The lack of microphone controls in the BIS remake is indeed the best thing about it. Makes me wish for a Zelda: Spirit Tracks remake that does away with it also.
Finally someone said it. The framerate and overall slowed down gameplay of the BiS Remake is annoying and make it a lot less fun to play compared to the original.
It’s weird that the BIS remake isn’t at 60 FPS... either the game had a way lower budget than superstar saga DX, or the 3D giant battles took up a lot of memory space on the game cartridge so they had to slow things down 🤷♂️
@@unclegrandpagaming165 I think it was cause Alphadream was running out of money when they made this. They needed a quick cash-grab to get back on track. That doesn't excuse it, though. They could've spent the money making a new Mario and Luigi game for the Switch instead of remakes.

Funny and sad at the same time. Dream team's artstyle was simply designed for 3d, and since the remakes weren't 3d and paper jam was meshed with paper, dream team ended up being the most appealing in the end.
Maybe, the members of AlphaDream will go on to form another company that makes a new Mario RPG series as a spiritual successor to Mario & Luigi. Fan games are always a possibility as well...
Martanis_IV the one thing that bothers me about the Magic Window is that you can’t use it indefinitely like in the original. It was an allowance for skilled players in late game, and an incentive to explore Bowser’s Castle as Mario and Luigi.
Yeah but magic window was amazing and fast while in the remake it was slow and bad on my recent playthrpugh of the game I was tempted not to get it but I wanted to get the beams and blocks down there
At this point, as much as I want them to remaster PIT, I honestly want them to move on to the next main line M&L game. I want a brand new story, new characters, new abilities, new lands to explore, new music to hear. I want a *new* M&L game. Not a remaster, a new one. It'd be perfect to put it on the Switch as well.
Here’s how I want Partners in Time to be remastered. They make both versions of Princess Leach much more capable of themselves. Like I said before, even though I find Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time to be underappreciated like its predecessor, at the same time, I could see why people might have a problem with it, that being Princess Peach (both the adult and baby version) sounding like and being token damsels.
I liked Superstar Saga DX and thought Bowser's Minions was a good side story. Bowser's Inside Story DX, meh take it or leave it. I did like Bowser Jr's Journey though.
Fawful's Minion should have covered Bowser Jr's Journey Journey a lot more than he actually did. The story is on par with the main games stories (Except for Paper Jam obviously.), which is surprising since Bowser's Minions isn't. He also did not cover music from the side stories which I think the new music from BJJ would have made him appreciate BIS's music more. It really makes me wonder if he even completed it. It only gets really good after you complete your first visit to Blubble Lake, so that makes me even more concerned with how long Fawful played it.
@@6k546 wouldn't be surprised if I'm being honest. Pushing forward (wheeze) is VERY hard in that game. Bowser jr. Is still an annoying little shit for the first half, and the gameplay is simply hot garbage, even if it is improved from bowsers minions.
One think that bothers me with the remakes is a lack of a a hardmode. They added it to dream team so they showed that they can do it and it greatly boosted my enjoyment of the game. Another thing I never got is why they didn't add badges to the superstar saga remake. If you're gonna go for the gameplay updates go in all the way I'd say.
I’m very glad someone brought up the butchered sound bits. The two instances where I preferred the original was Bowser’s whiffed jab in his fight at the toad town hospital where I thought the grunts and tripping was exceptionally funny, and Dark Fawful’s giggles when using the suction headgear 360 attack during his fight in Peach’s castle. They are little things, but it’s those that you tend to notice the most.
Luckily, I played it on a emulator so I just had to modify the sound of the game and simulate the mic I literary had to do nothing to win that battle was just clicking the icon and use the punch in the mountain thing and to counterattack
These both have my blessing, they are some of the best looking games on the system, the music is top notch, the combat is great, and they make aome improvements as well, they are by no means perfect remakes but i still love them. (Also im one of the few who legitamently enjoyed the side modes plus we got more fawful lines from them so thats a plus.)
Great video, but I would have added these points Good: Taking a note from dream team, Bowser’s giant bosses have been added to the arena, so no longer do we have to replay the entire game to re-experience the fun giant battles (+2) Bad: So you can add giant battles, a fun distraction, to the gauntlet, but you didn’t even add Bowser’s main battles to the gauntlet? What the hell? I want my Dark Fawful EX goddamnit! (+2) Why does the Dark Star EX use the normal boss theme when Antasma X from Dream Team reused the Antasma battle theme? (+1)
Yoko’s usually hit or miss when she remixes. But when she makes new music? GOOD LORD IS IT AWESOME. Seriously, The final boss theme of Bowser Jr’s Journey is nothing short of amazing! Easily my second favorite song behind In the Final!
BISDX's new title theme is... good, but I really wish they remade the original instead, and I absolutely HATE what they did to the minigame theme. But overall, I love the remastered BIS soundtrack!
These 2 are an automatic blessed from me, I absolutely love how they updated them, especially BISDX. And that's coming from someone who's favorite game ever is BIS, but God damn did the remake blow me away.
Blessed or Messed: Paper Mario: Color Splash. Is it as messed as Sticker Star or is it in the range of Blessed of M&L: Paper Jam? Seriously, I'm still waiting on that episode...

@@DarkFawful Also, the part that sickens me is how some Paper Mario fans are clamoring that AlphaDream's bankruptcy means Paper Mario will go back to it's roots. Dude, just, no.
I prefer both the DX versions. Though it is a real bummer that the Challenge Medal no longer makes the game harder, at least that means Bowser X won't be even more infuriating than he already is.
We need one of two: A Parthners in Time remake that fix things to the point it becomes one of the best, or a new incredible game for the switch, or better, BOTH.
What do you propose PiT DX "fix" that wouldn't involve a complete overhaul. As far as I understand people only moan about two things - linearity and Bros items. They could restore Bros points for the remake and get rid of the item stocking of those attacks but the linearity is fundamentally woven into the game. Keep in mind PiT is one of my favorites in the series because I don't have a pathological aversion to linearity like most gamers (who don't even seem to realize that ALL M&L games are completely linear - they just have open hub worlds to lightly disguise this fact), but they're not going to change the game's fundamental layout so what exactly did you have in mind?
@@ThrillingDuck I don't think the linearity of PiT is that much of an issue, I like just having a straight line to go in and having fun doing it. I think the main issue is how spammable the bro's moves are and how spongy the bosses are in the late game, they could fix it by making coins more scarce so you can't just buy 50 thousand cannonballers and destroy everything, and also making beans non-renewable so fawfuls shop doesn't feel like a cheap way of cheesing the difficulty of the entire game.
@@DannyCheezits I'm on board with all of this, though I still think restoring Bros Points would work a little better than money scarcity personally. Not that it seems likely PiT DX is ever gonna happen now anyway with Alpha Dream out of commission :(
Welp, maybe he doesn’t like to see what’s so bad about it, since then again, he did defend Super Mario Sunshine, Sonic Forces, Shadow the Hedgehog, Sonic Lost World and most 3D Sonic games including Sonic Free Riders.
I got a 2DS last Saturday and played Mario and Luigi Superstar Saga + Bowser's Minions, and it is amazing, I'm almost at the end of the game! After I finish it, I'm gonna play Bowser's Minions Mode! Then when I'm finish the game, I'm gonna get and play Bowser's Inside Story + Bowser Jr's Journey!
My favorite DS game of all time is actually Partners in Time. I just love how you can control two sets of characters at the same time, and the battle system is just awesome. Sucks that its the one game they didn't make a remake of. But maybe its a dodged bullet...
theres ONE thing i find unforgivable about BiS DX luigi's sprite doesnt dance on the level up screen. in the original version, luigi does a fun little shuffle, in the remake, he just stands there.
You know I think the problem with the art direction in these remakes isn’t the the sprite work itself. It looks great. It’s that it just doesn’t look as good as in a 2d game. Dream team had these 2d sprites in a 3D plane most of the time, along with the battles. Since the remakes are of a game that was originally 2d, they just weren’t meant for a 2d overworld. And I’m not saying the overworld is literally only left and right, but the overworld in dream team was *actual* 3D models. It was an actual 3D game.
also I didn't see much slow down on M & L BiS, maybe because I played on a new 3ds and they optimized it for the new 3ds and its better processing power
well, I feel like SS DX was great because it brought Superstar Saga to a newer platform, so that people who hadn't played the original could play it... BIS DX just, releases on pretty much the same platform... I must say that I haven't played DX, but I just don't feel like the sprites give off as much "charm" as the original ones... Bowser also lost most of his charm in the DX... making him more like "angry evil bad guy" other than "slightly less evil bad guy who isn't really a bad guy for now" just... the change in design kinda is... ugly? I suppose...
I personally think that both soundtracks of BiS are on equal footing, also if the M&L games on 3DS looked this good i can't wait to see how they look on the Switch
Personally, I enjoyed both of the remakes, even the side games were fun. They fixed the problems that both the originals had. Here's hoping that they eventually remake Partners in Time, even if it's for the Switch Or even a new game, I'm all for that too!
I'm thinking then reason they didn't make a PIT remake was because they are making a new game on switch, and that they wanted to get out these remakes before this new game is announced.(just a personal theory though)
Speaking as someone who played both superstar saga and bowsers inside story on release, based on what you said these remasters seem to serve as more than serviceable introductions to games a lot of people probably missed. Here’s hoping a new game with a new art style comes to the switch
I'm personally not a fan of the remasters. Dream Team's new graphics were great, but seeing the same models, voice clips and general sound design over and over and over again just gets... boring. I actually prefer the more pixelated look of the older games
I am a fan of the graphics myself, however they shouldn't have reused as many sprites as they did. Toads have never looked more plain and boring (Even the 2 latest paper mario games had more expressiveness than this), they could have done with more exaggeration like they did with the remastered sprites for Popple and Cackletta, and they could have maybe done something with the colors, such as making some things more vibrant. Overall, I'd say that they could have done better. I am not tired of the graphics, just dont want them reusing the same sprites over and over again. Atleast give the same sprites some new animations, like with Mario and Luigi's battle animations.
They have steadily gotten better every game to the point that they barely even look like the Dream Team models anymore, besides, why fix what isn’t broken?
@@hyperdrive282 Exactly. Although a little change my be good, why waste all the effort they put into making the sprites in the first place? Dream Team took so long to develope mostly because of the sprite work alone. If I spent that long on valuable assets for games, I would want to use them more often too.
The next Mario and Luigi rpg need to take notes from Cuphead. A beautiful Cartoon graphics that homage the original Pixel artstyle of the first three games.
I actually never had any lag issues for BIS DX. Also I wonder what he thinks about the bowser Jr's journey's battle theme, boss battle theme, and final boss battle theme.
The original BiS is always going to be my favorite game in the series no matter what. The remake may not be as great as the original, but everytime I play the remake it puts a big dumb smile on my face.
I can say, without a single doubt in my mind, that both of these wonderful remakes are BLESSED to the core! So glad they remade these great games. It’s sad they’re getting so much hate.
bro I love the REMAKES i think there great. I love Fawful has his own battle theme (even tho it’s Cackletta theme) I love the Dark Star and Dark Fawful themes :)
My thoughts exactly. They should have made a remake of Partners in Time. They knew the mistakes they made in this game, so why did they had to ignore it and make a remake of a game that was already successful?
I like SSDX, but the Bowser's Minions section actually managed to piss me off. I haven't played BISDX yet (at the time I send this reply), but I do hope the BJJ section is better than Bowser's Minions. And before I get replies saying that I'm not missing anything, I've already seen all the cutscenes. I'm testing the GAMEPLAY.
One thing I can't get over is the new EXCELLENT sounds effect. I know it'd be hard to perfectly recreate the DS sound font, but I'd rather just put dream teams
Honestly, I feel like that a Bowser's inside story remake was uncalled-for and too early. Not only does the original game came out nearly a decade ago, (9 years AFTER when the DX released), the original game was also backwards compatible with the 3DS. I think the only reason we have remakes on the classic games is because after paper jam, the sales didn't meet expectations and they didn't want to go bankrupt, so they remade the "golden games" that sold well years ago. Too bad that Superstar Saga DX sold 500k and Bowser's Inside Story sold 34k (In Japan.)
they made the backgrounds in BIS DX be all super spectacular shiny and glossy and animated, yet kuzzle's furniture puzzles lay there motionless like a rock ='). with how lively the new backgrounds looked i was expecting the already animated kuzzle's furniture to look even more mesmerizing in the remake but nop, they're just still images... at least i can still enjoy the rest of the backgrounds. and am i the only one who genuinely enjoyed roaring/blowing into the mic during giant battle as if i were bowser himself?
7:57 I found that instead of having to blow into the mic, you could just rub your finger over it really fast. It makes a similar sound and confuses the mic, giving you an excellent almost every time. And you don’t end up looking like an idiot if your playing in public. Try this out next time you go back and play this game.
In SS DX, I loved what they did with the normal battle theme, beans, invisible blocks and being able to strike first with hand power. Oh and Golden Mushrooms are much more common. I didn't like what they did with switching the bros positions, a few other songs and the Koopaling fights.
One thing to note is that Yoko didn't actually remaster the music for Bowser's Inside Story, or even arrange the new tracks. It was a new set of arrangers Alpha Dream hired, likely because they couldn't afford Yoko at the moment or get her because she was busy. As for Superstar Saga DX I'm pretty sure she helped arrange most of the tracks, while some of the arrangers for BiS DX did others.
I don't have an opinion on the BiS remake since I haven't played it but I do enjoy the SS remake~ The only complaint I have is that they took away the ability to switch which bro is first I know the later games didn't have that but it really irks me that they didn't keep it, I liked having Luigi lead damn it!
Maybe do a play through of them? I think it'd be a nice consistent thing between other vids and would be funny in general. Also, we NEED the next Star wars prequel blessed or messed.
Gruntilda vs. Cackletta First part is a diss contest. Gruntilda's part is completely in rhyme and she hasn't lost her touch one bit. Cackletta however, is positively ruthless with the burns. Second part, both of them battle. Has several phases, both characters get a moment to shine with a metal remix of both their themes. Final part, winner beats the other, somehow gets stronger. Faces off against The Super Mario Bros. teamed up with The Bear & Bird. Yoko pulls out all the stops, practically goes full Kingdom Hearts while still retaining the charm of Mario and Luigi series. Then suddenly, Grant Kirkhope chimes in with his usual score, except it's somehow even MORE Banjo-Kazooie than normally possible and it sounds like he's serious this time. The music clashes against each other, fighting for dominance, then starts working together in a glorious mix of old timey platforming goodness. Epic finale, the song ends with perfect timing on the last note as the mother of all witchy hags gets blown out of the sky with a Jinjonator Breegun plus Bros. Attack combo. Then, if you've collected your Jiggies and your Stars like a good little player, it then cuts to Bowser and Klungo growing giant, both of them hopped up on Klungo's potions and Kamek's magic. Cue Mumbo Jumbo and Humba Wumba showing up and casting their magic on Bad News Bears and Snark In Breegull Form. Both Banjo and Kazooie grow giant, and Kazooie gets her old dragon form back. Luigi is obviously having his jaw hitting the floor screaming in momentary panic and WTFing like any sane man would, but his bestest bro pats him on the shoulder and reassures him, pulling out two Mega Mushrooms. After a quick snack, the playing field is levelled. And then you see the most perfect feature you could ever see in a video game. *[Would you like to connect to Nintendo WiFi connection and find an ally?] [YES | NO]* Fighting the very definitive final boss with someone who's doing it at the exact same time YOU ARE, somewhere in the world. One of you controls The Rare Duo, the other controls The Mushroom Men. And if you beat the game, it comes back as a feature as a reward, so you can always find someone to help out later. Or troll. We all have a little Fawful in us, after all~.
Graphics: Obviously better Music: Depends on how you feel. I think for Superstar Saga, the music was improved on, except for Teehee Valley. For BIS, it was just improved on. Gameplay: Again, depends on how you feel. I feel like it was improved on. Difficulty: Superstar Saga DX was harder. BIS felt the same.
I thought the same about the new BiS title theme, I was really mad when I didn't hear that sweet title theme from the original ds game. Also, I still wish that they made it so we could switch the remixes with the original songs, honestly I would've loved it if they'd done that. Edit: A new update was recently released and patched out the original music not playing problem, yay

I recently replayed Mario and Luigi partners in time and I loved it I even got chills honestly we NEED a partners in time remake just imagine it the shroobs and babies in new graphics, remastered music, hearing mario go "babies!" Again, seeing fawfuls bean business again, and if we get a second game built in like the last 2 remakes, now hear me out, basically professor e gadd has trouble fixing his ds time radar and so he calls in special forces, the captain toad brigade, you play as captain toad and his crew (later you unlock more toads/toadette) and you have to travel in time to help both old and young e gadd with the time radars by collectinv items/tools and beans/inventions you'll even bump into Kylie koopa and the koopalings and junior, and even get caught up in shroob forces, but thats just my opinion I just really want a partners in time remake.

I actually LIKE the new Super Bouncer and Magic Window, probably because I have a thing for big finishers to multi-hit attacks.
Martanis_IV the one thing that bothers me about the Magic Window is that you can’t use it indefinitely like in the original. It was an allowance for skilled players in late game, and an incentive to explore Bowser’s Castle as Mario and Luigi.
They probably changed magic window because of the lower framerate.
-You're getting Paper Jam 2 and you're gonna like it-
Mario & Luigi: Sticker Star
Coming 2020
Here’s how I want Partners in Time to be remastered.
They make both versions of Princess Leach much more capable of themselves.
Like I said before, even though I find Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time to be underappreciated like its predecessor, at the same time, I could see why people might have a problem with it, that being Princess Peach (both the adult and baby version) sounding like and being token damsels.
Kieran Stark sorry but a PIT remake is impossible
TheDisguisedCreeper how's that nintendo trademarked the series so...
@@6k546 Pushing Forward in particular is soo good. I would say it's one of my favourite tracks in the whole Mario and Luigi franchise.
I’m curious how they handled superstar saga so much better than BIS.
My opinions are exactly this.
Except Bowser's Minions.
Bowser's Minions sucked.
Because badges in Superstar Saga fulfill a different role giving stat boosts and a extra ability. Also the game is easy enough without them
I’m very glad someone brought up the butchered sound bits. The two instances where I preferred the original was Bowser’s whiffed jab in his fight at the toad town hospital where I thought the grunts and tripping was exceptionally funny, and Dark Fawful’s giggles when using the suction headgear 360 attack during his fight in Peach’s castle. They are little things, but it’s those that you tend to notice the most.
thank GOD they nerfed the train battle in BiS DX
i got a headache from blowing so much as a kid
Empisi9899 oh blowing into the mic SUCKS, but I’m glad they changed that.
my dirty mind is what makes me enjoy comments like these
Luckily, I played it on a emulator so I just had to modify the sound of the game and simulate the mic I literary had to do nothing to win that battle was just clicking the icon and use the punch in the mountain thing and to counterattack
;)
@@reddeath5791 Same ;)
"I'm certain this is the last time they'll use the Dream Team style."
Alphadream goes bankrupt.
I guess that's technically right?

These both have my blessing, they are some of the best looking games on the system, the music is top notch, the combat is great, and they make aome improvements as well, they are by no means perfect remakes but i still love them. (Also im one of the few who legitamently enjoyed the side modes plus we got more fawful lines from them so thats a plus.)
Great video, but I would have added these points
Good:
Taking a note from dream team, Bowser’s giant bosses have been added to the arena, so no longer do we have to replay the entire game to re-experience the fun giant battles (+2)
Bad:
So you can add giant battles, a fun distraction, to the gauntlet, but you didn’t even add Bowser’s main battles to the gauntlet? What the hell? I want my Dark Fawful EX goddamnit! (+2)
Why does the Dark Star EX use the normal boss theme when Antasma X from Dream Team reused the Antasma battle theme? (+1)
Bad: Why does every bros attack cost so much more points than usual in BiS DX ( +2 )
I agree with all of this except the last point, a bit too nitpicky.
Bad:Why the hell did they nerf the Magic door attack in BiS? (+2)
@@Matthew-om8cd good: because it was to broken (+2)
@@theutubepower1243 So you don't just spam one attack and call it a day with bosses
Blessed or Messed: Luigi's Mansion 3DS Remake?
Oof now that’s a real messed right there.
It doesn’t have the same graphics and atmosphere. The original still looks great today.
JJ Slider how?
Michael 590 it still has good graphics and that same great atmosphere
Yoko’s usually hit or miss when she remixes.
But when she makes new music? GOOD LORD IS IT AWESOME.
Seriously, The final boss theme of Bowser Jr’s Journey is nothing short of amazing! Easily my second favorite song behind In the Final!
In my opinion, "Everyone, Attack!" was amazing too
BISDX's new title theme is... good, but I really wish they remade the original instead, and I absolutely HATE what they did to the minigame theme. But overall, I love the remastered BIS soundtrack!
I do not get it the minigame theme is still good.
Worst part is that the BiS remake was pointless. You could literally play the DS game on the 3DS for which the remake was made.
"I'm certain this is the last time [they use the same artstyle]" HOO-HOO-HOOOOOO ARE WE GLAD TO BE RIGHT
No infinite Magic Mirror and Mario doesn’t go “Waho!” With the Head spring special attack, he does but he sounds like he’s depressed.
+15 negative
These 2 are an automatic blessed from me, I absolutely love how they updated them, especially BISDX.
And that's coming from someone who's favorite game ever is BIS, but God damn did the remake blow me away.
I'd actually like to see Fawful's Minion one day take on a game like Sonic & The Black Knight, Crash Twinsanity or Mega Man X8
X8 would be great. I hope this comment gets more upvotes.
Superstar Saga + Bowser's Minions: Blessed.
Bowser's Inside Story + Bowser Jr's Journey: Messed.
Blessed or Messed: Paper Mario: Color Splash. Is it as messed as Sticker Star or is it in the range of Blessed of M&L: Paper Jam? Seriously, I'm still waiting on that episode...
Zebanyan Deluxe it's not that bad you guys are acting like its the worst m&l game ever when that goes to paper jam
Dark Bowser Koopa nah I prefer paper jam over bowsers inside story remake
Kyle / DEA187MDKjr the story is the same though atleast bis dx has a good story and a good side story like the original bis paper jam isn't a bad game but it also isnt a good game id say it's a 6/10
@@DarkFawful Also, the part that sickens me is how some Paper Mario fans are clamoring that AlphaDream's bankruptcy means Paper Mario will go back to it's roots.
Rip Paper Jam
Neither is going to happen
Not that it seems likely PiT DX is ever gonna happen now anyway with Alpha Dream out of commission :(
You forgot about the generic Toad problem, which is a lazy problem.
Welp, maybe he doesn’t like to see what’s so bad about it, since then again, he did defend Super Mario Sunshine, Sonic Forces, Shadow the Hedgehog, Sonic Lost World and most 3D Sonic games including Sonic Free Riders.
@@kieranstark7213 Or maybe, maybe, he just doesn't consider that bad enough? Or even considers that nitpicky at best?.
He mentioned how they take out the charm of the original. He mentions how things like the hammer bro and boos are homogenized
Never clicked on anything faster in my damned life.
Brandon Green lol same
My favorite DS game of all time is actually Partners in Time. I just love how you can control two sets of characters at the same time, and the battle system is just awesome. Sucks that its the one game they didn't make a remake of. But maybe its a dodged bullet...
anyone else find that they gave Bowser cheese is a pretty cool idea, I mean, he does not look like a guy who drinks syrup.
Yeah, that's a pretty awesome detail they added.
Cheese go well with drumsticks
I’ve never seen another RUclipsr put so much effort into videos like this, I won’t regret buying the remakes because of this
I honestly prefer the remakes of the two without a shadow of a doubt.
Edit: ...mmmeeh
Even tho partners in time was the first one I played I still love the original
I AM GOD Chris Benton ... what?
I AM GOD Chris Benton what original?
I don't get it
@@vaccuumhelmet521 pretty sure he means the original m&l game, superstar saga
Blank Name ok.
I haven't gotten the remakes yet, but I'm excited to!
But I'm still sad there's no Partners in time remake... That was my first ever Mario RPG.
theres ONE thing i find unforgivable about BiS DX
luigi's sprite doesnt dance on the level up screen.
in the original version, luigi does a fun little shuffle, in the remake, he just stands there.
I haven't played the remakes but JESUS WHY DOES BOWSER LOOK SO MUCH SCARIER I LOVE IT
You know I think the problem with the art direction in these remakes isn’t the the sprite work itself. It was an actual 3D game.
also I didn't see much slow down on M & L BiS, maybe because I played on a new 3ds and they optimized it for the new 3ds and its better processing power
maybe
bluemario610 I’ve a new 3ds too and I still find the game to be quite sluggish at times though
BiS DX definitely runs smoother on a new 3DS compared to a classic 3DS. Although it still chugs at points (giant battles mostly)
well, I feel like SS DX was great because it brought Superstar Saga to a newer platform, so that people who hadn't played the original could play it...
The super star saga remake booted out Geno , it's MESSED by default .
@sneaselxriolu How's that going to help?
What?
sneaselxriolu Game Freak is the company who made Pokémon. Alpha Dream made M&L, Square made Geno
Geno is overrated!
@@newtfigton8795 Tbh, he kinda is.
Personally, I enjoyed both of the remakes, even the side games were fun. They fixed the problems that both the originals had.
Here's hoping that they eventually remake Partners in Time, even if it's for the Switch
Or even a new game, I'm all for that too!
I'm thinking then reason they didn't make a PIT remake was because they are making a new game on switch, and that they wanted to get out these remakes before this new game is announced.(just a personal theory though)
I gotta say, I love how the intro has that part where it rhymes, and the way you talk, its almost cartoonish! Great work!
"I'm certain that it's the last time they'll use dream team's art style"
Ouch.
Just a correction: Dream Team and beyond still uses *sprites* for the characters, only using models during Giant/Papercraft battles
The next Mario and Luigi rpg need to take notes from Cuphead. A beautiful Cartoon graphics that homage the original Pixel artstyle of the first three games.
"Felt like they made a magic marker mustache on the original"
Is that a SML reference?
I actually never had any lag issues for BIS DX. Also I wonder what he thinks about the bowser Jr's journey's battle theme, boss battle theme, and final boss battle theme.
The original BiS is always going to be my favorite game in the series no matter what. The remake may not be as great as the original, but everytime I play the remake it puts a big dumb smile on my face.
I can say, without a single doubt in my mind, that both of these wonderful remakes are BLESSED to the core! So glad they remade these great games. It’s sad they’re getting so much hate.
I agree, I own both of these Remakes and they are AWESOME :)
bro I love the REMAKES i think there great. I love Fawful has his own battle theme (even tho it’s Cackletta theme) I love the Dark Star and Dark Fawful themes :)
I actually found the remakes overall more difficult than the originals. I feel like I'm the only one with this opinion.
For me:
Superstar saga DX is better
Bowser’s Inside Story original is better
Nicholas Ali HORAY
For me: Superstar saga DX is better
Bowser's inside story DX is equal to the og.
On my 3ds I play ss dx and bis NOT dx
My thoughts exactly. They should have made a remake of Partners in Time. They knew the mistakes they made in this game, so why did they had to ignore it and make a remake of a game that was already successful?
I like SSDX, but the Bowser's Minions section actually managed to piss me off.
I haven't played BISDX yet (at the time I send this reply), but I do hope the BJJ section is better than Bowser's Minions. And before I get replies saying that I'm not missing anything, I've already seen all the cutscenes. I'm testing the GAMEPLAY.
"Well, A, I'm sure that's the last time..."
He was right in all the wrong ways.
"It reminds me of Lion King 1/2 only...good."
Excuse me?
I’m not the only one who thought of the lion king and a half when I saw these side modes!?!? They really are quite similar.
One thing I can't get over is the new EXCELLENT sounds effect. I know it'd be hard to perfectly recreate the DS sound font, but I'd rather just put dream teams
Perhaps the reason why BIS DX was messed us because they were near bankruptcy. Like they are now
Very happy that nintendo stuck to a style for once, instead of changing the formula up and breaking the franchise.
Rest in peace, paper mario.
I still want a Partner's In time remake.
I'm surprised you didn't mention the fact *they nerfed Magic Window*
they made the backgrounds in BIS DX be all super spectacular shiny and glossy and animated, yet kuzzle's furniture puzzles lay there motionless like a rock ='). with how lively the new backgrounds looked i was expecting the already animated kuzzle's furniture to look even more mesmerizing in the remake but nop, they're just still images... at least i can still enjoy the rest of the backgrounds.
and am i the only one who genuinely enjoyed roaring/blowing into the mic during giant battle as if i were bowser himself?
YEAH! This was a long time coming!
Ok we get, you like poetry.
7:57 I found that instead of having to blow into the mic, you could just rub your finger over it really fast. It makes a similar sound and confuses the mic, giving you an excellent almost every time. And you don’t end up looking like an idiot if your playing in public. Try this out next time you go back and play this game.
Hmm I might try that as I'm expecting the game to come tomorrow in the mail
Thanks
In SS DX, I loved what they did with the normal battle theme, beans, invisible blocks and being able to strike first with hand power. Oh and Golden Mushrooms are much more common.
I didn't like what they did with switching the bros positions, a few other songs and the Koopaling fights.
Mario & luigi superstar saga dx is awsome! But bis dx is kinda nah.
How dare you
I have to say that between ups and downs I equally like both remake and original. I hope the did better with the remake, but I'm not dissapointed.
I'm taking about BiS, SS DX is amazing.
Joel Blake It’s his opinion. Leave him alone
Buzzy Trombone
Do you feel attacked or something? Let Joel have HIS opinion. We all have the same voice here.
I don't have an opinion on the BiS remake since I haven't played it but I do enjoy the SS remake~
The only complaint I have is that they took away the ability to switch which bro is first
I know the later games didn't have that but it really irks me that they didn't keep it, I liked having Luigi lead damn it!
Honestly I loved both games, and since BIS was such an important part of my childhood, the remake brought back that childhood joy.
Maybe do a play through of them? I think it'd be a nice consistent thing between other vids and would be funny in general. Also, we NEED the next Star wars prequel blessed or messed.
Sitting in class “Fawful’s minion has uploaded” FORGET THAT
I don't really understand the hate towards Dream Team's graphics. They seem okay to me. I'd say they're more improved for 3D, than pixel sprites.
and your probably right but I think Bowser look better in the original games
Sེkαnnick_
Definitely NOT better in the original Superstar Saga though. That one was weird.
Actually, the graphics in the remakes ARE pixel sprites. Just extremely detailed.
@@andrewcosmicanimations8709 Yeah, that's what I'm trying to say.
Ahh. Thought you were saying they were 3d model sprites.
Gruntilda vs. Cackletta
First part is a diss contest.
*[Would you like to connect to Nintendo WiFi connection and find an ally?] [YES | NO]*
Fighting the very definitive final boss with someone who's doing it at the exact same time YOU ARE, somewhere in the world. One of you controls The Rare Duo, the other controls The Mushroom Men. And if you beat the game, it comes back as a feature as a reward, so you can always find someone to help out later. Or troll. We all have a little Fawful in us, after all~.
Graphics: Obviously better
Music: Depends on how you feel. I think for Superstar Saga, the music was improved on, except for Teehee Valley. For BIS, it was just improved on.
Gameplay: Again, depends on how you feel. I feel like it was improved on.
Difficulty: Superstar Saga DX was harder. BIS felt the same.
I feel the same
I thought the same about the new BiS title theme, I was really mad when I didn't hear that sweet title theme from the original ds game. Also, I still wish that they made it so we could switch the remixes with the original songs, honestly I would've loved it if they'd done that.
Edit: A new update was recently released and patched out the original music not playing problem, yay
Superstar Saga Remaster was Definately needed. The Inside story not so much
Agreed. And Partners in Time should've gotten the most remake treatment. Not Bowser's Inside Story.
12:40 They used the Lets a go okie dokie from Superstar Saga, But the original BiS version was so much more emphatic and inflective even with ds compression l you know it was going to be a fight.
Alright, let me be frank. I ain't never click on notifications or put time aside in my day for RUclips...unless it's the whimsical Fawful's "Logan" Minion. Yep, you are right :(
Too be honest, Fawful Express and Junker were really hard in OG BIS
The Inside Story remake sucks cause it keeps trying to push Koopalings not being Bowser's Kids, a terrible canon that i refuse to accept.
Also the BFF's in Junior's Journey are supposed to be the same race as Midbus, wtf?
I want more Midbus in general cause hes cool and feels like a real rival for Bowser, but thats stupid.
That's only in the side story not in the main game though.
3:50 Technically, they used the Paper Jam design mainly because of Bowser. There’s a difference in Bowser’s design between Dream Team and Paper Jam. But I do get what you’re saying.
