Excellent reason to use cylinder assist, as it will take a lot of load off the box and frame. Any info on people tapping the factory box for cylinder hoses?
Are you going to sell these reenforcement plates to prevent these cracks instead of as a repair? Also you should have welded the cracks before putting the plate over it. Those cracks will spread underneath if you didn't.

Are you going to do the other side of the vehicle as well, or will you wait until similar fatigue develops there on the right side?
I don't believe there's a steering box on the right side, so that side's frame rail shouldn't be subjected to the same stresses that the left side is

Is this fatigue a normal thing or it has something to do will quality issues?
It just standard fatigue from oversized tires and lots of offroading.
