Yeah, the movie's pretty accessible. Old episodes of the show may be tougher with all the music video commentary as a lot of that relies more on the culture of the time. With the movie the only things you really miss are a few references to the show, like Cornholio.
Beavis and Butt-Head is such a 90s thing. They were one of the big animated properties to come out the era that made parents shit themselves in outrage. They were created by Mike Judge, who also did Office Space, which you reacted to last year. Judge himself did most of the voices. He also did King of the Hill, in fact he uses pretty much the same voice for Hank Hill that he did with Tom Anderson it B&B. Beavis and Butt-Head are high schoolers. Muddy is voiced by Bruce Willis, and Dallas is played by his then-wife Demi Moore. They were one of the big Hollywood power couples of the 90s, before splitting around 2000. The original animated series would periodically break from the story of the episode (either one full-length episode, or two shorts) to show Beavis and Butt-Head watching and commenting on music videos. They weren't the FIRST "reactors," with Mystery Science Theater preceding them (Elvira also often riffed on the movies she watched, predating even MST3K). Later revivals of the show in the 2010s and the 2020s also started adding reactions to programs like Jersey Shore. The acid trip sequence is sort of a nod to this. The song itself is by White Zombie, and the animation is based on the art style frequently used on their album artwork. Yes, Hooters = Boobs. Welcome to Beavis and Butt-Head: One big trail of chaos from start to finish. There was another film released recently called Beavis and Butt-Head Do The Universe, which is a combination sequel and reboot to set up the 2020s series. If you liked this one you'll absolutely enjoy the second, as it's much the same sort of humor.
8:25 The ATF agent (Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms, but we call it BAFTE now for Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives) is voiced by Robert Stack, who I think hosted America's Most Wanted.
Before the internet B&B introduced me to more awesome bands than any other source, that show was not only hilarious it was socially relevant on multiple levels, Mike Judge rules.
My favorite stuff will always be the snarky commentary over music videos in the old tv show episodes, but I think the movie holds up pretty well even if you haven't seen anything prior.
Dasha, I want to say thank you for being the way you are. Today is the one year anniversary of my beloved cat's death. I've been utterly heartbroken for days. I turned on RUclips and watched this video. Your laughter alone was uplifting to my spirit in ways I can't describe.
16:20 "I'm thinking after we score, we can go see Hole!" Hole is a band fronted by vocalist and guitarist Courtney Love, who at one time was married to the late Kurt Cobain, frontman for Nirvana. Bands like these were symbolic of the 1990s "Grunge" rock scene, primarily based out of Seattle, Washington. I never really got Hole, Nirvana or the grunge scene in particular, not until much later after a lot of these bands lost members due to one tragedy after another. But I did see something in bands like Alice In Chains and Silverchair and Collective Soul, they weren't bad at the time.
Lol...and poor Dasha was afraid she wouldn't understand some things...but EVERYBODY understands stupid. And Beavis and Butthead and the Crown Princes of Stupid. Great reaction, Ms Dasha.
This was an after dark cartoon on MTV it was popular so they made a movie. Simular to *South Park* is an after dark cartoon on Comedy Central & they also made a movie
I remember being about 10-years-old and quietly watching Beavis & Butt-Head cartoons on MTV, really late at night in my bedroom, just hoping my parents wouldn’t come in a bust me watching it. 😆
My older brother showed this to me when I was only four. Later when we went to Niagara falls I asked the tour guide "is this a god dam?" And then I screamed laughter well everybody else was looking at little ol me😂😂😂.
I noticed a voice. One of the ATF agents was voiced by the host of Unsolved Mysteries Robert Stack, who was in The Transformers The movie from 1986. I remember watching the first episode of King of the Hill and thinking Hank Hill sounded just like Anderson from Beavis and Butthead. Both characters are voiced by Mike Judge who created both shows. The dream at the beginning of the movie seems to be based on King Kong vs Godzilla.
So many insightful comments in your reactions to the more dramatic movies you show. Such cute and LOL funny comments here, but they still display your wonderful understanding of the world and human nature. You rock! ✌❤
Dasha, you mentioned how "soothing" the blonde chick Dallas' voice is.. And I totally agree with you, it definitely is.. I have always found that particular voice to be pleasant to the ears.. And, personally, I have always found the rest of her pleasant to the eyes as well..The soothing voice of Dallas Grimes you are hearing is portrayed by the beautiful Demi Moore. On the channel, Dash, you probably will remember her best as Molly, Sam Wheat (Patrick Swayze)'s girlfriend that he is trying to protect & Whoopi Goldberg is trying to convince in the movie 'Ghost'.. At the time of filming this in 1996, she was still married to Bruce Willis (of 'Die Hard' fame) & if you listen closely when that guy Muddy talks to Beavis & Butt-head, you will notice he is being voiced by Bruce in this film. In the film, Muddy & Dallas are also married, albeit in an estranged, deceitful one, lol.. I always loved how this movie uses Demi & Bruce as the married couple. They were a great power couple IRL & wanted to work together.. Demi's beauty, even to this day, has always captivated me.. And as you alluded to, Dasha, even in this film, as a blonde animated character & using only her real voice, she STILL manages to captivate.. ❤✌🏻

I remember your reaction to the movie Office Space... Beavis and Butt-Head was made by the same creator of that movie (Mike Judge, who appeared in Office Space as Jennifer Aniston's boss who complained that she wasn't wearing enough "pieces of flair)

_Beavis & Butt-Head_ was an *extremely* popular cartoon in the 90s because they were teenagers who spent all day watching TV and trying to get laid; Gen X kids could relate. It was actually a smart satire on American culture. But because the characters were so stupid and had a penchant for destructive mischief, they became very controversial (after the Cold War ended, America had trouble finding new problems to politicize), especially because Beavis was a pyromaniac who often chanted "Fire! Fire!" In Seasons1 & 2, they often got high on glue and paint thinner. By 1997, it was so popular that the movie got made. Also, your thumbnail was funny. I don't know why people are giving you crap about it.
Dasha's reactions are great regardless of her thumbnails. And cinebinge's reactions are great in spite of their off-putting thumbnails. Anyone who is bothered by the fact that Dasha's thumbnail looks similar to someone else's needs to get a life. Do you come here to watch reaction videos or look at thumbnails? The funniest part was her saying she might not get all the jokes because of cultural differences, and then she got basically everything because Beavis and Butthead transcend cultural divides. The only jokes that seem to be missed were Beavis saying that after they score they should go see Hole, which was a band from Seattle, Washington. Washington state is on the opposite side of the country from Washington D.C. (the capitol, but not technically a state) - he basically had no idea where they were going in the country or that there were two Washingtons. The other one was Butt-Head getting punched by a teenage Chelsea Clinton, who was the president's daughter. It's not so much of a joke as it was really edgy at the time to portray the president's 16 year old daughter (Beavis and Butt-Head are 15) in one of the crudest, most divisive shows at the time. To be fair, I don't think most American reactors under the age of 30 would have gotten either of those jokes either.

Beavis and Butthead were doing reactions before the internet.
If you're familiar with the show, you'd know how important TV is to them.
I love that she thought the jokes might be over her head! LOL!
Hands down the creepiest thumbnail of Dasha ever😂😂😂❤
agreed. it is terrifying.
I panicked a little until I realized what I was looking at.
