I loved it, though yeah, the trailer is making the movie happy and cheerful one...which..it. is. not. Alan Rickman is the most amazing thing that happened to this film, so it's worth watching it. The script is amazing also, this movie is undoubtedly great, though Newell didn't let the actors to live into their characters properly.
3.Meredith took a PJ revenge talking to Stella's uncle;4.PJ and Stella were really in love, and Meredith,used to being the"first woman",had noticed it: when he starred in Captain Hook,his words sound like"revenge is accomplished"
I read she was originally turned down for the part because she was too young, so she died her hair red and got the part, After filming when Alan Rickman found out her age, he was really annoyed that they let her play the part, immoral on the part of the people who hired her,something like that, check it out..
According to the sources I read, she pretended to be 17 yr old and dyed her hair red for the role. The casting people said she looked to experienced and want a more innocient girl or something. She was 19 when she was in the film.
I think it was all a terrible misunderstanding caused willfully by Meredith:he was bisexual,made fun of people's feelings,had a strange love-hate relationship with PJ,n probably was Stella's father.Why? (CONTINUED)

PL belonged to Navy and a image of a ship is near the phone. In a certain way, she "had" her mother and her father with her and she was the same time with none of them.

1.Stella's mother was"exuberant"as the daughter:she may has attended both men;2.all people knew who was Stella,n that her mother was pregnant with an actor of their own theater company.ing them flirt,why no one said anything?
I just watched this movie yesterday, its amazing, i didn't find it depressing at all, it actually had some funny moments but the ending is really painful and made me think about the movie for the whole day. The trailer is very desieving though, people might expect to watch some sort of romantic comedy while in reality its not even near that.
I remember that this film literally infected my hole week! I couldnt get him out of my mind. Pretty depressing, and just sad. The ending is..well...tough!
I think P.L. took the realization of his true relationship to Stella to his watery grave. I think it would have destroyed her to know the truth about him. Stella calls her mother because it's her voice on the phone that speaks the time. It's her only connection since the mother abandoned her to go to America.
Please, if anyone could answer me: in the end of the filme, I couldn't understand if all people finally know who really was P.L.? The Stella's family knows who was he? The actors did? This I couldn't know. I think it is curious that Stella was "making o phone call to her mother" and the picture next her was the Navy.
i no in the film shes supposed to be around 20 but she just doesnt look it and it looks like hes a paedo which i dont like. kinda wished they chosen a diff actress for the part

@cw531gurl I have seen movies like Die Hard, Sweeney Todd and Perfume. My mother think that was ok, and I didn't have problems with them.

this trailer is really happy presented, zhe movie isn´t like this at all though. still, alan is in it and therefore worth watching it! my fav movie :3
