Or someone in the family will inherit it, my best advice too give you is to knock on her door and ask her if you could speak about a car she has, walk over to her and give her a number that is in a reasonable amount for the car ( look under it for rust and Etc etc but this will most lily piss her off and will not sell , so you can only give it a glace for pricing ). if she just shuts' you down man, you tried. i had come across one here in canada for 5,000 but it was a second owner, the second owner was 29 , and when i went to sit in the drivers side and the ignition . every light was lighten up on the dash, it was a 94 with a 2jz it would of costed 3x the amount to fix. but going back to you. For anyone talking about that "bov noise", that's the sound of no BOV. That flutter noise is actually pretty unhealthy for the turbo. Probably had something to do with the blown motor. That's why you always need a BOV on a turbo motor just in case.
I'd drive both. i personally prefer the mk4 but a mk3 with a 2j swap would be killer too. saw one on craigslist a while back for $2000 with an extra block.
