I am 68yrs old love your videos and patterns and the mother of 4 children which includes Triplets who are all adults now so I am really excited for both you and your husband and wish you a beautiful healthy and swift birth. This is the best years of your life bringing your new baby home but please remember to sleep when your baby sleeps so you can get as much rest as you can……oh and take the Beanie 😂 as trust me you won’t be in the mood to knit much! 👶🏼🩵🩵🩵🩵🩵🩵🩵
I’m 75 years old, mom/grandma and I TOTALLY agree with WhiteLotusOm! She’s right on target with her advice! The beanie would be good. It won’t take up much space and you probably won’t want to knit much anyway. Rest while in hospital as much as possible after your delivery. I’m so excited for you and your husband, and I can’t wait to see your new baby boy. ❤
This is excellent advice about resting and sleeping when the baby does. I suspect that the knitting will stay in the project bag for the duration of kika's hospital stay. Best wishes to her and her husband for the upcoming birth
One of the first things you realise when having a baby arrive is, there are no plans to be made. Its a time of allowing what will be. So excited for you and your sweetheart. My first was 3 days late and my last was 1 week early. They decided when they want to show up. Wishing you three a smooth and quick delivery. You got this Kika. 😊
I've been watching your knitting videos for years now and have loved following your journey. So happy for you both and wishing you an easy birth and lots of sleep! ❤
Another old timer here and completely agree with the others. Am mom to 4, nana to 8 and great nana to 1. I never had too much time in the hospital, was only in for 2 days each time. If iwasn't nursing the baby i was admiring this perfect little angel i was gifted with. The wonder of this miracle never gets old. Praying all goes well and quickly. Be good to yourself.
Of course we love you!!! It's normal to have all these questions!!! I love your dynamism, your creativity, your wonderful works in sublime colors and materials, maybe a little too warm for me living in France. I'm sending you lots of positive vibes for this special moment. See you soon!💕💝💖💗❣
I think it's so cute that you think you will have the time or will to knit, but I like the optimism 😊 the beanie would be a good no brainer project to work on, maybe to help distract yourself. I'm sending much love your way that everything goes smooth and you have your sweet baby in your arms soon ❤
I have loved watching your baby journey. My daughter has been expecting right along with you. She just had her baby boy 2 days ago. I am now a new grandma! Congratulations on your new addition!!😊
Be kind to yourself and if you don't knit that's okay. I think I brought several projects and books but none were really touched. Sleep when you can! Best of luck in the greatest adventure of all.
Being a mom can feel like dancing on a rope. The truth is your dancing on solid ground. Your love, your joy, your strength is the rythm of your dance. So dance your beautiful dance as a gift to your precious son. Donot forget every step you teach him, be one day the base of his own dance. Enjoy this precious time together. Time to rest and slowdance. Thank you for every splash of joy you give. ❤🙏🥰
Maybe you could knit a tiny project like a tiny beanie that you're baby could wear when you bring him home. That's double special .... I wish you all the luck with your little new worldpower 😉🥰🥰
21:53 I think the crochet baby blanket project is the best. Like granny square blanket, start from the centre and crochet until you are happy with the size. Fast, simple, can be stopped at any moment for other things like contractions or pushing the baby 😄 one tool, crochet hook, no need to turn your work front and back, you can do it with your eyes closed, just by feeling the sitches. And choose NOT FLYFFY yarn, baby skin is very sensitive and easy irritates and you need time to learn if your new baby is ok with wool and fluffy yarn, better take acrylic or cotton wich again both are perfect around new born babies and easy to clean (if by accident you spill something yukky on it). AND! The baby will have a blanket which was "born" the same day as he/she was ❤ for me it was blanket and my child is 17yo now, and she still LOVES her first blanket and keeps it on her bad 😄
You should make an opening in the front so you can wear the big sweater when you have your baby in a wrap 💜 and please make a poncho for wearing the baby with all the beautiful patterns 🥰😍🥰
Do a small project for your son, it will be with you forever. I have just found a jacket that was knitted for my son, he is now 39 years old and its nice going back in time when he actually fitted it. Its a walk down memory lane, I shall be thinking of you, lots of love from me in the UK❤
Your home office is yarn heaven!! 🤩🤩🤩 Thank you for this video. I was really surprised that you made one so short before your due date.😃 Fingers crossed for a happy healthy baby and happy healthy parents. 🤞🏼🤞🏼
Try what we have in US, called compression bags. Put yarn or pile of sweaters or afghan into them, seal them, vacuum out the air! Very flat n doesn't hurt items.
I wish you an easy delivery and a wonderful new life for you three. Looking forward to new patterns and hopefully a new book. I love Knit This. Oh and love the cat. ❤ 💐
So excited yo see a new video from you. I hope you can rest, nest, and knit until baby arrives. You'll be an amazing mom! And you're definitely glowing and radiant in these final days of pregnancy. Thinking of you and Juki!💗
Love all your videos: you're an amazing person, designer and knitter and I know you'll be an amazing mom! Good luck with the birth of your baby: you've got this!
I’m holding out for a summer knits knitting book 🙏 we have warm to hot weather 9-10mo a year. Many prayers for you and baby, labor and delivery was by far my favorite part of pregnancy.
Yes, could you please make another of the pink cotton sleeveless you showed at the end. I’m new at knitting and single strand cotton yarn in stockinette seems like something I could handle. I love summer knits and that one is so pretty. Thanks so much and take care!
I couldn't agree more with you Dawn! Please knit another of the pink sleeveless sweaters, I would love to do them for my daughter and daughter-in-law. The very best of good old Irish luck for your upcoming birth Kika! Sending love and very best wishes from the Emerald Isle! 💚
Best wishes in your pregnancy journey and your transition to motherhood! I so look forward to seeing you with your little person and all that you do! Many blessings! It’s a beautiful experience!!! ♥️🐑♥️🐑♥️
You are adorable! I wish you an easy, safe birth! Prayers for you! Look forward to seeing your first video after the baby arrives. 💗 I love the 2 yellow colored projects! Take care!
Putting in the baby seat.. then the ending made me cry with joy at the anticipation of new baby!! I saw baby moving in the belly... how adorable!!!! Sending love, hugs, prayers. Can't wait for the next video!!!
I vote for the beanie project to take along. Hospital stays are not very long these days and trust me, you will likely want to either sleep or spend hours just drinking in the look of that new little one. I wish you all the best. Praying for a smooth delivery. ❤
I was happy to have fluffy socks and a simple cosy dressing gown in hospitals and mittens for the baby as she tried to scratch herself . I'm getting very sentimental remembering my own labor/staying in hospital. I wish you an easy and fast labor, healthy baby and fast recovery. Hopefully these first days will be filled with love and will create a lot of lovely memories!
Love the idea to design and release more patterns by having your test knitters do more of your extra color knitting because I LOVE your patterns (especially when you add the video tutorial!!!)
Watching this while feeding my 8 week old, sitting in bed! I know from your videos how determined and driven you are but don't be hard on yourself if you don't keep on top of everything. Make yourself a priority so you can care for baby, everything else can wait. You will be surprised how much you miss the bump but having your body back is very exciting, especially when you get to eat your favourite foods again! Baby goes through so many changes in the first few weeks it can be hard to feel like you are getting the hang of it (and this is my third!) so be kind to yourself, ask for help from family and friends and rest as much as you can. My little one is already so strong and has such a strong personality it feels like she's been here forever. Enjoy your baby and take time to recover and be a family.
I appreciate your honesty and enjoy hearing about your creative passion. I pray for a blessed birthing experience. Thank you for the Craftsy membership discount 🥰
I just love watching your videos! I’m currently knitting your Darling Cardigan which I Love Love Love! It’s my first attempt to knit a cardigan and your pattern and tutorial make it possible and so enjoyable!! Thank you so much for your beautiful patterns and tutorials which give me the information and courage to knit them. I’m so excited for you, having your baby soon! It brings back such wonderful memories for me. I was 39-43 years old when I had my 3 babies (they are now 19-24 years old). Unfortunately I was not knitting back then but I love the idea of you having special knits created during this time. You will be in my thoughts and prayers as you go through this journey of having your first baby❤
Aaah!!, I am also knitting the darling cardigans in my first attempt to make something more elaborate, I have had more experience with crochet, but I love knitting with two needles, I hope it turns out well for me and I hope it does for you too. 🙏🥰👋
Love your patterns and book! Enjoy all the memories with your new bundle of joy. Best advice I ever got was get rid of your watch and go with the flow. Congratulations.
Make a simple shawl to wrap baby to you when you're walking around. I lived in mine. My mother showed me how and it was so easy to have hands free but baby close. Happy motherhood and healthy baby.❤
Hi Veronika. Thank you very much for this lovely podcast. Fingers crossed for the weeks to come. Please keep us posted. Sending much love for the precious baby boy ❤❤❤
I wish you all the best for the birth! My daughter will turn one year next week, its crazy, it feels like i can feel your emotions ❤ I had a baby blanket to knit with me at the hospital, but doesn't knit at all. Time goes by so fast, enjoy the first weeks with your baby. 😍
You are so adorable, and I just love watching your videos so much!! ❤️ As a mother of 4 and grandmother of 4, so far LOL, I'm so excited for you!! I feel like you are family and I'm just as excited as if you were my own family, for you and your new family. Also, your knitting tutorials inspire me so much!!! 🥰 Wishing you the very best and easy labor/birth and healthy baby!! Can't wait to see him!!! Blessings from the USA ❤❤❤
It's been so nice to watch your videos during this time. Thank you for taking us with you. Best wishes for a joyful transition to motherhood. 💛 (yellow in honor of that gorgeous limoncello cardigan!)
So excited for you. Babies are so very special. They can tax your nerves, of that there is no doubt, but there are so many moments that are just amazing. (Mama of three who are now grown and have given me Grandchildren who have given me Great Grandchildren! 😉☺)
The stitches sweater looks rely good with the skirt you were wearing and the green cardigan very livy with your dress which I love. The video was really interesting just like it always is.. you don't have long now to wait ❤
The videos make total sense and I always enjoy them. I love the new yellow cardigan and can't wait to hear your birth story (if you choose to share it). Also I must say that you were glowing in the car with your pink beanie and green jacket. Wishing you the best of luck in the upcoming weeks!
I wish you and your little family all the best. A very small project might be best. With all 4 of the children, every birth was different. You will have so much stuff to carry home from the place you give birth in. My middle sons were born very quickly. My daughter and last son took all day.
So excited for you. Wishing you a good labour. I remember being able to lay on my stomach for the first time after baby came and it feeling so good. Nice to have your body back to yourself. I look forward to seeing him. ❤
Good luck, Kika, all will be allright! Just go with the flow and when your baby has arrived, focus on yourself and your little boy. You will do awsome!
So excited for you both! Get ready! My first was 2 weeks early and my second was 3 weeks early 😂 Didn’t even have the crib built or a bag packed with the 1st 🤦🏻♀️ warm wishes for a wonderful birth and sleep for both of you. Best adventure life has ❤❤❤
Hei Kika! I have a feeling that the next time you post, your precious baby boy will have been born. I hope all is well with you and your new family of three (plus the pet family members, of course)! Thank you for taking us on your special journey. I so have enjoyed watching all along. I really appreciate your lovely content and love the soothing nature of your videos. Can't wait to cast on the Stitches sweater which will be my first ever color-work project...very excited! Please take care of yourself while you're taking care of everyone else. Be mindful of your needs and don't be afraid to communicate them. Enjoy your own evolution in this new phase of life and motherhood. Most importantly, take in and savor each moment as it comes because our babies grow up so incredibly fast! Sending you love and light. ❤
Considering all the change you were going through in this episode, you are holding up very well. No office, last knit decisions, baby coming who knows when. Well done.
🧶💕🌸💛🧡💕🧶 So happy for you and Yuki. Your video was perfect. So many huge projects! 😅 I have a lot to learn. Sending all the best vibes for an easy birth. ✨🌱✨
I am so happy for you. What a magical time in life. Cherish every moment of this experience. I wish you and your little family many blessings. I can’t wait to see your little one. By the way have you thought of knitting a blanket in the hospital for your baby? It doesn’t require a lot of thought and would be a wonderful reminder every time you tuck your baby in.
I would think a Maybe Forever Sweater would be a lovely hospital project. There are such good feelings in that pattern. Have a happy time meeting your new little boy!
Thank you for keeping us in your pregnancy loop. You are the one that got me back into hand knitting and I love your podcasts. I stopped knitting over 30 years ago and with my 3rd great grandson ,and you, I started back again. I am slowly relearning the basics but there are so many new things also. My granddaughter, I baby sit for my 3rd great grandson, is now pregnant with twins. Again, you are much loved by all of us. Thank you.
i don't have kids and never wanted. but it's always sssso heart worming seeing people who are so excited about having children. and i'm very very happy for you. especialy knowing how long you was waiting for this little fella ;) and i'm crossing my fingers for fast and easy labor ;D
Thank you for these videos Kika! My baby is almost four months old now, but the days of pregnancy seem soooo far away! I hope you have a peaceful delivery and that you can ease into motherhood with joy and confidence! 🩵
Kika, it has been almost 9 years since the last time I gave birth. My belly was also huge and I remember so well just before the birth I was so tired of being pregnant. Wish you all the best in giving birth. You know, it is the act that you will not experience that many times in your life., so enjoy it as much as you can! Sending you lots of energy for that moment!❤
Dear Kika, that XL sweater is just fine, you can always shrink it a little later on. This is a time when you should just RELAX. nothing else. A grab and go hospital bag is essential. NOW. LOL. blessings and more blessings to you and baby. ❤
I absolutely want to knit your new yellow cardigan sweater. I hope you do a pattern and hopefully a tutorial. I want to knit that sweater which would be a big new challenge for me.
To be a young mother...☺️ these are exciting times. I hope you are able to wind down a little and enjoy the experience. We will all be patient and wait with you. 🤗
You look so beautiful Kira. The best advice For any mom is get as much rest as you can. I wish you a short easy labor and lots of blessings for you and your little family.
Good luck Kika - hope you have a fast labour and are trying to rest when the baby does. Sometimes you want to be up & productive, but when you get woken up multiple times a night (me currently with a 10 month old), you need to find a way to squeeze in naps! And another yes to the pink vest pattern. But no rush - it's hard being a new Mum
So exciting for you and your hubby , it's the best time waiting and then you are parents, almost as exciting as new sweater designs , you are an awesome designer and you will be an awesome mom .
You are delightful and I wish you and Jukie and your baby all good things. I am happy that you found each other and that you are going to expand your family any moment now. You are going to be a loving, gentle, warm mother and I look forward to going along on this journey with you as you decide to share it with us!
Your designs are lovely especially the stitches sweater. The very large knit is far too large for you but cosy. You get excited about your new knit ideas which make the process very interesting for us. Heippa ❤😊
Hello, thank you so much for this new episode! You are amazing! I wish you an easy delivery and much health for you and the baby and for all your family! 😊🤗❤
Sooooo excited for you! Congratulations on your new best friend in life. You are going to be the BEST mom! Be sure to read to your baby every day. Hugs to you from Florida. Children are a blessing.
I am 68yrs old love your videos and patterns and the mother of 4 children which includes Triplets who are all adults now so I am really excited for both you and your husband and wish you a beautiful healthy and swift birth. I would make socks or something small. Maybe something for the baby. While your at the hospital
So excited for you guys. I can’t wait to see the new little guy.
That all sounds like good advice. I agree take any easy project praying you will have a quick painless and safe delivery

By the end, everyone is sick of being pregnant. But you are lovely! And your knitting is great!
Knit something for baby in hospital!
I love your enthusiasm,you’ll be a great mum❤

Well done.
Sending you and your partner love and hugs for your new arrival xxx love you all xx
🧶💕🌸💛🧡💕🧶 So happy for you and Yuki. Your video was perfect. So many huge projects! 😅 I have a lot to learn. Sending all the best vibes for an easy birth. ✨🌱✨
My first baby is due in 1.5 weeks as well, and Ive so enjoyed watching your journey as I go through my own!
Sending love and positive thoughts, prayers and energy your way!
Not long now then. Nature is helping you and you look blooming. So exciting. Love being with you. ❤🇬🇧
Have a good delivery, Veronika ❤
Good luck Kika - hope you have a fast labour and are trying to rest when the baby does. Sometimes you want to be up & productive, but when you get woken up multiple times a night (me currently with a 10 month old), you need to find a way to squeeze in naps! And another yes to the pink vest pattern. But no rush - it's hard being a new Mum
Good luck for the three of you! It's so nice to be taken with you during this wonderful time. All the best, Ruth
I wish you all the best for the birth and a beautyful start with your little one. Take your time, it's very precious, Babies grow so fast.
Congratulations on the baby! Can't wait to see him 😊
Wishing you all the best for an easy birth and a beautiful baby boy. Go with the flow and be happy!

Heippa ❤😊
