Honestly, this is the first DMC I’ve ever played because I never heard of Devil May Cry before I played this game 5 years ago. I played the original ones years ago and I love them. I like this game too.
God dang the Bob Barbas fight was amazing. The design was cool and unique, and the parts where he pulled Dante into the TV while reported on what was happening was nice.

This game had great visuals, great combat sistem, an amazing soundtrack and a great selection of enemies/bosses and no one can take that merit from it.
Yeah the game is good, but the character on the other hand is Bad as in it make DMC 2 look great (for me) in term of Dante character. The gameplay and boss on the other hand very good

This game has brilliant effects and art-style, definitely unique in it's approach. I love it, it was not as depth in controls, but it was still a good game over all and a good modern attempt in the DMC history. Dante and Vergil to me were very likeable and I did enjoy his devleopment and what he looked like. The previous concept of him was horrible but they polished him well in the end and the whole conspiracy level with the demons in the unseen, they just mirrored the reality what we are living in. Mass media-mind controlling, food and drink gmo, etc, they new their shit to put in.
i liked the story in this game. gameplay was good too. but gameplay didnt feel like a dmc game. so i always say,it was a good game. just not a good dmc game.

Not to mention the worst part of the game (worse than no lock-on), fucking colour-coded enemies where you Actually cannot do mad combos

DanteLeon DMC/Resi Dmc is what other devil may cry should have been. It has better graphics, music, sound effects and a real story. Its even more enjoyable and not boring like the other 4.
When you say "screams" do you mean yells in scripted dialogue? Because his actual battle shout voice clips are some of the best I've heard in an action game tbh.

Well in terms of dialogue, i wouldn't say it's amazing. I think its very cheap like you would hear it in a netflix show, the original dmc games had more anime like dialogue.
1. Nah, not as flashy as DMC3 and 4's combat, feels clunky sometimes but overall not bad, just not as good as OG DMC3 and 4. Also lacks a fùcking lock-on button 2. Great soundtrack, no other comment there 3. Absolutely garbage dialogue, like im watching some edgy teen's school project 4. Average plot, teen saves whole planet by killing demon king, almost kills brother cuz his brother wants to protect and rule humans. 5. Good bossfights, terrible final boss fight. Vergil here the EASIEST BOSS in the entire game. Its like fighting Vergil in easy mode on DMC3. Not really a triple A game, could've been better tbh, but this is as far as it gets.
1. Weaker than most entries from the original series, but in isolation, yeah it is pretty good; better than most Western hacknslashes anyway. 2. Sure, no complaints on that front. 3. Yeah no, the dialogue is kinda attrocious, particularly in the extra dryhard edgy vanilla version of the game and I mean it fits for the characters, if making them insufferable is supposed to be the point. 4. Nooooo... The story is a weirdly mean spirited yet hammy attempt at extremely shallow social commentary, that takes itself way too seriously for how cartoonish and hammy it ultimately is. Especially when it comes to the main villain, who is borderline impossible to take seriously as a legitimate threat. 5. Heavily debatable. For my money, the intro bossfigth is whatever, the three midgame bossfights are ok, the penultimate bossfight is awful and the final boss is good, though hard to say how much that would amount to, when it's directly based on another far superior boss from the original series. So yeah, it's not bad, I'd say it's solid B tier as action games go (atleast if we're talking about the significantly improved rerelease), but wouldn't personally say it's "up there".

This game grew on me , I played the demo and the full game was great . At first the change they went with didn’t sit well with me (as it also didn’t with the majority of the dmc fanbase) but I realized that if this is your first dmc experience then it was an awesome one . For the rest that have played the previous titles we felt disappointed but I you can’t front the game was good . I also felt like a hypocrite because I rarely played any castlevania game ( just SC4 and SOTN ) and it just so happens that my favorite castlevania’s are LOS 1&2 , those games are hated by many CV fans but they are my favs for the same reason newcomers to dmc like this rebooted version .
I don't understand what problems people who say this game is bad have. Seriously, I love this game, I even liked it more than DMC 5 (Personal Taste). This is an excellent chapter of the series, whether it is a Spin-off or Reboot, it doesn't matter, the important thing is that it is a fun and well-done game... And this is a great game in my opinion.
The fight against succubus reminded me of an episode of Futurama, where they were going to visit a beverage factory and the person who produced them was a fat Alien through a liquid that came out of her butt, the same context of the fight in this game

I wish they could’ve added more bosses like Griffon, Nightmare, Nelo Angelo (reboot version of Nelo Angelo but it’s not Vergil), Arius (Mundus’ business partner), Cerberus, Nevan, and many more.
Do people not like this game?? Why?! It seems fucking amazing! It's gore filled, gorgeous graphics and what's awesome is the jokes aren't cringy. They fit in so well! Every actor played their voice overs beautifully, I felt the angry and frustration in every character. And i ABSOLUTELY love the soundtracks!
1. Dante character. We always have this stylish chariot thing, in the original saga he is sarcastic, smart, polite...everything this character isn´t. 2.Vergil character. In dmc3 we see a samurai warrior, seeking power yet not lacking honor...in this game he shots someone in the back, that is just not vergil. 3.The combat. No lock on function and colour based enemy-weapon makes combat slower and restrains your freedom to use whatever you want. In the original saga this never happened. 4.The plot. We can see something similar to dmc1, but the point is that vergil´s betreyal was supose to be a plot twist...of course we saw it coming, plus, vergil actually has a point on what he is saying. 5. some shadows, animations, such as the spray painthing...looks almost like ps2. 6. Dialogue. Well, here is a comparison: dmc3: We are the sons of Sparda, within each of us flows his blood, but more importanly, his soul. DmC:...Yeah, but i´ve got a bigger dick... 7. Some plot holes.

Color based weapon-enemies slows combo down, that´s what the gameplay is about. 2. no lock on, no chance to kill the enemy you want, you have to let the game decide. 3. silly and ynnecessary dialog(but my dick is bigger) really? did we really change an honorable demon samurai for a guy that shoots enemies in the back? 4. this dante has nothing to do with what we knew, he is disrespectful, vulgar, childish. Well in terms of dialogue, i wouldn't say it's amazing. I think its very cheap like you would hear it in a netflix show, the original dmc games had more anime like dialogue.
1. Nah, not as flashy as DMC3 and 4's combat, feels clunky sometimes but overall not bad, just not as good as OG DMC3 and 4. Also lacks a fùcking lock-on button
2. Great soundtrack, no other comment there
3. Absolutely garbage dialogue, like im watching some edgy teen's school project
4. Average plot, teen saves whole planet by killing demon king, almost kills brother cuz his brother wants to protect and rule humans.
5. Good bossfights, terrible final boss fight. Vergil here the EASIEST BOSS in the entire game. Its like fighting Vergil in easy mode on DMC3.
Not really a triple A game, could've been better tbh, but this is as far as it gets.
1. Weaker than most entries from the original series, but in isolation, yeah it is pretty good; better than most Western hacknslashes anyway.
2. Sure, no complaints on that front.
3. Yeah no, the dialogue is kinda attrocious, particularly in the extra dryhard edgy vanilla version of the game and I mean it fits for the characters, if making them insufferable is supposed to be the point.
4. Nooooo... The story is a weirdly mean spirited yet hammy attempt at extremely shallow social commentary, that takes itself way too seriously for how cartoonish and hammy it ultimately is. Especially when it comes to the main villain, who is borderline impossible to take seriously as a legitimate threat.
5. Heavily debatable. For my money, the intro bossfigth is whatever, the three midgame bossfights are ok, the penultimate bossfight is awful and the final boss is good, though hard to say how much that would amount to, when it's directly based on another far superior boss from the original series.
So yeah, it's not bad, I'd say it's solid B tier as action games go (atleast if we're talking about the significantly improved rerelease), but wouldn't personally say it's "up there".

This game grew on me , I played the demo and the full game was great . At first the change they went with didn’t sit well with me (as it also didn’t with the majority of the dmc fanbase) but I realized that if this is your first dmc experience then it was an awesome one . For the rest that have played the previous titles we felt disappointed but I you can’t front the game was good . I also felt like a hypocrite because I rarely played any castlevania game ( just SC4 and SOTN ) and it just so happens that my favorite castlevania’s are LOS 1&2 , those games are hated by many CV fans but they are my favs for the same reason newcomers to dmc like this rebooted version .

I absolutely loved the art style and music, especially Lilith's club.
I don't understand what problems people who say this game is bad have. Seriously, I love this game, I even liked it more than DMC 5 (Personal Taste). This is an excellent chapter of the series, whether it is a Spin-off or Reboot, it doesn't matter, the important thing is that it is a fun and well-done game... And this is a great game in my opinion.

Do people not like this game?? Why?! It seems fucking amazing! It's gore filled, gorgeous graphics and what's awesome is the jokes aren't cringy. They fit in so well! Every actor played their voice overs beautifully, I felt the angry and frustration in every character. And i ABSOLUTELY love the soundtracks!
1. Dante character. We always have this stylish chariot thing, in the original saga he is sarcastic, smart, polite...everything this character isn´t.
2.Vergil character. In dmc3 we see a samurai warrior, seeking power yet not lacking honor...in this game he shots someone in the back, that is just not vergil.
3.The combat. No lock on function and colour based enemy-weapon makes combat slower and restrains your freedom to use whatever you want. In the original saga this never happened.
4.The plot. We can see something similar to dmc1, but the point is that vergil´s betreyal was supose to be a plot twist...of course we saw it coming, plus, vergil actually has a point on what he is saying.
5. some shadows, animations, such as the spray painthing...looks almost like ps2.
6. Dialogue. Well, here is a comparison: dmc3: We are the sons of Sparda, within each of us flows his blood, but more importanly, his soul. DmC:...Yeah, but i´ve got a bigger dick...
7. Some plot holes.

1. Color based weapon-enemies slows combo down, that´s what the gameplay is about.
2. no lock on, no chance to kill the enemy you want, you have to let the game decide.
