  • Now entering its fifth-generation and awaiting an all-electric powertrain expected in 2024, this redesigned model eschews supercharged power in favor of a twin-turbo V8 and elevates the seating experience to new heights. But the jaw-dropping price tag comes with utmost expectations, some of which fail to be met.
    MSRP as-tested: $169,900

    I really enjoy your reviews, you put emphasis on the technical issues that most of us are interested in such as the tablet being too hot and you can hear the fan blow to cool and the 2nd row bench seats are so fully padded it doesn't fold flat like it should. Thank you for your honesty

  • @healthyamerican
    @healthyamerican Год назад

    theres only so much "luxury" a car can have. leather and wood trim has been in every car for decades. so they have no reason to keep raising the price. the people who buy this car will always regret it. this vehicle should be $80k and no more

  • @Trades46

    It's a beautiful design inside and out. I like the purity of design here - there's not too much weird shapes and angles, but a very clean look.
    That said, the fact is this is still the least reliable new car money can buy, maybe with the exception of the Model X.

    For some reason, I can picture an (uninformed) police pulling this over one day for “having illegally tinted taillights”… even though there are red reflectors on the bottom (making it 100% legal)

    The reason they have two antennas on the back is due to signal disruption from the large panoramic sunroof... instread of figuring out how to make one work, they just slapped two on the roof. And it looks stupid.

    Your review has some contradictions, if the car drives as good as Rolls Royce "it's that good" as you said, then why do you believe the cost is high? It's much cheaper than RR

    $170k plus tax means around $200k and in 10 years will be hard to get $20k for it. range rovers already have the worst reliability and highest repair and maintenance costs. now add all wheel steering, front drive disconnect, and hidden powered door handles, and you increase unreliability and repair costs by leaps and bounds. yet the prices keep going up? no thanks

    BMW has never owned Land Rover or JLR. Ford sold JLR to Tata Motors. RR is not classically styled enough.

    • @stevehammes
      @stevehammes  Год назад +1

      I was a senior in college when BMW aquired Land Rover...1994. It was short lived and then Ford took over around 2000 as part of the old PAG. And the interior of this RR looks almost exactly like every RR before it so it is indeed classically styled in the cabin.
