If you watch the extended version of the manhunt, they all agree that his use of this exploit was fair game, however in future manhunts he is not allowed to use it.

I don’t think dream cheated here. He was smart enough to figure out that that was part of the dragon’s AI. And he used it to his advantage. Tho it’s unfair l, it technically isn’t cheating as it’s the games code for the ender dragon that allowed him to do that

1st of all, any% glitchless is a speed run category. 2nd of all, this is a manhunt, and as far as I know, he never states in any of the other manhunts that glitches aren’t allowed.

It’s the same as practicing for a card game tournament(lets use Pokémon for an example) you practice the strategy’s that you can use to win against your opponent and how to counter what they might do, but it’s not staged. What is staged however is the dream smp lore streams

In the reaction video of the same manhunt by dream and hunters, the hunters considered the trap as cheating.
Anyhow there's a rule in dream's manhunts that allows the speedrunner to use any trap or make anything even if it is ILLEGAL until hunters consider them as cheating.
So, as conclusion Dream can do any sort of new wrong types of traps until the hunters counter them out

Okay so couple of months ago dream revealed he did cheat on his speedruns/manhunts. This is already known. The bigger problem though, was never him having cheated, but him having his fans incited against any critic of him and his "luck".
Calling now each of his tricks "cheating" cheapens, in my opinion, the actual cheating debacle as a whole.
