Was there 2023 and going back next month 🥰🥰 loved it so much. And youre right! Save the money from Tulum. Not worth it too busy there. And your dog is toooo cute 🥰
Thanks so much, y'all! I wish we could take credit for those drone shots, but this time those aren't ours. We aren't legally allowed to fly it in Mexico so we had to snag these shots for a stock website. :/
Bacalar, often referred to as the "Lagoon of Seven Colors," is a hidden gem in Mexico's Quintana Roo state. Known for its stunning, crystal-clear waters in varying shades of blue and turquoise, Bacalar offers a tranquil and idyllic escape. The town's charming streets are lined with colorful buildings, and the historic San Felipe Fort provides a glimpse into its colonial past. It's a paradise for nature enthusiasts, with opportunities for kayaking, snorkeling, and exploring the cenotes and cenote Azul. Bacalar's serene beauty and relaxed atmosphere make it a perfect destination for those seeking a more peaceful alternative to the bustling tourist hubs on the nearby Riviera Maya. Thanks, Chris and Sara!
We did a tour with the same tour group but in a pontoon boat. Great guide! Bacalar is stunningly gorgeous the water is so refreshing, it was excellente!
Thanks for taking us to Bacalar with you! ☺️ We’re really excited to visit this area! Kramer did a great job swimming 🙌 We really enjoy exploring the Pueblo Mágicos. We’ve hit quite a few of them on our trip. Did you end up seeing any crocs? 🐊
Y'all are going to LOVE it! We kept saying how perfect Bacalar would be in a van!! And no, we never saw any crocs. :) We've heard they're not often seen, but still be careful. We never swam in deep water or near the shores where there were lots of plants that crowded the visibility. :)
Crazy how this is in Mexico! The water is so blue, especially for being fresh water and not salt water. Not sure whether Kramer or Chris’s shirt was the best part of the video! 😂
Hi there! We stayed at Hotel Circulo Bacalar and had a great experience. We got the room for just under $100/night which is high for Mexico, but not that high for Bacalar. It was a dog friendly hotel (which we needed) and was one of the less expensive hotels that had AC in the rooms which was really nice. The rate also included breakfast. Here's the Google link to the hotel: goo.gl/maps/Z2vxhCuNQYwHeWUw9 It is a small hotel so you'll probably need to book in advance. Hope this helps and have fun! Bacalar is amazing. :)
Great video, beautiful place. Bacalar will be like Tulum in a few years. On cloudy and rainy days, the lagoon does not look so spectacular, it's worth checking the weather in advance. One of the frustrating things about the lagoon is the jet skis. Worst kayakers in the world. You almost killed yourselves with those paddles, lack of synchronization.😂🚣♀

Any place that always dog is a huge plus in my books!
Us too!
This is my kind of travel. Give me a peaceful spot to enjoy the sounds of nature.
Bacalar is incredible. Highly recommend a visit here! This town single handedly made us fall in love with the Yucatán.
Bacalar looks like our kinda place! Stunning drone shots too! Kramer was like a toddler needing his mom & dad….so cute. Great video guys! ~Cara 😊

I was trying to decide on a video to watch. I had never seen your channel before. Dog being in the title sealed the deal. Subscribed! Great video!
LOL. He's the true star of the show. Thanks for subbing Melissa!

What a beautiful place. And the water…wow! The silence is wonderful. Please thank Kramer for the comic relief. He’s so funny. Thank you.

It's my shirt hands down.
Looks great. Almost unreal how blue those waters are! The tour you took: what was the name of the company?
Beautiful place, great video!
Thank you!
The true Yucatán paradise!
Thanks for the video. What was the name of the boat tour you took?
WOW, BeAuTiFuL :)
Oh wow, that's GORGEOUS! How did y'all find out about it?
BTW, hi neighbor! I'm a Dalton native and still live there.
Hi neighbor! :)
We found out about Bacalar from some friends who recently visited. Highly recommend!
Which tour was this with?
We found it through Airbnb experience. We have more info about it here: www.chrisandsara.com/post/bacalar-mexico-lagoon
How long in Bacalar is enough for a vacation? 3-4 days 6-7?
3 days is just about right!
@@chrisandsara I was there 5 days
Stunning area
What airline did you use to fly with your dog ?
We flew Delta!
Kramer is like what are you doing to me humans!
Hi! Do you have any hotel recommendations near town center? Going there end of July. I like your videos.

I highly recommend rash guards.
Chris are you reading this comment
I've bought 2 pairs since this trip lol
Is hiring a tour the only way to get out into the water?
Did you guys switch up the picture profile or get a new camera? The video looks super vintage. It’s kinda cool tbh
We’ve been playing with a ton of different picture profiles and coloring. Still trying to get the hang of it!
Sun shirts are totally acceptable, Invest in some
We plan to! We generally avoid the sun in the middle of the day and we couldn't find any available in Bacalar. 😅
10/10 for the Pink Panther Shirt. -1/10 paired with the shorts
Can't wear sunscreen but those sailboat motors are allowed to leak gas into there all day. 🧐
😬

😂 Chris is definitely the better kayaker. I let him do most of the paddling. lol
