Was in Moseley with Dave Atkinson last week for the record fair - had a nice Sunday lunch too - was good to see it sober as normally there after a few beers 🍺

I grew up as a boy in Moseley and remember playing football and cricket with Birmingham 6th Boys brigade company from Kings Heath ( Anyone remember the great late Ken Bushell ? ) at the then Moseley Rugby ground and that one day the great West Indies and Warwickshire cricket bowler Lance Gibbs came along to give us some tips and that he was a gentleman and that my Dad gave him a lift home afterwards .
I also used to go as a young boy to WH Smith in Moseley to buy my football cards with bubblegum in them and that some were of football players of the late 60’s and some had the football club badges which I particularly enjoyed collecting and swapping with my mates .
I live in Kent now but have such wonderful memories of growing up in Moseley , Birmingham ,opposite Highbury Park which was like heaven for a child to grow up opposite having as an adventure playground .
Those were the good old days !

Think you are talking about the Private Park at back of Salisbury road. It used to be a £1.00 a year if you backed onto the park. I used the WH Smiths for years and years.
