Holy Moly, it's been a long time since I released a Stories From Sodor episode. After this episode, the series will be on a break because I'd like to take the time to write more stories and expand my AU for the channel.
I will send out a poll to ask what custom engine you all like to see next for "Custom Workshops."

“So why is he called the old warrior?”
“Because he was the founder of basketball”
“Really?”
“No, I actually have no idea”
From T1E2H3's 'The Search for Smudger'?
@@JojoCat2008 yep

Bertram is named the old warrior cause of how he was so brave

Lmao
I love how Duke still calls Sir Handel and Peter Sam “Falcon” and “Stuart”. Very Grandpa thing.
I like how you gave Bertram an origin story of how he is nicknamed the Old Warrior, and that he is named after the first STH.
So, Unlike Bertram, Duncan Didn't Have Much To Talk About His Name.
2:13 the Sudric Language erasure is real lmao
Loved this story! Even though I could tell where it was going, I loved the engines' reaction at the end as to who Bertram was.
Omg Bertrams name came from the 1st Topham hatt. Swindon gave the name away. Continuity and a backstory is great. Really good.
IT'S BACK!!!!! Nice backstory you gave Bertram. Having him named after the first Fat Controller, really clever there. 👍
I like how Duncan and Rusty are just ferm friends in this
HE’S BACK!!! An amazing episode about Bertram, and about how he got his name. The plot twist at the end was a little bit of a shocker, but it does make sense. The voice acting was great and the visuals are great too! Really looking forward to seeing what comes next!!
Finally! After two years, it's finally back! The fact that Bertram was named after the first Fat Controller was surprising! Keep up the good work, my guy!
This is a lovely episode, however my inner-anorak must point out that Skarloey and Rheneas are Sudric names not Welsh, though they are based off Welsh. Apart from that this was a charming video, depicting the little railways of Sodor as whimsical as always.
I don't know what I was drinking when I wrote the story 3 years ago
@@NWR58 lol. It's fine, it didn't ruin the story in any way, it's still a brilliant narrative.
It's good to see this series coming back once again, I really enjoyed this recent episode of the hero's name, it was quite interesting on how bertram got his name from, which is really cool. anyway, you and the voice actors that helped on voicing some of the engines and people did a great job, and very nice work on the filming and editing for on this episode. 😁👍
AA I LOVED THIS EPISODE IT WAS SO GOOOOD!!
WOAH THOMASADVENTURES?
That was awesome totally love the idea of the plot twist and the story as a whole was amazing don't disappear ever again we miss you around here
Wow, it's about time we get another episode to Stories from Sodor, it feels like forever.
The king is back!!!
Such a great story! Love that plot twist where it turns out Bertram (the man) was the Fat Director!
Fantastic job! I really liked Bertram origin story and how he was named Bertram, and I also like the reveal of STH I that was very unexpected
Another wonderful episode Jack I'm so glad this series is back and of course this one is focus on the narrow gage engines in your series so that's even better. And of course, I love your back story for Bertram as I'm still trying to come up with my own LOL, but I also just got to love how it comes full circle with Bertram being named after the first fat controller. Also 6:57 Rest in peace Peter. Keep up the good work man and I can't wait to see more episodes and content in the future.
when the world needed him most, he returned
another amazing story man ❤
I'm looking forward to seeing this.
Interesting using Wooden Railway as Narrow Gauge.
I honestly never saw that plot twist coming
Great story
A plot twist indeed. I really should have seen it coming.
Rlly love this stories from sodor they feel so real like you make the toys come to life
Another splendid episode as always! SERENITY NOW!!!!!!!
The legend has officially return!
Like 4 lines I recorded ages ago glad to see it out, worth the wait ❤
An excellent story and welcome back
Amazing episode, it was a nice story about Bertram and it’s nice to see you back
6:57 I see you also have a deep respect for the late pass Crazy Caboose Creations. Rest in peace for Peter.
This was a great first narrow gauge story to ur series bravo 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Wow this episode was great!! So glad your doing your series again!!
Serenity now, insanity later
It feels so good to see the narrow gauge railway in your series and bertrums origin story
15:41 Spider is all time best character in your series, Jack. Hope we can see more of them in future videos!
Real talk, loved this. Super enjoyable.
What a plot twist No one would expect that Bertram was named after the hat family
Hey, You're Back!
This was amazing man!!!
Lovely episode!
I finally come back to this series after years only to see there’s a new episode and within the first few minutes I’m already impressed
Using the wooden railway characters for the narrow gauge engines is genius, similar to how you used die cast figures for the small engines, very creative
I loved this! Great work, man!
That was a BRILLIANT Story! And I look forward to the newer ones to come soon!
Omg the series returns.
Outstanding Performance 😃👍
So we finally learned the first name of the first fat controller and the back story of: Old Warrior AKA Bertram! 16:16
Awesome
Thank you for this video! I really enjoyed it
A good story of Bertam good job
Hey NWR58! 🚂📖 I just watched "Stories from Sodor Episode 20: The Hero's Name," and it was worth the wait! The storytelling was captivating, and I appreciate the effort you put into giving Bertram a meaningful origin story. The connection to the first STH and the nickname "Old Warrior" adds a layer of depth to his character.
Taking a break to expand your AU and gather input from your audience on the next custom engine for "Custom Workshops" sounds like a fantastic idea. It shows your commitment to delivering quality content and engaging with your community. I'm sure your viewers will eagerly anticipate the return of the series.
On a personal note, your work on "Stories from Sodor" has been one of my inspirations for creating my own RUclips channel, TheGreatOAnimationStudios. I'm currently working on "The Adventures of the Steam Team," a Fan Made Animated Series featuring crossovers of various cartoon shows and characters. Your dedication to storytelling and world-building motivates me to continue improving my craft.
Looking forward to the future episodes of "Stories from Sodor" and the exciting developments in your AU. Keep up the excellent work!
I love this one fantastic job
You always do nice work. Very nicely done. The plot twist at the end really surprised me. So the first fat controller was called Sir Bertram Hatt?
Sorry about your mic quality. But outstanding work mate.
I love this one ❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉😊😊😊😊😊😊
Its been two years since you posted a stories from sodor episode
Hello NWR58, I really like your series a lot, they are really creative, what I wish is to be part of your series one day though.
Wait pumping engine.....
Stanley?
Vertical boiler engines.....
Coffee pot 🗿
* Nah the pumping engine wouldn’t be Stanley yet, just some generic one - this would be set around 1905 when the Tidmouth, Knapford and Elsbridge Railway was built and Stanley didn’t become the mine’s pumping engine until 1946, some 40 years later.
And da coffee pots?
You know whats weird, they got a small motor for the old Edward, but they don't have a small motor for Glynn
It’s nice you gave Bertram some story potential. I wonder if you have any standard gauge engines for Wooden Railway? I also am eager to see some more showcases on your custom models soon.
Sweet
Fantastic
Nice
Nice one
You should make a story about how Duncan came to the skr
IS COOL
Good story Jack. But I have a question. How did Callum voice one of the miners? I thought he retired.
Sir Bertram Topham Hatt the first ! 14:12
It’s weird to me is that people in real life are kind of taller then narrow gauge engines and yet using wooden toys it throws me off on how small the people figure are
W epic
Emily Hatt 😮 He would be shocked if found out someone named him an engine for miss grandfather. Thomas and friends
Quote bear right here : 14:50
more narrow gauge stories
Any plans on making a Smudger return episode?
Wait so if it wasn’t for bertram nearly all the engines on the standard gauge railway and every other railway would be dead
When you think of it that way then yes
R u going to do anything spooky stories in October
Not this year
R u going to do any more ghost storys in the series
@@thomasbarnett4707 I am
Please stop disrespecting my boy Sir Handel like this. He is *NOTHING* like that.
NEVER
@@NWR58 It's literally exaggerating his character. It's all the same with fan productions like this - Skarloey, Rheneas, Peter Sam and occasionally Rusty are the goody two-shoes who're perfect and can do no wrong while Sir Handel and Duncan, especially Sir Handel, always get the shaft because lord forbid they ever get a break.
@@SegaMario I do it cause it's funny
Why don't you do a episode of alfred and 87546 after they sodor
I'm a surprise with your sir Richmond Hatt 5 The controller of his the railway the sodor Hes gonna find out who's gonna find out who's great-grandfather. He'll be very, very happy Bertram He was name and autumn funniest family melon name.
skarloey and rheneas are not welsh words. they are sudric, which is the old langauge use to be spoken on sodor. they arent even real words??
I should've slapped myself 3 years earlier for forgetting that there was an actual sudric language.
2239th
Are there any character lines I could do for your future videos mate? 😊 @NWR58
Nice
