    The mistake in that fight was you charging that whole 2nd UT. You need to get the ET and then break that vase for the UT.

    The developers deserve a shoutout for making such an in-depth combat and scoring system. This is the ONLY game I’ve played over the years because of their masterful work. Every third person game could be so improved with even half this level of detail in the product. I can only imagine how awesome a spider-man or batman game could be with this much thought built in.

    Great video and breakdown of that one fight. I'm hoping you make more related to this. To me, playing for score is much more skillful and shows a greater understanding of the game other than just beating the game. I know that may sound obvious but I've had a few "discussions" back in the day when people suggested UTing your way through the game is easy and everyone can do it. It does irritate me when people dismiss scoring without ever trying it. To each their own I guess.

    Been following for you a couple years now, and I know I've said it in the past, but you are an absolute god at this game. Your current WR on the Master Ninja Collection is no fluke and well earned. You are THE definitive NG player out there.

    God, this is taking me back in the Delorean quite a ways. Glad to see you're still tearing this game apart like you did at Iberian's NG Realm all those years ago. I don't have the time or the stomach for Karma runs anymore, but yours and Bigalski's vids have got those old urges for 24 million SM and 50 million MM starting to resurface. Hope you've been well JTB.

      Hey DV, long time :) I've been doing well thanks hope you have as well. The forum is still around, just NGrealm.com now. Be good to see you on there!
      Bigal has a series going on right now for getting 50 million so that's definitely worth a watch if you decide to go for it again which obviously I think you should :)

      @@JayTB123 Glad to hear you're doing well. I'll definitely stop by sometime; if for no other reason than to lurk and see if these urges turn into something more tangible. Though I'd have to stop playing Dark Souls first.
      Best wishes, man.

    I really liked that video.
    If you want to go deepen in this you could make videos about how to get Master Ninja Rank in chapters 1, 4 and 6. As I heard those are the most demanding to get that rank, I got stuck in each one of them and still stuck in hard mode at chapter 6....

      should try it all you really need to know to start with is maxing uts and getting time down after you get hang of that and enemy manipulation and timing/attack patterns then you can get more in depth. maybe do a no health run for example and force yourself to start learning the encounters more then maybe do a no health no nimpo run again depriving yourself of certain things will help you learn the enamie new manipulation tools ect.

  • @ag0ny

    this is why I never did a karma run and be only around 14M-ish on MN.
    and because I liked izuna dropping enemies all the time, and that move as awesome as it is it's sloooow.
    now trying the collection, damn i hate Rachel's chapters and the game feels a little laggish on XSX.

    The mistake you were talking about is the time, you did not get in time 2 UTs and 1 ET

    • @JayTB123
      @JayTB123  4 года назад +2

      Sort of but that's more the result of the mistake and not the mistake itself. 2 UT's and an ET is possible in this fight but you have to make better use of the time.

    While I respect every good player who does this cos it takes a lot of effort, I feel like the game should encourage stylish play way more than farming ut-s. this just doesnt look fun at all. Like someone dancing around while controlling ryu perfectly and puling off the coolest combos possible, and the game rewards that guy with a lesser ninja cos he didnt farm ut-s...come on

    TIL I was missing 250k because I didn't manage my devil elixirs for the entire game. Here I was thinking 238kish from Emperor II was already peak performance.
    Neat!
    Wait, essence is influenced by your health!? What?!

    • @JayTB123
      @JayTB123  4 года назад +1

      Bigal was the one who thought up the inazuma strategy on Emp 2, he really changed the game for chapter 15 showing that. About the essence/health are you referring to the fight shown in chapter 4? Enemies tend to drop blues a lot more frequently if your health is low so going into the fight with low health on purpose makes the white commandos more likely to drop blues.

    • @arcengal

      @xBIGALSKIx 4 года назад

      @@arcengal I'm sorry you missed out if you were only watching Captain Tuttle for new NGB strats back in the day. His HP2 vids were awesome though and was one of the best for NG2004. While there were some great players back then, in terms of score, Platinum, Kyoiori, JTB123, and Tatoshka really took it to the next level IIRC.

    • @arcengal
      @arcengal 4 года назад +1

      @@xBIGALSKIx I know mate, I beat Tatoshka's score to have the WR very briefly (22.8m). I wish I still had her videos though, the editing and music choices were so good. That and Kyoiori's free-form stuff. X_x
      Glad to see you're still about.
      Edit: Forgot about Platinum. He was a MONSTER at Mission Mode, good lord.

    • @xBIGALSKIx
      @xBIGALSKIx 4 года назад

      @@arcengal There's been a lot of improvement in the strats in the game since we all started over 15 years ago, especially in the last few years. I thought I was done but NGB being released on the Xbox One sucked me back into it. LOL
      Yeah it really sucks most of those old videos were lost. Definitely some great players back then.
      I hope you've had a chance to watch Kell's NGB videos. I believe he's 3 million ahead of Platinum.
      It's great to see you as well.
