Well done.. African daughter of The soil its a pleasure to have met you on our journey together😊Welcome to Our African Story... We are glad you met the Great Rhino. Baba Credo Mutwa.. Last of 10 Sharmans..hmm well done.
The old lady walking in slow motion as the music played, that moved me. Her pride and poise in old age, her wrinkles telling us so many things we need to know, her smile. Reminds me of my Kenyan grandmother. This was not only a beautiful video, it was powerful in so many different ways. We can learn so much from our elders. Can we talk about how beautiful the lady in the Ankara headwrap and dangling earrings is!!!
Definitely enjoyed this! These oral histories/ primary source records are so important. You have documented for students and researchers the dietary, women’s reproductive health and folklore of this community. Grandmother has the sweetest smile ever!
Living life without all the modern conveniences has given them a long life. Watching madame walking, her strength and such a warm sweet spirit. My great grandmother said everything that we need for sickness can be found in nature. Loved this content.
There's older woman in Ghana, saw Dr Kwame NKRUMAH first Ghana president when he was in mother's womb, this old woman still alive, Guinness world book must record this wonderful woman
Thank you! They told us that the eldest people would be found in capecoast. There’s many very elderly people here living very well with their families and have amazing memories.
These people look like they are above 75 years. They most likely saw Kwame Nkrumah as Kwame became president in the 60s, when these guys were in their teens.
Shalum and greetings to you both. Thank you for this video. The Mother(Amah) is so beautiful!! She brought tears to my eyes 😢. So blessed to yet be alive.
God bless you both and your journey to success. You have been a blessing to a lot of people. You just don't know. People who have lost their true identity from Africa. People who wondered what Africa was like, wondered what their homeland was like. Wondered how their Ancestors survived in West Africa, the West Coast along Africa, to be precise. Thank you for letting us see a little taste of our past. Thank you so much. you will definitely go as far, as far as the good Lord takes you😊
Wow! I’m mesmerized. Thank you for giving us this gem. One day it may become a source of education for our children in schools. I see ES has also dressed in a traditional way. In Zimbabwe the elderly will give you respect too.
Beautiful and moving video. The elders are indeed seeds of the strongest of the strongest. I love hearing stories of elders, they have much to tell. Thx DIY for venturing out and sharing with us.🙏🏾💜
ES I had to comment on this beautiful video. Loving how you all made the time to get their stories. How caring of you and your husband and the others for their contribution in making this happen. Thanks for sharing ❤
Can you pass me a tissue, please? Thank you for bringing me along to chat with the elders. It's been such a blessing and the experience will have a really positive impact on multitudes. It's definitely a memory that will stick with forever. Seriously, seeing and hearing from the elders is beyond awesome!
In today's western world people value being young, and use all sorts of potions and surgeries to hold on to what age naturally takes away. In these older and wiser civilizations the light and peace that radiates from these elders can be felt across time and space as it radiates through this RUclips video. The smile and the dignity which these elders have can not be purchased or borrowed, they are qualities that they have earned through a life well lived. Thank you so much for this video, which has so touched my heart. Blessing to you all.
Wow! The Elders are beautiful inside and out. They have so many stories we younger ones can learn from. Thanks so much for sharing! Look forward to more videos like this ❤🙏🏾
Please know that I really appreciated your sharing. The conversations and the Elders willingness to tell their stories was very interesting. GOD BLESS Your journeys❤🙏🏾

Hello, DY House &Farm Truly your efforts are like a beacon, guiding us back to the roots of our traditions, where ancient knowledge meets modern living and in my case healing too. These elders just like the ones in my area are reminding us that our past is our most powerful teacher. The path you've carved, inspires me.
✨🌞✨Hey Sis & BIL. Thank you so much for this capture of all this rich history & firsthand wisdom. It’s such a beautiful blessing for those of us in the West. I’m full. Hugs & much love.✨🌞✨
That was so informative. They really respect their elders. That's why they live long. In America, they stick their elders in a nursing home. I learned so much. Thank you and your husband for another great video.
This lady is definitely over one hundred years old. My grandma pass away at 102 years. My great great grandma pass away at 105 years. They were not sick when they pass. They went to bed and did not wake up.
I love this our elders are libraries they're the best history teachers. My grandparents and great aunts and uncles shared there story and life lessons. Now that I'm older I understand.

The first medical school in Ghana opened its doors in 1962 . Prior to this my mother tells me that medical care was provided by missionaries who established hospitals and clinics the doctors were the white missionaries and most Ghanaian medical staff were nurses . In Nigeria the first medical school opened in 1948 .There were very few hospital and clinics so most rural people used native methods except in serious illness then they would d try to transport the person to the nearest hospital.
I loved the way the old people explained it.its high time we need to keep this stories for the future. Was carried in my mind to these story rewinded my mind as if am in psychological movie. Guys I love the way you capture the whole story. To the questions my sister asked all we audience needed the answer
First let me say, thank you!! I think you have a beautiful home & family. I normally watch everything I can find on “supernatural” things. Ghosts, aliens, bigfoot etc… I found your page about 3 or 4 days ago & I watched soo many of your videos & I Love love love what you guys are doing there!! I thought I was going to have to wait for a long time to see this video. I found myself sitting here smiling while you were interviewing those beautiful people. They live so simple & they are soo happy. The elder lady (I’m sorry I don’t know her name) as she was talking she just seemed like she was soo happy, happy to talk about her self, her way of life. And how they can sit on the floor, not a soft cushiony sofa & not complain about how hard the floor is or what they don’t have, but they seem to just be grateful for what they have & to be alive! When I heard you tell about how you were, in your younger years, learning everything about aliens, I felt like you were talking about me lol. I am the same as you. I found your video after saying “I’m going to stop obsessing over this stuff , & then I found you. I felt drawn in. There are so many things that makes sense & a lot that does not when I hear what the hunters said about them. For many many many years I have wanted to know about this & I would love to be where you are now. Ok, I’ll stop talking now lol I just felt like I needed to tell you that I love what yall are doing & thank you for doing this. Much love to you all💞
ES and Vinman, l enjoy all of your videos, but this one l especially enjoyed because of the wonderful people you introduced to us. I was intrigued with the stories of the Timbum sp? From their perspective, and while l appreciate the work you put into the videos, l had a thought. Would it have been to much to ask if they could have sketched or make a rendering of the Timbum to at least have a clearer idea of its likeness? As always keep up the excellent work you do on the farm, and the videos. All the best to you and your husband. 🙏🏾
i am enjoying your site. t is very interesting to know things of our ancestors. i was born in th Carribean but my roots are in Africa. Succes with your site and keep informing us about African history.
