Second, Conduit and Rev are meta, use the meta, you shoot people and expect them to die, but they get conduit in the mid-fight and get back to cover. I'm on windows11, dx12, and a 4070ti. The game feels perfect at dx12 +without disabling full screen optimization. When I try to check that disable fso, the game feels laggier a little
you must not have paid much attention because I addressed dx12 in the video. This is only for dx11 and has no effect on dx12. Also directx12 apex is literally a different exe. Doing this will in no way shape or form affect your dx12 game, you're just tripping
@@daviddave8761 did windows 10 get the win11 exclusive feature to optimize windowed games? If so you're correct, if not you're incorrect. But I do agree it's not needed because no one should use win 10 anymore
Wait. So what does changing the flags from 11 to 211 actually do? Also, does this fix work for similar server based games like The Cycle, TF2, Fortnite, etc...?
all we're doing is forcing windows to recognize that we want to disable fullscreen optimizations. Apex doesn't recognize it when we just do it through windows properties so we have to edit the registry. With most games you can just go to properties instead of using the registry

I feel like they have pretty good resources on it but I could do that since there's some demand for it. Though ideally if I'm doing that I'd want to be able to compare my performance on standard windows vs revios so it would take a bit of time and effort
doesnt do anything in dx12 games and with most dx11 games you can just go to properties and check disable fullscreen optimizations. Apex ignores that setting for whatever reason, thats why we use the registry

Did anyone knows how to apply that regfix to the dx12 version of the game, i've felt that it was way smother than the dx11 one and was wondering if its also apliable?
its not possible with dx12, however it does for the most part fix the issue we're addressing with this tweak. DX12 in apex has lower performance and more stutters for many people though so I would recommend staying on dx11 until it comes out of beta
@@LOBOTOMYtv In the past it was recommend to disable fullscreen optimization because it was bugy at the time For now on it fine and even better to have it on
Don't listen to this guy, Idk what time he's living in but nobody does this whole fullscreen exclusive mode anymore cause Microsoft got their shit together and their fullscreen optimization works beautifully now and the only thing you'll get is like 0.5-1 ms which is not noticeable, at all, a human reaction time is like 180-200ms on average. It causes more trouble than it solves. I know because this is how I played the game for over a year, but it kept glitching, as soon as I disabled it and went back to optimized fullscreen my game ran a lot better. You'd get much more noticeable improvement from lowering the mouse queue size, google it cause I'm not explaining it.
I can't get this fix to work on r5reloaded/FlowStateAimTrainer :/ I tried disabling full screen opzs on launcher.exe and did the regedit thing on the the r5apex.exe in the r5reloaded folder. Incidentally, I wasn't able to try this fix on my normal Apex install cause it would find the r5reloaded exe instead of the Origin one. Thinking it might just be easier to try and..."obtain" Windows 11 then deal with these shenans... Also, wasn't able to edit the launcher.exe in regedit to change 11 to 211. Also, does anyone know the significance of these values? Can I just put 0?
11 corresponds to fullscreen optimizations enabled, 211 corresponds to disabled. Shouldnt need to regedit anything other than apex to get it to work. I think I remember having the same issue with r5reloaded and wasnt sure how I fixed it if at all. I think the issue is due to being installed separately, but even if you could fix it, the game has more input lag for me bc of no nvidia reflex and 190 frame cap

@@ULIKTHESE yes but if you have parts 4 years old or newer (rtx 30, ryzen 5000) then you should be using dx12
@@LOBOTOMYtv No, I mean, I tried changing the setting for that DX12 .exe file and the game feels a tiny bit laggier than before.
do i have to do this every time i log on my pc?
but is this legal ? this not change the game files or something ( the part of registry) im afraid of ban please reply to my comment thank u
its completely fine lol and literally undetectable. its just changing stuff on your pc
@@LOBOTOMYtv ok thank you
Wow, I noticed the difference in smoothness while tracking immediately. Question: could one do this for Overwatch 2 as well?
dont see any reason to
@@LOBOTOMYtv Wouldn't OW2 suffer from the same Windows 10 full screen optimization issues you diagnosed here?
does not work anymore on 10 but also not needed anymore
@@LOBOTOMYtv Oh. Gotcha. So it might help with other games, but we probably won't need the regedit tweaks to do it. Thanks!
Here's to hoping I stopping lagging into rocks and other stupid stuff.
Can this work with a gaming laptop, legion5, 144hz, rtx 2060, ryzen 4800h
yeah
so I’m on windows 11 (mistake I made and idk how to go back to 10) and I can’t find that setting u showed specifically for win 11. when I follow those steps the setting just isn’t there. what should I do?
@@nameless.0190 thanks
@@hypnotic_o yeah sorry not sure if I clarified that its only in the newer versions
@@LOBOTOMYtv I updated and the setting didn’t work, I could still see pop ups when I changed my volume through my keyboard and stuff. so I just followed the reg edits and it worked perfectly! thanks lobo ur amazing 🐐
so i’ve been running this for months cuz of you but maybe once a week it changes back in my registry n i have to re-edit it, no clue why
that's super weird but does it actually change your performance or anything? I've had it change back for me a few times but it still was launching in exclusive fullscreen mode. I think it was confused by me switching between origin and steam tho
just put this on got a 20 bomb first game
if you ever have the time or will try and make a revios turtorial?
I feel like they have pretty good resources on it but I could do that since there's some demand for it. Though ideally if I'm doing that I'd want to be able to compare my performance on standard windows vs revios so it would take a bit of time and effort
you have to be the best setting channel for apex and i feel privlegded to have found your channel, thank you @lobotomytv🔥
After alt tab the mouse cursor is appearing in the middle of the screen. why?
just press escape lol that's been a bug in the game for almost a year
@@LOBOTOMYtv i know but only appear after change on reg 11 to 211
can changing the flags in regedit for any fullscreen game have the same effect?
doesnt do anything in dx12 games and with most dx11 games you can just go to properties and check disable fullscreen optimizations. Apex ignores that setting for whatever reason, thats why we use the registry
ah okay thanks man
if i made a before and after vid of these settings... sheeesh
or use linux and block compositing
and deal with a whole host of other issues with gaming but yeah
what are your launch options?
-dev is the only notable one if you don't use stretched res

@@LOBOTOMYtv it was likely and nah I don’t use dx12 😂
Why would u change it then?
thanks for all your work on Apex Latency otpimisations on your videos
Just a question, in 1st one u checked "overide DPI scaling , system (enhanced) " but not in this one, what DPI scaling does ?
does this work with pubg? set the flags to 211
no clue
is this okay with EA app
Can you do this for halo infinite ?
not possible
don't tick disable fullscreen optimizations, when you record screen gameplay using outplayed it will freeze frame on the recording..
your first issue was using outplayed lmao. just use obs and use game capture
@@LOBOTOMYtv mine says r5apex_dx12 what do I do then?

damn u got goats in apex added on steam i peeped lmao
ty man :)
You should't disable fullscreen optimization it literally says optimization.
Stop spreading miss information
if this isn't a joke you are incredibly dense LMFAO
Lmao
@@LOBOTOMYtv In the past it was recommend to disable fullscreen optimization because it was bugy at the time
For now on it fine and even better to have it on
@@LOBOTOMYtv And what "dense" mean ?
I aint reading all that
I can't get this fix to work on r5reloaded/FlowStateAimTrainer :/ I tried disabling full screen opzs on launcher.exe and did the regedit thing on the the r5apex.exe in the r5reloaded folder.
@@LOBOTOMYtv Hey, so I found out you can turn on full screen by pressing "Alt+Enter". You can turn on windowed mode, then press "Alt+Enter" so that you can tell that it is on. Lol, the first time I wrote this, I accidentally wrote "Alt+F4".
Hi! Just to make sure on win11 I only need to go to graphic settings and put windowed optimizations on? No need for disabling dpi scaling or anything else? Playing on dx11
play on dx12
If I have r5apex_dx12.exe, so I guess I'm already on dx12? There's no point in doing it for me then if I understand correctly
Devs added beta version of dx12 to those that want to try it out. You are still on dx11 version of the game if you didn't use launch option command
'' -eac_launcher_settings SettingsDX12.json ''.
