Weird that you’re so soft on the Bears Defense since it was Top 5 last season, it was the only reason they won 7 games & the D improved in the offseason. The OC is light years better, the O-line is both massively improved & healthier, RB1 is now a passing threat on 3rd downs, Caleb was a better passer in 2022 than Fields is right now, the WR corps jumped from bottom 10 to Top 2 & few realize TE1 was Top 5 in the league. What will shock people the most this season is the Bears going from worst to first by winning 5 games in their own division
PAUSE!!!!!!!!!
@@dnice33 I don’t think you know what that means. 😂
@@brandonbaty2291 u talking about soft on the bears D … I definitely know what it means but it’s ABSOLUTELY a pause moment! Bears defense is good I agree. These guys talk like they haven’t watched much of them
We was not top 5 last year get real 💯outside of Jared Goff for 7 quarters this defense feasted on terrible QBs at da end of season till they saw a real one in Jordan love he has 2 tds 0 picks and 84 percent completion rate crazy how yall fan boys forget about that game 💯this defense is opportunistic not elite
@@TTSCAMactually they were the number 1 run defense overall in 2023 according to pro football focus and the 1 overall defense from week 8 on. I do agree that the defense is overrated currently but if the pieces they have take a step forward in year 2 or 3 (depending on the player we are talking about)they should be even better at defense. I would suggest they pick up yannick ngakoue as a one year rental and use next years first on edge rusher and go all defense and o line in the draft.
The Bears are gonna be a tough out. They are my pick to move from a team that missed the playoffs last season to being a wild card team this season. They'll compete for the division and I say that as a Lions fan. They could have, maybe should have, won both games against us last season. I said it last year and I'll say it again, they are the main competition for us moving forward. If not this year, for sure in 2025. Take the over all day long. The North is the toughest division in the NFC in my opinion. It's true black and blue once again.
Respect. As a bears fan I was really rooting for yall in the playoffs. Your fans had it rough for a long time like us so we share that pain. Happy you guys were able to turn it around. Nothing would make me happier than a dominant nfc north. Ngl packers have been carrying our conferences name for a bit. The Vikings are lame, so they can continue to suck.
Let it play out bro
Questioning Bears defense personnel wise, weird run at end of season, not top 10 worthy, etc. Do they realize Bears had the best run defense in the league, tied for most interceptions and were top 5 in takeaways. PFF brushes that all aside because Bears don't have big names that PFF cares for, so the Bears defense probably isn't actually very good. Weird take, the norm for PFF.
They sure looked good in week 18 not forcing one punt huh. Sit down puppy. Hush. Know your place. Stop yapping
You're gonna write my comment off automatically because of my PFP, but you do realize that takeaways are one of the most volatile metrics in the NFL and are not very predictive of future success. In fact, when a defense does very well but they had a lot of takeaways, that is a telltale sign of regression.
@@Captainkebbles1392 pretty sure they had some of their best defenders out of that game and still held the Packers to 17 points.. stop yapping like you know something
@@paulkaehn6203 Points allowed and takeaways are the two most important defensive statistics/categories. Chicagos schedule this year is better than last years.. the QBs they face this season paired with a better offense is going to be beneficial to taking the ball away at a high rate again. Not to mention that most of their starters are all coming back in the same defensive scheme with just a few slight improvements.
This is and will be a top 10 defense. And if they stay mainly healthy, top 10 is the floor. Like Keenan Allen said, they look like a top 5 defense.
9-10 wins this year
I know what you mean Steve but that defense is lowkey stacked. JJ AP CB, Brisker + safety, Byard TBD but possible +, Stephenson came on strong to end the year, Gordon was a top 5 slot corner when healthy, Edmunds +, Edwards +, Sweat Probowler, Decent to very good chance 8/11 positions have a plus player or better and all but one is returning. Defense could be really good. I think give them Edmunds, Edwards, JJ, Brisker, Gordon, Sweat as guys we should expect to be above average starters or better and then Byard, Stevenson, Dexter, maybe a surprise like Booker contributing year 1 between those 3+ whats the over under on + starters, 1.5? OVER. The guys that underachieve probably still roughly replacement level given Stevenson and Dexter were that good last year. How many defenses have that many above average or better starters? There's a 2nd rd pick, there's a 2nd rd pick, there's a 2nd rd pick!!!!...
Over 8.5! 🐻⬇️
I know it meant bear down but it looked like you were saying they would go under 8.5 lmao
If you’ve watched so this team’s games last year you would know that this years defense is going to be better than last.
It takes time for players to learn how to play well together. More than half the starters were new to the team last year, and because of that the first 1/4th of the season (which they went 0-4), the defense gave up 34.25 ppg which ranked 31/32 at the time. A huge part of the reason they won 7 games was because the defense was consistently holding opponents under 20 ppg later in the year.
Now that the defense has had more time to play together and bond, next year should be just as good or better. Especially since we’re not losing any of the starters except bojack (but our replacement with probably be better)
12-5
11 and 7
Hard to predict - best case is the defense plays well and Williams has a Stroud like year thats 12-5. Worst case is Williams busts, the Oline and Dline are both bad / injured, the defense regresses and Flus is fired end of year thats like 6 - 11. I think 9 wins is a good guess
10 wins
Any team (the Bears) could make it to the Super Bowl with the #1 rated defense. Imagine if that team also had potentially a top 5 offense? Smells like a championship to me.
Smells like hallucinogens to me
@@ttaylor758ur all over this.. must be a fuckin lions or packers fan. Nervous huh
Nothing screams top 10 defense like a totally stacked back 7 and a top 5 edge.
Wait, what…
I’m a Bears fan who still has reservations about the defense. The run last year was against some really bad QBs and they had insane turnover production. The DBs and LBs are good but I just don’t think you get anywhere without a DL. Even if Sweat is healthy and Dexter makes the jump, it’s still not enough.
They say 3rd easiest schedule. But we are in one of the 2 hardest divisions and they stacked all of our division games in the last half of the year. Idk who got drunk making schedules but they need talked to. At least split up the divisional games a little so we can see the teams get a chance to gameplan.
Most takeaways in the league last year. The defense is arguably the stronger side of the bears team. Couple seasons under the same game plan together along with how they played the end of the year last year. It’s gonna be rough for a qb to go up against.
It really all boils down to line play. Everything behind the lines is legit studs. Center and D end opposite Sweat. Some vets need to show up, some kids need to progress.
That will be a tough division
CMC is #1 RB by a good margin and you can’t forget about Jauan Jennings who is a great blocker and can make plays as a #3 receiver
How do you guys look at the stats and see statistically that the defense was top 10 in every major category and deny it. You’re defeating the purpose of your own show. Discrediting yourselves over flashy names or unfamiliarity? Terrible.
The Bears schedule is easier in H1 of the season which is great for Caleb to acclimate to the game speed. If they hit their stride by H2, they could win 11/12 games. If they start 2-5, it’s not going to be good. We might win 5-6 games if that happens. They need to start the season like 6-2
U/O is about right - 8 or 9 wins tops
If the Titans put it all together they can be a damn good team
10-7
10-7 that's a few wins we could have won last year bud didn't. Plus one extra from offensive upgrades.
11 wins
Will be improved but can't look pass Lions and Packers
I got them going 9-8
As a Bears fan for 40 years, I get it. I want to believe but there's so little trust. Poles seems great. So that helps. But I look at this team and could see 13-4 if Caleb is awesome and the D is healthy. Or it all goes to hell and they're 5-12 or something.
Bears go 12-5 minimum, they easily could of gone 11-6 last year and they matured and improved significantly.. f it they’re winning the Super Bowl
9 games
Of course their defense will be top 10. Did you not see them after they picked up sweat?
9 or 10
They do realize this team won 7 games last year right?
7-8 wins
Lol he said the defense is not impressive and just named a loaded defense lmfaoooo
Hammer that over, Bears will win ten games or more.
the only teams bears face in the top 10 defense discussion is 49erss & chiefs, maybe lions... Even if you consider all those games Ls, thats still 12 wins. Even if we lose to green bay twice thats 10 wins. Realistically we aren't losing all the aforementioned games & the other defences couldnt stop jusin fields so explain how they are going to stop a loaded bears team? or just stay delusional and watch yourself
How utterly pointless. Like pissing into the wind.
🤓
Easiest under of my life
Since Bear fans like Madden so much, my Son just beat the Bears 42-3 on Madden 😂
Yea on rookie
Bears will sweep the NFC North. Poles will finally be a king😊
Hope your employer doesn’t drug test
Poles is my employer😂
They only won 6 games in 2024
*7
🤨🤨🤨
7
They won 7 dumbass and literally blew the lead on 3 games due to coaching
14-3
THEY LED THE NFL IN INTERCEPTION LAST SEASON AND ENDED THE YEAR AS A TOP 5 DEFENSE OMG THIS GUY IS A ABSOLUTE MORONNNNNN!!!!! 😂😂😂😂😂😂
