As someone who's had small hallucinations similar to that, I feel so much for Gab 🥺 makes me love her even more tho ❤ I'm so happy her and Sean have each other
them talking about gaslighting kids reminded me of the time my brother told me 'gullible' meant smart. he called me gullible, i asked what it was, he said smart, and i just went with it, not a sliver of doubt 😂
When Ethan started talking about Spencer getting sprayed by the Skunk. It reminded me of the time my childhood Blue Healer got sprayed. My dad had to bath her in plain tomato sauce to get the slemm out🤣 I was around maybe 8ish years old at the time?
As someone who is neurotypical, this podcast moves at a good pace for me, too. I hate when talk shows try to wring every last sentence out of a topic. You guys just hanging out feels like a real conversation, and that's perfect for a podcast.
I find it so comforting and so good to listen to with Ethan having dyslexia and both having ADHD and laughing together and love the pace and love the how relatable it is.
I’ve learned I can’t workout while listening to the podcast because I lost it when Jack said “colonel mustard in the kitchen with my ass” and had to lay my weights down 😂😂😂
I was listening. And when they got the the best friend question, I thought to myself "Man, I'm not particularly interested in this," so I skipped a few minutes, and Ethan just said "Cannibalism" as a part of a sentence So all I heard was, "How can I get a best friend, and how can I keep them forever?" "Cannibalism" I've been sitting here laughing for the last 3 minutes and my face is a bright red
you both are my comfort youtubers bc i am diagnosed with adhd AND autism so i tried listening to ur podcast to fall asleep bc i thought it would be soothing to hear my comfort youtubers voices lull me to sleep. i was so wrong. i’ve never been more interested in a podcast and i just didn’t get bored at all, so i wasn’t able to sleep until the end of each episode 😭😭
Listening to them talking about aphantasia is really interesting as someone with aphantasia. For anyone wondering, aphantasia is when you are unable to see visually in your mind; having a blind "minds eye". When I think of an apple, I don't see one. I just remember what an apple is and how I'd describe it in words. I cannot close my eyes and see a picture of an apple. It was really funny listening to them figure out what it is, even if they didn't figure it out very well.
Not only are they gold for neurodiversity but they take into account that there are people that listen and there’s people that watch and inadvertently being accessible to vision impaired people as well. Doesn’t apply to me but as a physically disabled person that knows how important accessibility is I love all of it.
I'll never get why people repeatedly point out Sean missing and not figuring out stuff in games. I mean, it may SOMETIMES be important for the whole understanding of the game, but is it really that important if it was some tiny little detail? Every playthrough is unique, just enjoy it and have fun, Sean already has great charisma and humour to make any game enjoyable
Exactly, backseat gaming is fun for no one. I mean Sean has said it multiple times but when he gets on camera, there's like this anxiety pressure thing where you have to keep the game going, make commentary and that can definitely make you miss thingsx it's okay! Like his bloodborne playthrough he mentioned he knows he's good at it but when he gets on camera he feels that"pressure" which is understandable I love Sean's videos exactly bc we're ADHD and seeing him gaming makes me feel seen lol
@@WomenRQueensNMyFaceIsTheThrome yesss, thank you! especially if it's like a 2 hour playthrough, I can only imagine how tiring it must be to play the game at one sitting and try to keep everything in mind.
Your absolutely correct! As someone with ADHD like him i do understand what he's going through and i wish people would be more understanding. I honestly don't get people who backseat game on people's RUclips videos, like if they're not playing how you want either go play it yourself or don't watch? Like- why feel the need to criticize others? I just don't get it 🤷
Everything about this podcast is just perfect. Them comparing the countries they live in is hilarious, talking about their history and opinions in a quick and silly way keeps me invested & all that with peak comedy. I can't wait to see where this podcast goes and what guests you will bring in ❤
Idk what it is but when Sean called he and Ethan the Prime Leakers just tickled something in my brain. The Prime Leakers!!! I feel like a little alien lol. Great episode guys!
Having the rejection sensitivity dysphoria that comes with adhd has me in a constant state of “are they laughing because I’m funny or are they laughing AT me?” But like I love joking around and making people laugh. Any time I have success I feel a sense of “awe I love making people laugh” followed immediately by “they hate you, they don’t think you’re funny. You’re stupid”
Ethan and Sean, thanks for another great episode. I'm really enjoying your conversational style of semi-manic topic hopping. It's fun to watch. Sounds like most of the dreams you mentioned are related to things that you're apprehensive about. Flying a plane through a tunnel of trees could be symbolic of trying to keep something on a path or sticking to a plan, and worrying that if you let it go off the rails something bad will happen. Getting to the airport without your passport could be either about being forgetful or following the rules or schedule, and worrying that it might inhibit a successful journey. Full disclosure, I'm not a psychologist, and my speciality is in biomedical analysis. While I did have classes in psychoanalytic research, that isn't my field of study. So consider this a bit of armchair interpretation, and take it with a grain of salt. Loving the podcast, and both of your channels. Keep up the great work.
Eef is really such a good actor. Ill never forget how emotional and pulled into the story I was when they did the whole story episode behind heehoo at camp unus annus. From that moment I thought he should be in movies. Id love to see it!

This is literally the only podcast I've ever watched 4 episodes of in a row while actually managing to follow along, thanks Sean and Ethan for making a safe space for us neurodivergent folks 😅💜
I heavily relate to the ADHD being a disability comment, I wasn't diagnosed until I was 23, nearly 24. I struggled in school with staying interested, but I was always told I was lazy and that I was just making excuses so I could do nothing but draw during class. I also frequently forgot my homework, but my parents would get mad if I wrote down the homework on my arm so I didn't forget. And then of course they gave me the "I forgot is not a good excuse" speech every time. I wish I'd known what "racing thoughts" actually meant when I was younger bc to me it was just noise that I wasn't even fully aware of until I took Ritalin for the first time and suddenly I could hear and see better because my brain was more focused and was actually quiet. Ok rant over, I'll always be a little bitter about how I was treated regarding my school issues.
the talking about the dreams really helped me because i have some VERY weird and scary dreams like ethan with still hearing it after waking up, i thought i was like one of the only people but it’s kinda comforting to hear it’s not just me
if you're serious about doing sword stuff, you should look into HEMA ( Historical European Martial Arts) or SCA (Society for Creative Anachronism) groups near either of your locations. HEMA is more of a modernized sport, so think fencing jackets and masks. Similarly, SCA do heavy armor stuff and host big battles. if you're doing things in Ethans area you're probably more likely to find an SCA group, and the Knights armor and sword stuff could make for a pretty fun video!
Sean's sleep paralysis is so much like mine. It only happens if I take a nap, but it's super freaky because it feels like if I don't breathe on purpose I'll just suffocate. I try to make myself move to wake up and sometimes it takes a while, I end up being more exhausted than when I fell asleep 🙄
My sleep paralysis is Eef, but he has red solo cups on his hands and feet, and he's on all fours, and his trotting awkwardly towards me from the doorway and I can't escape him.
Watching you guys on your individual channels helped me realise I had undiagnosed ADHD and now I'm finally getting help after years of thinking I was crazy - so thanks, you boys are solid gold 👍
Jack those dreams you have are most likely due to stress and/or anxiety (specifically worry of losing control), I have the same thing, and it’s connected to OCD. You guys should definitely do something more to explore that, it’s a really interesting subject.
I've had multiple stress dreams and anytime I enter sleep paralysis or dream get too weird I'll force myself self awake. And for me at least is an OCD thing
I was listening to this episode on Spotify but once I heard Ethan’s performance start about an hour in I knew I had to see his face and that’s the whole reason I’m here 😂
I'm glad that Sean said that he dreamed of dying and or killing someone bc I thought I had something wrong, I dream of dying a lot and loosing loved ones and I felt kinda out of place, I already dread loosing people I love and dreaming about it makes it worse. I really love this podcast btw, my brain is slowly but surely leaking.🙂
Count your fingers multiple times a day and you will subconsciously count them in your sleep/dreams but you rarely have 5 fingers in your dreams, so your conscious will become aware that you're dreaming and you can partially take control of the dream.
My mom always said that she really wanted to teach a kid language wrong. Like, just switch all the words around but be consistent, for example, instead of the word "you" she would say "that" and for every word just use a different one so they talk in like word salad. She also told me the grease spots on the road were kids who didn't look both ways and got smooshed flat. Or that a shoe horn was a magical golden horn that, if you played the right melody, it would magically pop your shoes on and tie them. I liked for one of them for like 3 years. I'd get so mad every time a Payless employee tried to give me a real shoe horn. Lol
Ethan described exactly how i feel with the "how are you guys remembering all this information" etc. Im doing exams right now and everyone ive talked to remembers all this information and all i cdn say it WAAAAAH???
"It's like songs are playing in my head before I wake up" YES! I experience this most mornings, I wake up and slowly become aware that a song is playing in my head before I've even registered it's happening. And usually songs I haven't heard in a while.
I do dog grooming for a living and i get dogs who are skunked all of the time. The thing we use is a paste that is equal parts baking soda, dish soap (preferably Dawn) and peroxide. Mix it in the bowl and lather your dog in it (dont wet them first, put it on while theyre dry) and let it sink for 5 minutes or so abd scrub it into their coat, then rinse and wash them with whatever shampoo you normally use and it usually gets the smell out pretty good
Hey y'all, I study brains for a living, and yes people with aphantasia (no inner senses, inner eyes, inner nose, etc.) cannot hear song lyrics in their head. Don't get songs stuck in their head. Cannot "imagine" themselves on a beach, and think people are using a figure of speech when they say "picture" something in your head. They cannot conjure a smell from their past or the face of a loved one, but they can recognize it when they see it. They know the criteria for things, but don't have an inner representation of those features. They think conceptually, not with an inner voice. So there is no concept of "loud" thoughts. Keep in mind, not everyone with the condition has the same form or intensity. Some people can "hear" but can't see, or they can see a vague 2D apple, but couldn't interact with it or "taste" it. Really interesting stuff the mind can do! If you wanna look up another cool (but unfortunate) condition, you should look up the man who sees numbers as spaghetti and had to come up with his own system of writing and typing numbers in order to continue being a mathematician (patient RFS) edit - there is also "hyperphantasia," which Seán might have, where you have particularly vivid inner senses. Like myself, I can take a full 3d apple, move the lighting to see different reflections. I can take a bite and feel the juice spray and taste/smell the apple. Could simulate the feeling of not chewing it enough and hurting my throat a bit. There's almost always a song playing in my head, and sometimes in a silent car, I will hit the skip button to try to skip what's playing in my head. It's hard to imagine not having all of that all the time.
S: "You already did all the things on Unus Annus." Less than five minutes later: S: "We should do axe-throwing!" E: "I've never done that before!" Unus Annus fans: "..............Eef."

As someone who's had small hallucinations similar to that, I feel so much for Gab 🥺 makes me love her even more tho ❤ I'm so happy her and Sean have each other
Every time Ethan slips into his slightly lisp-y voice, what follows is pure gold.
them talking about gaslighting kids reminded me of the time my brother told me 'gullible' meant smart.
he called me gullible, i asked what it was, he said smart, and i just went with it, not a sliver of doubt 😂
Absolutely in LOVE with both the surgeon room and the therapist's office set idea

Brainleak meets distractible for a three episode duo
I find it so comforting and so good to listen to with Ethan having dyslexia and both having ADHD and laughing together and love the pace and love the how relatable it is.
I’ve learned I can’t workout while listening to the podcast because I lost it when Jack said “colonel mustard in the kitchen with my ass” and had to lay my weights down 😂😂😂
The thing I love the most about this is that I watch these guys at 1.75x speed and get every single thing. Its so comforting.
I was listening. And when they got the the best friend question, I thought to myself "Man, I'm not particularly interested in this," so I skipped a few minutes, and Ethan just said "Cannibalism" as a part of a sentence
So all I heard was,
"How can I get a best friend, and how can I keep them forever?"
"Cannibalism"
I've been sitting here laughing for the last 3 minutes and my face is a bright red
you both are my comfort youtubers bc i am diagnosed with adhd AND autism so i tried listening to ur podcast to fall asleep bc i thought it would be soothing to hear my comfort youtubers voices lull me to sleep. i was so wrong. i’ve never been more interested in a podcast and i just didn’t get bored at all, so i wasn’t able to sleep until the end of each episode 😭😭
Jack complaining about 28° and
I'm here happily Leaking on 45°C (113 in American) enjoying the Podcast
FOURTY FIVE DEGREES HOW ARE YOU ALIVE
Is it moist where you are? I live in Florida, so if it's dry, then im moving there asap.
Alberta?
@@magicsasafras3414 no no I'm in Central India so it's dry but hot winds are pain
@@Captain_Yata genetics I guess we are accustomed to the heat
I love how jack says “there is like 30 ppl sitting in one room” like it’s a crazy thing when in America that’s like an average class size😭
Like his bloodborne playthrough he mentioned he knows he's good at it but when he gets on camera he feels that"pressure" which is understandable
I love Sean's videos exactly bc we're ADHD and seeing him gaming makes me feel seen lol
I just don't get it 🤷
I'm so glad that Sean brought up his ability to just quip at will because I'm still laughing at him calling Ryan an Ikea Waldo 4 years later
This is literally the only podcast I’ve never had to skip through because topics are so lengthy. This is very much how fast my brain works and I love it! Thank you
This is literally the only podcast I've ever watched 4 episodes of in a row while actually managing to follow along, thanks Sean and Ethan for making a safe space for us neurodivergent folks 😅💜
This is a podcast where they talk about what they should do together on the podcast 😂🤣
the sound before the adverts scared the shit out of my cat as she was sleeping and I felt her do the jump-in-your-sleep thing lol
That sound scares the shit out of ME and makes me jump every time 😭
the talking about the dreams really helped me because i have some VERY weird and scary dreams like ethan with still hearing it after waking up, i thought i was like one of the only people but it’s kinda comforting to hear it’s not just me
if you're serious about doing sword stuff, you should look into HEMA ( Historical European Martial Arts) or SCA (Society for Creative Anachronism) groups near either of your locations.
This is such a great idea!
The thing with Sean's plane dreams is actually super significant! It means that his brain is leaking and he's a big boy now! Cool stuff! 👍
Watching you guys on your individual channels helped me realise I had undiagnosed ADHD and now I'm finally getting help after years of thinking I was crazy - so thanks, you boys are solid gold 👍
I would love to hear you guys and Evelien talk more about your dreams. Dreams are such a fascinating subject.
Another OCD checking in- I get similar things from time to time as well!
I was listening to this episode on Spotify but once I heard Ethan’s performance start about an hour in I knew I had to see his face and that’s the whole reason I’m here 😂
I'm consuming these podcast the second they come out, and then I have to wait one week for a new one😭
4:18 so glad the internet relayed that. I feel the same.
We used to joke around about telling your kids a spoon is a fork, but the sky is red?!? BRILLIANT
Corner time with eef should be a mini repeat segment please
My favourite episode so far! The bad advice part was UNHINGED I absolutely loved it
Ethan not remembering that he threw axes with Mark... Also on UA.. 😅
Count your fingers multiple times a day and you will subconsciously count them in your sleep/dreams but you rarely have 5 fingers in your dreams, so your conscious will become aware that you're dreaming and you can partially take control of the dream.
You're welcome
41:37 I’m pretty sure Ethan has done axe throwing tbh😅
He threw axes in Unnus Annus I’m pretty sure
45:31
Ethan: Ok ok, now me YOU!
Idk why but this gave me major _toddlers taking turns being stupid_ vibes 😂
The dream segment and the word association was both so amazing great job 💚💙
1:04:30 is giving all eyes on me by bo burnham when he screams
You guys need to talk to Bob! He cant see images in his head and it effects his dreams too! It's really interesting
"It's like songs are playing in my head before I wake up"
YES!
If you wanna look up another cool (but unfortunate) condition, you should look up the man who sees numbers as spaghetti and had to come up with his own system of writing and typing numbers in order to continue being a mathematician (patient RFS)
edit - there is also "hyperphantasia," which Seán might have, where you have particularly vivid inner senses.
S: "You already did all the things on Unus Annus."
Less than five minutes later:
S: "We should do axe-throwing!"
E: "I've never done that before!"
Unus Annus fans: "..............Eef."
As someone who’s obsessed with SuperMega, I love the mentions of our boys ❤ pls have Matt and Ryan on as guests someday. I’d scream
As a born and raised American, I can testify that the Fahrenheit and Imperial system are ridiculously inferior to Celsius and metric...
Love how y’all talked about how this pod cast is best for adhd people since that was the first thing I ever thought!! I have watched every single episode and even the “pilot” one, LOVE THIS!!
