Excellent video Ken. Your setup looks amazing. You are one of my favorite posters on RUclips. Thank you
Wow, thanks!
Great video and excellent content. Thank you.
This is the time of year we are all out working in the woods with our saws and planing on what we will planting and where.
Im always trying to improve my property making my hunting better every year. Hopefully attracting and holding more deer ..
Thanks! Definitely a great time to cut some trees when you don't have to drag them with all of their leaves on them.
Great content always look forward to your uploads
I appreciate that!
Your best video to date
Thanks!
I am attempting to do what I call micro Micro food plants. I find spaces in the woods that the sun grows wild plants naturally and I sow that.
I ended up with maybe a dozen of these micro, microplots, literal, approximately ten square feet.
Is that too small?
Hey I have a question on planting switchgrass. What should I be spraying for it and when also how much. I have a pretty weedy spot I want to spray and plant it.
You plant micros deep in the woods but then need to find a way to be able to cut them? I'm also in NW Wisconsin (Humbird). Pm me if you offer services to walk land. I got a 30 that I've had for 2 years and have already made changes but kinda stuck on where next. Have several good bucks on cam but wasn't able to get close for a variety of reasons.
How do you keep leaf litter from covering your micro plot. My bigger 1 acre plots get covered about one storm into the fall.
You might want to try using a leaf blower to open the crop to the sunlight. I blow the leaves off my kill plots in the middle of the day so as to not spook deer. Or a light leaf rake works too.
How does one go about getting the soil's pH tested?
Your state's agricultural extension will typically do it for free. You can also go to a local feed mill or co-op and ask them, they'll get you hooked up.
Put leafs in leafs 🤔
Just curious as to what your credentials are for offering this information? Also, why do you feel it’s a good idea to put a stand over a food plot? Thanks.
Why does he need credentials to offer advice for what has worked for him? He's not telling you that you must follow his outline to succeed. Just free advice.....that he will make small profits from others watching.
@@jaseast I agree, you get what you pay for…
Let's see. You don't need "credentials" to pass on stuff you've learned, and that's worked for you. If you're looking for "credentials" why are you looking on a channel with Hobby in the title?
The titles says Kill Plots. They would by definition not be kill plots if you didn't hunt over them. It's a place for deer to pass through on the way to the main food source where they don't feel as pressured as in the main food plot/source with lots of other deer. That's why they are kept small. They don't attract tons of deer, and can usually be shot from one side to the other with a bow.
