- In this Football Manager 2024 Experiment, we have a young wonderkid squad and we have given them all 20 for Determination. This is a reverse of a video we recently did where we had 1 Determination. New Experiment idea 2: (The best of the 2): 1 CA squad, 200 PA. Start in Prem, how far do they fall before they rise again (while the players go from 1 up to 200)? Then what do they win (do they all make 200?) and then make them play until they're 50, how far does the club fall back again?
I like this. I tried this on the last FM but I messed it up. Youth intakes did me. I have plans for something like this though 👍 another great idea AC 🫡

Very interesting to see the Wingers going up to 190 CA too. There's a guy called Evidence Based Football Manager (EBFM) who does rigorous testing on training, and noted that players tend to hit their peaks by 24-5yo. The Winger going up from 150-ish to 190 goes against these tests, but ... i tend to note that my own players truly declined only after 33, and found it weird that my scouts tend to dig up the odd late-bloomers for me to sign cheaply.
Guess the amount of matches a player plays (esp at the higher/est levels like WCs and CLs and EPLs) help so much in their development, even in their late 20s. In my saves, I practise very heavy rotation. If I won everything, a player would have to be outstanding to be able to play 30-35 matches (or maybe 40 in the EPL with the two cups). But in turn, most players dropped to 4*-s at the end of the season too.
Sorry, rambling just like you now. 😅 Anyway, the most important hidden attribute (according to Zealand and EBFM) seems to be Professionalism. But 2nd one is Determination. As mentioned in the previous video, just very surprised to see the 170-ish team winning nothing with low Determination. Will surely not sign low Determination players now. Thanks~! 😅🙏
Yeah EBFM is great, his findings were very informative and thorough, not like my silly little tests, he gets the excel spreadsheets out and everything haha. He's a different level of analytical breakdown. He popped up in my comments on a vid a while back, which kinda blew my mind lol.
I think with the tweak to development and 'late bloomers' that has been integrated into this years game allowed for the winger to hit 190. I can only assume he was playing every week, and playing very well?
Yes, Professionalism is super important, but a couple of others are crucial too like Ambition. I dare say Professionalism and Ambition will get a run out in this format of experiment

Last FM before FM20 was FM06 ... youngsters are just so much harder to train nowadays. Because of those europeon ruling that we must have 4 HGC and 8 HGN players, I am snapping up those wonderkids at 17-18-ish and park them in my squad for 3 years, but then of course they are not good enough to play. And, I tend to have a full squad (last season, 34 players picked up a league medal) so the kids rarely get good consistent minutes. If not for the fact that for the last 2 seasons the league was won with like 8 matches to spare (and so the kids all get to start for most/all the remaining ones. And then, they played really really well even vs mid-table teams), they would have been much much worst ... noted that they have dropped to 4 or even 3.5* PA already. My wonderkids tend to become only 3* folks when I kept them as wonderkids, sigh ... (Also, FYI - Serie A is the 3rd best europeon league, so ePL is still best for training up wonderkids)
Never managed to train a late-bloomer into a 5* though (again, FM20). Have to sell them (at a profit) later.
Anyway, back to topic - Ambition would be the interesting one for you, given that your experiment starts at the bottom of the league pyramid. Let's see how unhappy players (and an unhappy squad for your case) works. 😅

Idk if its possible but if it is seems like a cool idea but get the perfect player but have him lose ability every season and see how far he can get before just becoming terrible and not playing.

Without manually editing attributes and PA every season I'm not sure it is possible. Feels like a good idea in principle but I fear the actual vid would be quite boring and anticlimactic. He'd become not good enough and move clubs due to lack of game time but as he moves He'd get worse and not be good enough again. Just be a whole lot of not playing i think

You should try one where you select your tactic you like and make the players have 20 stats for the position they play and the rest be 1 and be frozen.

No it'll be from newgan or a facepack. Or a glitch.
There was a bug in the pre-patch FM24 when newgens had ID numbers already used for real players, so got the real player's face. It's been fixed post-patch by adding r- for newgen IDs, although this has mucked up Newgan amongst others. @@DEMONGANGTV

New Experiment idea 1:
4 Prem teams: 1 has all the best strikers in the World but no other players., 1 with the midfielders (my prediction is that they'll do best), 1 with defenders and 1 with Goalkeepers (they'll probably suck so best ro do that to man u 😂). How do they do over a Prem season?
Do you mean make max ability players or like move players to teams, like kane, lewandowski, messi, salah etc.?

Just the best 25 players in each position to give them a squad.
Just release their squad and then transfer the best 25 players in each position to one club. Like you say, Kane & Co. could all be at Spurs, De Bruyne & Co. at say Man City, the goalkeeper squad at Man U, and the best 25 defenders at say Arsenal. Give them a transfer embargo and transfers as usual.
Obviously, if you don't like the idea, you don't like the idea.

Character flaw? As in personality? Its something I may steer into as i am doing individual players with personality types right now

It all depends on whether you have the in game editor or not. And how familiar you are with the pre game editor? Personally a great starting point is always a bumber TV deal for a league in a nation, maybe a lower league to see the rise of teams. Maybe max Youth for a nation. These are all great places to start, then going forward you can start to branch out as you become more comfortable with the pre and in game editor functions. Really get deep into it and push the boundaries
yeah i have lots of experience with the pre game editor normally on it like 1 hour a day at least and yes i do have the in game editor i might tamper with a non leauge team first. BTW just wondering how long you let it like sim for?@@jayhuahua
