I swear this obsession with Bash being a good game is from people playing it when younger and having good memories of it. Me and another friend played the shit out of it even though it was bullshit and frustrating. I picked it up again recently because I had good memories of it and it's absolutely horrible. I for some godforsaken reason bought a physical copy which I just cannot bring myself to play it again. I shamelessly use memory manipulation last time I played.
