All business is the same. You are not selling a service, or a product. You are selling yourself. Remember this one thing and you will succeed at any business venture you take on. People want to give you their money, but its your job to make them feel good about doing it. If you can master that then its literally like Big Tom Callahan. He could sell a ketchup popsicle to a woman in white gloves.
Love the Tommy Boy reference. Fat guy in a little coat
The flip side of the coin is if you book every phone call you might be to cheap for your area.
Great timing on the video, I've been missing out on closing with customers lately. Keep em coming!
Great content man just discovered this channel ! Love seeing other businesses in Mass with a YT Channel on here ! We are out of Taunton .Keep up the great work brother 💪💪
What up Steve! Finally getting a chance to watch some videos staying busy despite the first winter and cold weather!
LETS GOOOO. So hype for the consistent post lately!
Dankkk
You have maybe already evolved your practice. But have you tried Having them send you a video of what they want to move. Or doing a face time (and recording it) for the distance consultation?
use close-end questions verse open-ended ones..
Thanks for the tips steve!
You're welcome!
Hi STEVE , We have a junk removal business in Columbus Ohio. We started about a year ago and have had trouble getting our website to rank on google. I watched this video and heard you mention JRA . We looked at them and they have good reviews but also have some that are not so great and sound like everyone else we have tried and just lost money. Do you use just the SEO service? We have called them and left 3 voice mails and not got a reply as of now which makes me question the service. Love the video. We was kinda doing this on the side and when I found your video’s it give us the determination to start this and be successful. Any more advise would be great. On a side note I have a uncle that lives outside of Boston so when I watch your video’s I refer to them as my cousins from BOSTON videos lol
Great video Steve.
Thank you brother! Hope you're starting the new year off right and staying healthy during it. See you eventually/soon! lol
Good stuff, thanks for the advice
Great video sir
Where do you rent your space for your trucks and office? And if you don't mind, what is the rate on that? Any suggestions on where to look to park a truck?
Whatever you find that works for you will be the right choice. Find it and lock it down.
Hi Steve! Thanks for another great video!
Where can I design and order those sticky flyers? I usually use doorhangers but I like the stickyz better
Find someone local in printing and graphic design to make them up
@@TristinRalphthanks
custumers are calling you about their problems, last thing they want to hear is your problems

Question from a newbie, is it common for startups to utilize box trucks in the beginning phases? And, is this uncommon?
I can see exactly where you are driving.
Steve what community page are you referring to?
There is a tab that says COMMUNITY at the top of the channel
Sell quality of service, good reputation, not price.
I like it Jim
Dude... I landed a big job (hoarder House) Im doing it solo mostly to increase profits, however I ended up underbidding and it turns out to be a bigger job than what I tought but im sure i can handle it just how ive been doing it... How do you think i could ask for more money? lol
btw i still dont have a trailer... hoarder house with a 6ft pickup lol
I would be honest with your client and pass it off to a local guy who is equipped for the job. Either that or bust your ass sun up to sun down for a week make sure you learned your lesson lol
@@SteveConroy1 hmm okay! I'ma see how much I can progress today and go from there since idk how much time they are willing to give me and go from there..
Thank you
@@oSoKxM4rIN3x Use every job as a learning tool. You won't regret it
@@SteveConroy1 long story short.. I cleaned up about 6tons of trash and did some labor for the guy at the place and now I'm having trouble getting paid for it.. he's got a real estate company flipping houses... What should I do?
@@oSoKxM4rIN3x Small claims baby!
how much do you pay yourself?
if you have a video that talks about that, please forward me that way. thanks!
@@joeypello3469 That is something completely up to you as the owner of your business.
