Non of our guys can run 9.91or 9.90 or even 9.79, 9.77 etc so i am not sure what strong means to be honest but we still wish ourselves good luck.

I guess they mean that considering the talent that's available, this is a strong list.
The reality though is this is probably the strongest team we could send.
Our biggest challenge is putting systems in place to identify and develop talent so we can dominate especially in the sprints and jumps where we have a lot of potential.
Tobi is the only individual who has the chance to medal and even there is no guarantee there as she's one of a good number of brilliant hurdlers with the potential to make the podium.
We do have a chance in the relays though as we know that relays are not only just about foot speed as smooth exchanges can make a massive difference.

I wish them all well , let’s hope they get all the support from the federation, what is this subjectivity nonsense all about , simply put the fastest athletes on the team if you want to win , any other way , you are doom to fail , if you don’t put your fastest and the best , you will not win , simple as that, let’s stop this bias in selecting our team , now with the sixteen year old American sensation , he was sixth in the 400 meters trial and for a relay team , six are usually taken, that’s why he was selected as a member of the relay team , not for any other reason , America can be fair in that way, Athing Mu did not make the American 800 meters team because she fell and didn’t make the top three at the trials, even though she is the American record holder, Olympic champion , certainly one of the best in the world if not the best , many counties will still choose her to make the team , but that will mean displacing one of those that finished in the top three at the trials, so no sentiments here , so Nigeria should stop this subjective nonsense, when people know the standard and the yardstick used to make the team , there will be no problem if they are not selected, soon you will start putting a Fulani man to run the 100 meters even if he doesn’t meet the standard because you want be to subjective , we must adhere to merits when merits are called for period .

Nigeria isn't USA. USA and maybe to a certain degree, Jamaica, is the only country that strictly uses their Olympic trials to select their athletes because they have a deep pool of talents.
Countries like Germany or the UK can't try that .
So this subjectivity is used globally
