I have no idea why youtube recommended this to me but im glad it did. Absolutely love this. Is this intended for use in a music album? Sorry if its a dumb question
Haha thanks! I'm glad it recommended it to you too. Not a dumb question - this is a sound bank for people that own this particular plug-in - basically a synthesizer on you computer. I designed 40 different sounds for this pack, so if they buy it they can load those presets into their synth. But I try to make the art and demo enjoyable too, so glad you like it!
This sounds great! If you're able, hope to see a version for U-He Repro5 although I have V3 I think (definitely V5). I bought a dedicated usb Prophet 5 controller by Sound-force so these will be fun to start with :)
Yes, definitely a Repro-5 bank coming. The "Prophet-5 V" is the newer Arturia plug-in based on the Rev 1 & 2 prophet-5's which were SSM based, so totally different engine than this one (V3) and earlier which are based on the more common Curtis chip Rev 3. I don't find one to be better than the other though, they're just different. Nice, I'm sure having a dedicated controller is a game changer :)
@@polydata In your opinion how close to Repro and the Arturia VSTs get to your Prophet 6? I would love a real Prophet, but it is just way out of my budget for the foreseeable future.
@@dimensionstomorrow they have a different sound for sure because of different architecture, the same way an actual prophet-5 sounds different from a prophet-6, though there's definitely a lot of overlap between them in terms of the types of sounds you can get. I actually don't even own my p6 anymore. I will say that both of those plug-ins sound awesome and I've used them both in professional settings. I slightly prefer repro-5 especially because of some of the under the hood features it has. Even my latest EP is majority Repro-5, I didn't have time to record much hardware on it. If I couldn't get hardware but I could have either of those plug-ins I'd be totally happy, they sound great :)
@@polydata Thanks so much for the info. One last question, in your opinion, is the Prophet the best synth for early polysynth stuff like in old documentaries and PBS stuff? I’m a big fan of these sounds and have never known what would get me closest.
@@dimensionstomorrow Yes, definitely. You can get that type of sound on most synths, a lot of it is how you're programming patches and the way you play them. But definitely the prophet-5 sound is right on the money since it's the real deal, along with the OB-X/OB-Xa/OB-8. Because that's literally what they were using, there wasn't really much else to choose from in those early days, for polysynths it was pretty much just prophet-5 or Oberheim.
Exporting the videos at 1080 takes up more space on my computer, and I just don't feel it's necessary. These videos are mainly just to demonstrate what type of patches they are. But maybe I'll consider that for future videos!

Do you plan to make original presets for the newer Arturia Prophet-5 V?
I've thought about it... not sure yet, but possibly
Hi there, just added a new sound bank for the newer version :)
@@polydata You’ve got a customer, thanks for letting me know😃

cool graphics
Thanks!
Lovely sounds - was it a specific choice to do it for V3 rather than the latest version?
Thanks! I only have V3 right now. Might do a bank for the newer one in the future.
Sound bank for the latest version is up :)
Why not upload 1080p for the better audio bit rate?
