Day 2 of our Iceland adventure (October 2024) takes us through the breathtaking Snaefellsnes Peninsula! In one day, we crammed everything in!
Starting our day with a cozy breakfast at Fosshotel Reykholt, we then headed out to the un/official start of the Snaefellsness Peninsula: the Gerduberg Cliffs. We travelled all the way around, making all the stops before ending our day with sunset AND northern lights at Kirkjufell, Iceland's most photographed mountain.

Saxholl Crater is a must-see if you have time-it offers fantastic views of the peninsula. We did not get to see this, but would have opted for it again over Arnestapi Viewpoint!
Frista Food Truck at Arnarstapi is the perfect lunch stop to fill you up!
If you’re chasing Northern Lights, check aurora forecasts and find dark, clear skies-Kirkjufell is a great spot! Aurora app is phenomenal
