, and only had a year on the second and it shows big time. At least that was my take. After that, I didn't really follow the band. I did go see them live, sometime after their second album and it was not a good experience. Was outside in a venue with multiple bands (basically a large field with several stages and no seats at all) in July, extremely hot, had gotten there early (was looking forward to it) and was front row. It was a miserable experience and the music sounded bad. When I could listen to it without straining with every muscle in my body to not get crushed by the ebb and flow of the crowd surges behind me.
I agree with the recommendation badass song, really the whole Awake album
I LOVE GODSMACK!! SULLY IS GORGEOUS AWESOME VOCALS AND GUITAR RIFF! SOOOO MANY INCREDIBLE TRACKS!! I HAD ALL THEIR C.D.'S. THAT SOLO 🎸🔥🔥🔥!! AWESOME REACTION MOLLYBOY 💙 THANK YOU FOR WHOMEVER REQUESTED THIS GEM!! 😊💓🤘✌️
The vocals on the acoustic version of this are actually even better, imo
"Straight out of line" , "what if", "serenity", "i stand alone" , "changes", "whatever" are some of my fave tracks. Glad to see godsmack getting some traction these days. They slapped back in the day.
Straight out of line 🔥🤘🏽🔥
I have seen Godsmack 4 times live now and I have to say they are always incredible!! I saw them in an intimate setting @ The Hard Rock in Atlantic City and it was like watching your friends in someones basement we were so close to the stage! Great rabbit hole to go down here with this band. Tons of Bangers!!
Sorry to hear that.
@@eriklarson9137 sorry you’re Stryper fan. You have no credibility on any band. You can take your ball and go home boy.
They were on The Scorpion King soundtrack. The movie with The Rock. Great movie and song.
They were also on the radio. A little device that music comes out of. Great invention and band.
@@eriklarson9137 thanks Mr Obvious
Sully wasn't afraid to say what was on him mind and would back it up. A contractor working on his house tried spreading rumors about Sully. He then penned the song "I fuckiny hate you". He also once got in a fight, and wrote the song "crying like a bitch" about the guy he beat up 😂😂
i thought crying like a bitch was about vince neil from motley crue. did sully whoop his ass?
Never knew that cool.
He wrote " Crying like s Bitch" about Nikki Sixx of MOTLEY CRUE because when they toured together, Nikki complained about GODSMACK taking too much stage, taking too much time, ect. He never fought him.
@@danielshea518 I heard both stories. Either way. All I know is Sully stands on business. He calls it like he sees it every time.
@ShadowRyu Actually a lot of people in his hometown and around Boston don't like him. I know a FEW people that knew him personally. He stepped on a lot of people in the early years.
One of the best live bands around ❤
this band was one of my fav since i was a teen. LOVED THEM STILL . His voice so SIIIICK
You're gonna love this one. Will be on the go to play list. Special meaning for those who have experienced.
Godsmack - "Whatever" is a great one, too. Also, "Voodoo" is a bit more mellow but is still an excellent song and one of their most popular.
When I sang in a band in the early 2000s, this song was probably my best cover work. A definite crowd pleaser at the time...
Yeah bro, we used to play this one out back then too and the crowds went crazy. I get chills thinking about it.
Yeah man. Me an my bro sang this at a bar for karaoke an the bar workee told us we had to stop cause people were starting fight eachother. Lol
That and Bad Religion is always a crowd pleaser
Any footage?
@@nolesfan0204 Right? Like. It's not 1980 any longer. You have video of it. You are on a video sharing platform. YOU brought it up. Let's see it. No? Ok then...
Great great reaction, been listening to this band for soooo long. Can’t wait for more reactions to them.
Godsmack : Straight Out of Line
I 2nd this. That's my favorite song by them. Shannon going off on the drums
I don’t know about anyone else but I’m down for him to binge some godsmack for awhile!!!! This made my day!
1000 Horsepower is one of my favorite songs by them
F yeah one my favorite songs before I get to work 😂
Have a great shift at work,
❤
Welcome to the Godsmack rabbit hole!
I used to work at a small club back in the day. Godsmack performed an acoustic set. It blew me away! They hit hard and full of tasty riffs... I did security for Sully during/after the show, he went out into the crowd and just talked to people for 30+ minutes signing autographs, taking pictures and answering questions. Such a genuine guy. It blew me away on how little he is (I'm 6'4") and allllll that sound comes out of him! Enjoy your journey!!!
'Whatever this is" lol! In Sullys words, hard rock groove with an attitude! I suggest I Stand Alone or Serenity next. In Serenity you really get to hear Sullys natural voice without the growling and it's just a beautiful yet heart wrenching song about Rush drummer Neil Peart. He lost his wife and then his daughter the next year, and he wrote a book called The Ghost Rider. Sully read the book and wrote Serenity. I Stand Alone on the other hand brings the full fucking bells and whistles! 🤘🤘 My wife and I have seen them 10 times, the best is when they opened up for Metallica in 05'. And we were right in the front! One of the Best shows we've Ever been too!
Wow! That had to have been epic!
@@whome1299 IT WAS 🤘🤘
I was 9 when this album dropped, and I ate that shit up. It was one of the most popular hard rock albums of the late 90's and early 00's.
Literally the entire first album is amazing.
American rock and roll at its finest
Speaking of grunge, Godsmacks “love-hate-sex-pain” took almost direct inspiration from Alice in chain’s “love hate love”
Get ready for some therapy....ear therapy by Sully!🎵💎
Missed the premiere for today’s uploads. Just catching them now. Reading the comments seems like a lot of people enjoyed this. Make sure to give them more down the road🤘
So, in case you didn't know...Sully Erna, the lead singer, was originally the drummer. He had a hard time finding a singer for his band, and finally got so fed up after auditioning DOZENS of singers that he decided to become the singer himself. He is very drum- and rhythm-based in his guitar playing. He also plays piano...he's an all-around very talented musician!
You should check out their live drum battle called "Batalla de Los Tambores"! I promise you, bruv, it'll blow your mind!!
I just saw Godsmack in concert last month. Amazing band and they sound just as good live.
These guys catalog is pretty amazing!!!
I have seen Godsmack 6 times since around 2003, they are so great LIVE!!
Godsmack currently have the #1 song on billboard's mainstream rock songs charts
Love your reactions brother.
You gotta do the best band ever, Corrosion of Conformity....songs like Clean my wounds, or Albatross...all are wicked!!🤘🤘
So glad to see you starting your journey further into Godsmack! They're my favorite band of all time, just barely beating out A Perfect Circle. Their entire discography is amazing and they haven't yet released a song that isn't good! Sully's motto for picking songs to put on their albums has been, "I don't want to put any song on an album that we don't think could be a single hit. Every song on our albums could be a single." I'm paraphrasing a bit, but that's been Sully and Godsmack's motto about how they've made their music.
Cheers from across the pond!
Godsmack “Whatever” will give you more chills.
“Greed” by Godsmack is definitely a must for you, trust me. 🤘
More Godsmack!!! You absolutely gotta check out 1000hp!!
More heavy riffs and the lyrics will give you some more insight on the band🤘🤙
Out of town for a funeral and I come back and find so many excellent reactions! Thanks for this!
One of my favorite bands!! Please listen to Moon Baby if you want the guitars and drums!!
godsmack has so many awesome songs. Seen them 3x live
Love this band! Boston I think...😊 others will no more. People have suggested this. My favorite is I stand Alone.
So glad you love these guys. Can't wait for more. Coup of my favs...Whiskey Hangover and I Fu**ing Hate You!!! Yeah, that's the name of the song. 🔥🔥🔥
They are AMAZING live! Been to at least 7 of their shows. 😊
Love it when you give the camera 'that look' then we know you like it and repeat is coming.
Being an old time rocker, watching your reactions, watching you grow and evolve makes me realize what it's all about. Keep rocking young brother. For once it's touched your soul, it'll stick by your side and carry you through the best and worst of times.✌
one of the most underrated all time rock songs
"Speak" is a fire Godsmack song and video too. It features a legendary badass on the drums from way back in the day--Shannon Larkin. Guy is an animal behind the kit.
I get to see them live in October and I cannot wait, this is THE band that made me start listening to metal
Voodoo, Serenity, and Unforgettable. A little old, a little new, all amazing.
They got that 'IT'! Straight 🔥
They have a lot of bangers. No doubt about that. One of my favorites is unforgettable. They go to a highschool and do school of rock for real. It's awesome.
Yeah, rewind as much as you please! I'm here for it. Great song, awesome reaction!! 🤘🏼🤘🏼
I had the honor to be in attendance to their MTV basement tape filming. Amazing introduction of new music.
You might like it when Sully ( lead singer) has a drum battle with their drummer. Its freaking great.😊
Seriously? Imma have to check that out thanks.
Keep the Godsmack coming!! Drum battle time. Look it up brother.
Great reaction and an amazing rabbit hole to go down! Serenity and Voodoo are definitely musts for any Godsmack fan! Rock it on! Oi Oi Oi!
"Whatever" is another banger from them. You'll love it!
Loving the Godsmack dive
You should watch their drum battle! Amazing!!!
My first concert was Godsmack with Adema opening. Sully did a drum solo upside down! It was epic. I’ll never forget it 😉 Whatever by Godsmack is a great song.
✌🏻💚🤘🏻 it’s the only way to fly!
Oooh, one of my favorites. Gonna love this one!
I love the little corner of your eye “Molly looks” to give us!
It’s like I know what you’re thinking😮 and you know that I know you know what I’m thinking and we’re just getting it, lol
Iraq 2003, I emailed their band page to see if I could get a digital download of a new album and explained I wasn't home to buy it, they sent me and my buddy signed "faceless" cds. We rocked that album for 4 months straight!
"I Stand Alone" was a great one by Godsmack. It was on the soundtrack for The Scorpion King. It was a so-so movie but an excellent soundtrack. Godsmack, P.O.D. Drowning Pool, System of a Down, Flaw, Sevendust, Coal Chamber... Lots of great bands.
MOLLYBOY you can’t really go wrong with GODSMACK- phenomenal live as well ……. Keep up up the stellar work !
So glad you picked this one . I call this my angry song. If I'm feeling sad, this gets me up and ready for all the bull sh*t.😊
Hey try Whatever, that's my first of the day song! It'll get you definitely pumped up!! Moon Baby I've speeding too much on! 🤣 as it goes faster, I seem to as well! 😂🤘〽️
@@Metal_Mary oh yes whatever is in my top 3 . It's not my angry song it's my your gonna get hurt song lol. Also I f* ck*ng hate you is up there pretty high . As well as Moon Baby. 😊
Dude this is off the first album, as soon as I heard this song, and the song called whatever. I sent them both to my ex.When she was pissing me off dove but I fell in love with this group right off the jump.Hard rock with major attitude
Being from Massachusetts, i remember when then rose up.
The record company that signed them wanted a radio friendly song. DJs at WAAF in Boston knew the band and started playing ""Whatever". The radio friendly song they recorded.
That broke the band and they are now who they are.
Serenity, Voodoo, and I Stand Alone are definite songs to check out but Whatever (as basic as it was) got them their deal
RIP Rocko
I FUCKING love Godsmack! One of my favorite bands! Check out their live Drum Battle! Insane ☠️
I have that drum battle on my playlist and Yes! it in InSANE
Godsmack is an all time fave. Voodoo was the first song id heard of theirs and I was instantly in love 😍 still making great music too!
Got to see Deftones open for these guys over 20 years ago. Chino was so drunk he could barely stand up, but Godsmack put on a GREAT show. So much fun. That was a good day in Spokane, WA. My buddy gave me the ticket for free, as it was intended for another guy from whom my buddy had just stole his girl. They've now been married 18 years.
Got to see Godsmack and Five Finger Death Punch together live it was amazing!! 💜🦋🤘🏻🎶
They are great live! I have seen them twice. Hopefully again in October
This era of new metal has a lot of good music that came out.
Nothing better then drinking beer an listening to this.
Their first album, which this is from, is badass. “Whatever” and “Voodoo” are big hits and I love “Immune”. Sully Erna, the singer can also play guitar and is a very good drummer. At their shows they have a drum battle that you should check out a video of.
i feel you would love shinedown, songs like, 45, sound of madness, adrenaline, bully, enemies, would absolutely be up your alley
Seen em last summer… still sound great!❤❤❤❤
My fave song by them. Banger! 💪💪
Seriously, if you liked this that much, you are in for a very pleasant surprise , they have a lot. So good. You should do the dueling drums video, crazy good
Pretty much everything on that debut album is fire. Thanks for the video.
Ah, that lovely music I grew up with.
the biggest thing about this album for me when it came out was the production/mastering/whatever you wanna call it. The entire album sounded fuckin amazing. Every track kicking ass helped but damn, it sounded so good in a car with a couple of fat subs.
Once again he's getting excited about the visual than the music! And that visul of the guitar player putting out made him cry! Love it! 😎
"No rest for the wicked" by gobsmacked. You have to check that one out next brother.
Awesome live band. You should check out a live show where Sully (lead singer/former drummer) has his drum kit brought on stage and they do a drum "dual"!!!! It's FIRE
Sully, the lead singer has a great solo album SULLY ERNA/ AVALON, he was also the drummer in 4 bands before he formed GODSMACK
Check out their drum battle
I saw them live and Sully had a huge drum set, like 1/4 of the stage and he did a long drum solo, not a traditional a traditional drum set that you sit in the middle of, he was standing during the performance
Many of Godsmack's early tracks are very primal with a bit of sensual thrown in, in my opinion. Makes for a pretty fire reaction every time. Lol. At least for me!!! Keep'em coming - lots to explore with this band.
Mooooooon baby!!!!!!!! Song by them!!
Yes as some of the comments suggest, I Stand Alone, Voo Doo, Serenity, Under Your Scars, Cry Like a Bitch, Whatever - they have a huge catalog of banging songs! 🔥🔥🔥🤘🏻🤘🏻
Moon Baby Live will give you an adrenaline rush from hell. That drummer!
