Our Iceland adventure begins! This video captures Day 1 of our 14-day journey around Iceland’s Ring Road (including the West Fjords)! We start the day landing in Keflavik Airport and end with breathtaking sights right outside of the Snaefellsness Peninsula, where we stayed in Reykholt and got to see the beautiful Hraunfossar and Barnafoss. Late at night, clear skies made our first day magical with the sights of a KP7 Northern Lights!

💡 Quick Tips for Day 1:
Google what to buy at the duty-free store BEFORE you arrive, to make the process quick and easy. After all, your luggage is waiting PAST the store.
Stop at Deig Bakery in Reykjavik for incredible donuts- like magical donuts.
Barnafoss and Hraunfossar ARE worth the stop! Great to start your journey around the ring road.
Fosshotel Reykholt is a cozy spot for exploring this area, with easy access to the waterfalls and Northern Lights viewing. If you can afford it, splurge a little extra for Hotel Husafell!
Don't drive if you know you will be tired - this is how many accidents happen in Iceland. Many recommend staying a night in Reykjavik before starting the drive - you can unwind at one of the lagoons!
