Just made your pancake recipe this morning. It was a hit with my family. My wife, who doesn't like pancakes, ate 3 of them. Thanks for sharing this and the videos. Keep up the good work!!
I'm a fan of vanilla bean paste instead of extract. Much better, and you get those little flecks of the actual vanilla beans. So good! I'll be making the soon! Looks delicious!
I'm definitely trying this recipe. In my regular pancake recipe I sometimes switch it up with either vanilla, almond, strawberry or banana extract. I usually add in some banana pieces and pecans with the banana extract pancakes.
Homemade vanilla extract is Vanilla bean and Vodka, let it sit 3 months takes a little time but it is so good I think you will love it I used 6 or 8 beans and 400 m of Vodka thanks for all your videos.
Excellent recipe! I love your griddle recipes. Something you might want to try sometime….I love vanilla but I love almond extract even more. I also incorporate some Reese’s peanut butter chips in my batter. Always a hit and truly addictive! Keep up the good work!
Those look awesome Neal 👍 my 94 year old mother used to call my older brother fluffy because of his pancakes. Really liked the color on those pancakes looked so delicious especially when you did the taste test.
Outstanding pancake recipe! Nice website too! Easy to print! SUBSTITUTIONS: 1) I subbed the milk for butter milk + a little whole milk to thin the batter slightly. 2) I cut sour cream in half. 3) I subbed 2T flour for 2T ground flax seed. Could also sub about 25% flour for whole wheat flour. Fun to experiment :)
Wow, you blew my whole comment! I saw the heading and was going to tell you to use baking soda and apple cider vinegar! I have not tried this for pancakes, but I separate my eggs and whip them stiff and fold in the batter for waffles. It makes them lighter and fluffier!
Just got your muffin mix recipe mastered, or at least acceptable and you crank this up to a new level. We served the muffin mix version this weekend to friends visiting and they raved over the flavors and taste, we used apple mix with International Vanilla coffee creamer. Now you go and up the game again. Well done to both of you!!
Haven't made pancakes on the griddle yet can't wait to make some good video. Chocolate chip pancakes are great 👍 will make them or put apples in them 😋
Congrats on your milestone of 100,000 subscribers, and we tried your recipe for these fluffy pancakes, everyone loved them. Thank you Thank you. God bless, from a loyal subscriber.
I'll have to try this even though I don't care for sour cream but it's worth a try. I will keep with using almond extract instead of vanilla extract as it's got more flavor that I like.
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Those pancakes look perfect! I bought some Kodiak pancake mix and made them with eggs, milk and butter ... and was totally underwhelmed. My husband asked what I did to the pancakes--and not in a good way. lol I am so going to be making your recipe next time around. Who knew all that vinegar could turn out such spectacular results! PS. Always used really good vanilla. PSS. More butter = more better.
I've done a lot of different pancake recipes and by far the easiest and it tastes just as good as anything homemade. I don't know if everyone is able to get it but southern biscuit flour formula L. It has little pieces of shortening and butter flavored specs in it. All you do is just put a cup or two of that in a bowl. Pour milk in it and mix it until that's the consistency you want. If you like thick pancakes, make it thick. If you like thinner pancakes, make it a thinner batter. You can add a little bit of sugar. You can add vanilla. It is seriously the best pancakes and so easy.
@@TheFlatTopKing And yes I'm all about homemade. I'm not a fan of boxed anything when you can make it better but just to buy something like that in a bag and it makes a pancake that tastes as good as anything else. It's pretty handy to have. This recipe looks great though... We've not seen any bacon dust in a while...
You can try adjusting your griddle temp at the bottle valve knob to get the temp lower than 350F. You have to turn in on low, watch the flame while turning the bottle valve knob off slowly to get a low flame.
@@denisestokes453 yes if the mix calls for 2/3 cup of water you would use 1/3 water and 1/3 sprite Everyone in my family says they are the best pancakes they have ever had
Neal... i gotta start watching these videos earlier, cause here it is 22:30 hours and I'm making pancakes. Luckily I have the Blackstone 17" E-Series griddle and it was just a matter of turning it on to the desired temp. I should have waited just a bit longer and listen to the temp you said i.e. 375 degrees. I set it to 360 and I think the extra 15 degrees would have browned them just a bit darker. I cheated though and used Bisquick Shake 'n Pour Buttermilk Pancake Mix. I'm sure they weren't as good as yours but it took care of my pancake fix.
Neal & Amy Congratulations on the 100,000👏 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 First off my wife is going to kill me but it's worth it. Your pancake recipe kicks butt ! I can't wait to cook my first breakfast on the flat top. Thank you for all the tips & recipes
I make my own vanilla. Vanilla bean and vodka. Has to sit for a long time in a cool dark place. 6 mo or so but I can control the vanilla flavor by the number of beans I put in. Plus when the beans are used up you can pull them out and dry them out and grind them into a fine powder and add to sugar for future recipies

On the vanilla question you can taste and smell the difference. Although I make my own vanilla. Getting ready to make 20 bottles of pure vanilla extract. 10 bottles of Madagascar vanilla extract and 10 bottles of Tahitian vanilla extract.
