It’s crazy how we can be so deceived and blinded by this, I’ve been living over 8 years with Jesus now and I have not noticed that I was serving mammon the whole time, it’s crazy how dependent I’ve become from owning things and money or being in fear and worry when I didn’t had or have the security money makes us feel. Like being able to pay all the bills and just be in control of things all the time, when God tells us that He is a provider, that we should not worry about anything because He already knows what we need. It’s crazy to me because we can ignore God and become inpatient and try to fix everything with our own hands and yea in the end we dig a hole and fall into it. I’m currently 9 months pregnant, my job ended now I’m worried somehow how will I be able to make money for my boy but God tells and conforms me saying that He will meet all my needs and I should not worry. It’s time for me to let go of the control and let God be God!

With the work God is doing I refuse to serve money, I choose to serve God, what is done for his kingdom will last forever. What happens down here is as a puff of smoke. Honestly, I don't think the Church knows what Jesus did on the cross and in the resurrection. We are a new creation. The old man who lusted after riches to cover their insecurity died on the cross. Yes Jesus died in our place, but we died too. When Jesus was resurrected, we were too. It's the world without God that has to hoard for their future security. If we are not secure in our identity in Christ, yes, we can be tempted to seek wealth to take care of us. In Acts 2 the gospel was preached and the Holy Spirit filled them. What happened next? They sold their possessions and gave to others and nobody had lack. The Church today is so far from the Acts 2 pattern. Do we really believe that Jesus is our Provision? Do we believe we are delivered from every darkness including poverty? Just food for examination.

I believe mammon is more than just money and material possessions. It also includes fame/popularity, and power/influence. None of these things are wrong or sinful, in and of themselves. Mammon, like Ma'am and Mon combined is a set of ideas wherein one is provided for by both a Ma'am and Mon or only by one or the other... Ma'am being female and Mon being as Monsieur, or masculine. And so Ma'am-Mon is the ones who provides for your paychecks. You cannot serve two providers.. Work addiction is like a food addiction. Even if it's bad for you, you keep eating it.
But they say tobacco is addicting and so thus just as 'bad'. So anything that is 'addicting' can be seen as 'bad'. But wait. What about the addiction for water? But water is a 'need' and not an addiction. Then what about sleep? Sleep is a need but not an addiction although it can become one just like drinking overabundance of water can become addicting and just like smoking many times a day can become addicting. So what is being asked here? Is what you partake in; water, sleep, smoking, work, food, an addictive or a 'joy' in life? Is work a 'joy'? Is 'food' a joy? Is smoking a 'joy'? Is sleep a 'joy'? Is God a 'joy'? Is 'serving mammon' a joy? Is serving God a 'joy'? I can enjoy smoking and still serve God. But if I enjoy smoking and serve mammon over God, then that 'joy' does not belong unto God, in a sense. And hence disease.
But what one thing while serving God can become a glitch? Water? Smoking? Working? Sleeping? Which two goes into pairs? Water and Sleeping? Water and Smoking? Water and Working? Maybe water is needed while working.. And maybe smoking goes more in line with 'resting', or 'sleeping'. And so smoking and sleeping. What about for 'food'. To which other might 'food' be paired with? Food and Water? Food and smoking? Food and working? Food and sleeping? Maybe food and working, and maybe food and sleeping. When one eats, often times, the person goes to sleep; a nap. And food is needed to keep energy levels up so as to 'work'. So with 'food' within work and sleep, this can become a glitch even while serving God.
How so? Food can cause either a turning away from eating responsibilities with excuses that 'work' requires energy and/or food which causes laziness and sluggardness which is excused away because to 'work' might cause a serving or a need of mammon. So food can be used as an excuse for both irresponsibility as to what one eats and irresponsibility to 'work'. Smoking excessive amounts of marijuana, let's say, can have the same types of excuses being made. Smoking excessive amounts of tobacco? And so you have all the 'joys'... but if left without responsibilities, even every single one of them can become an addictive with irresponsibility. Even 'work'.
But what might 'cause' these addictions to become part of a person when at first these began as 'joys' and not addictives? The lack of opportunities to receive proper and just responsibilities. A prince walking in servant shoes and a servant riding upon the horse of the king... for example... rewards and opportunities given wrongly. And of course, even logically speaking, if one receives of something 'outside' of his/her 'skill/understanding/prudence', etc... the results produced would not be correct either.
And but... Who has responsibilities over trusts and treasuries? To wrongly delegate responsibilities within these trusts and treasuries, the amount being produced might still be the same, but the quality being produced might not be the same. And the 'par' quality of these outputs and the standards used to measure the 'quality' might change. While the rightful ones might have needed to step away from their own 'skill/understanding/prudence' in lieu to allow for others not 'skilled/understanding/prudent' to be given opportunity to produce the same 'amount' neglecting the 'quality'.
I don't get why are we sent here on earth if we can't have a physical experience. So we have to deprive ourselves to please "God" because we are so afraid not going to heaven? That means he is just as selfish as these demons described in the bible.

If you trust in God, can you have any money?

So i told my family, God was paying my bills. They said i had to if i believed in God. Why is this confusing me ? I prayed for God to pay, as Jesus paid. So what am i not getting, i pray. Jesus told of a man who sent men out that made no money. Can you explain, please?

The word Mammon is a name of a God.
I can see it as same entity. Mammon is a lord of money and material world. Not the material things itself.
Sell the kingdom of God and everything else will be added to you
Mammon often and most times defined as 'monies' or 'material 'wealth''. I personally do not agree with this. Mammon, like Ma'am and Mon combined is a set of ideas wherein one is provided for by both a Ma'am and Mon or only by one or the other... Ma'am being female and Mon being as Monsieur, or masculine. And so Ma'am-Mon is the ones who provides for your paychecks.
You cannot serve two providers..
Work addiction is like a food addiction. Even if it's bad for you, you keep eating it.
But they say tobacco is addicting and so thus just as 'bad'. So anything that is 'addicting' can be seen as 'bad'. But wait. What about the addiction for water? But water is a 'need' and not an addiction. Then what about sleep? Sleep is a need but not an addiction although it can become one just like drinking overabundance of water can become addicting and just like smoking many times a day can become addicting. So what is being asked here? Is what you partake in; water, sleep, smoking, work, food, an addictive or a 'joy' in life? Is work a 'joy'? Is 'food' a joy? Is smoking a 'joy'? Is sleep a 'joy'? Is God a 'joy'?
Is 'serving mammon' a joy? Is serving God a 'joy'?
I can enjoy smoking and still serve God. But if I enjoy smoking and serve mammon over God, then that 'joy' does not belong unto God, in a sense. And hence disease.
But what one thing while serving God can become a glitch? Water? Smoking? Working? Sleeping?
Which two goes into pairs? Water and Sleeping? Water and Smoking? Water and Working? Maybe water is needed while working.. And maybe smoking goes more in line with 'resting', or 'sleeping'. And so smoking and sleeping. What about for 'food'. To which other might 'food' be paired with? Food and Water? Food and smoking? Food and working? Food and sleeping?
Maybe food and working, and maybe food and sleeping. When one eats, often times, the person goes to sleep; a nap. And food is needed to keep energy levels up so as to 'work'. So with 'food' within work and sleep, this can become a glitch even while serving God.
How so? Food can cause either a turning away from eating responsibilities with excuses that 'work' requires energy and/or food which causes laziness and sluggardness which is excused away because to 'work' might cause a serving or a need of mammon. So food can be used as an excuse for both irresponsibility as to what one eats and irresponsibility to 'work'. Smoking excessive amounts of marijuana, let's say, can have the same types of excuses being made. Smoking excessive amounts of tobacco?
And so you have all the 'joys'... but if left without responsibilities, even every single one of them can become an addictive with irresponsibility. Even 'work'.
But what might 'cause' these addictions to become part of a person when at first these began as 'joys' and not addictives? The lack of opportunities to receive proper and just responsibilities. A prince walking in servant shoes and a servant riding upon the horse of the king... for example... rewards and opportunities given wrongly.
And of course, even logically speaking, if one receives of something 'outside' of his/her 'skill/understanding/prudence', etc... the results produced would not be correct either.
And but... Who has responsibilities over trusts and treasuries? To wrongly delegate responsibilities within these trusts and treasuries, the amount being produced might still be the same, but the quality being produced might not be the same. And the 'par' quality of these outputs and the standards used to measure the 'quality' might change. While the rightful ones might have needed to step away from their own 'skill/understanding/prudence' in lieu to allow for others not 'skilled/understanding/prudent' to be given opportunity to produce the same 'amount' neglecting the 'quality'.
I don't get why are we sent here on earth if we can't have a physical experience. So we have to deprive ourselves to please "God" because we are so afraid not going to heaven? That means he is just as selfish as these demons described in the bible.
Well God gave us free will why cant we have 2 Gods. Do good for God and have Mammon to help us with our finance and wealth? And by the way is it the other way around? The Gods supposed to provide us with our needs in able to enjoy life??? Religion is so confusing.

In a way yes. But mercantilism which preceded capitalism was also predatory in nature. And feudalism was cruel as well. But feudalism was created due to fear of Vikings and Magyars coming down and raping the villagers and killing the monks. So Fear is the real problem.
