    You guys are the shit. Its incredible how transparent you guys are to the public. I feel too many people are very secretive of what their formula is. Much respect. Can't wait to see what you can do at UCC.

    I today’s society, young people are taught to be “sheep”. Its nice to see experienced guys in the diesel world showing and also telling about their past experiences. It is also refreshing to hear someone reinforce the belief, to be different and don’t be scared of failure. Thank y’all for the positive influence and continue to push the norms/boundaries.

    Love these guys. The shop and guys come across as honest and "normal" as any other guy. Not hating on the other UCC competitors, they all put out amazing trucks. But Todd and the guys come across as more like the guy across the road hotting up his daily driver.

    These engines seem awesome. I wanna touch on the welding thing. For years online people would hate if you had ugly welds, but I've noticed a trend recently on the off road build groups where people will say hey I'm new to welding critique me. And people will say hey yeah your weld is ugly but it looks strong, or it looks weak and here what you can do to fix it and alot of people now adays get quite detailed on how to make welds better

    Don't worry, I welded it myself!! Thats what my bumper sticker says :)
    I've got two awesome all aluminum snowmobile trailers that I welded myself, 1st time doing aluminum. (Everybody poo-pooed my "unibody" design, till they saw it finished) Some of the first welds don't look so good, but I got better as I went. And, now, after 3yrs, none of them have cracked.....so "F" them welding snobs. In my book, it's about whether they hold, not how they look.

    Stock compression ratio for Cat or Cummins is around 17 to 1 depending on model of engine .
    Don’t forget diesel has no fuel in intake ,injection happens at what ever time you set it at .
    About 30 years ago Cummins had a gen set that ran on 80 lbs of boost . Twin turbo after cooled 800 horse and the factory warranted it

    Question, why so many bends in your fuel lines? You made a comment about losing pressure, but theoretically you lose pressure with all the bends. Why not make a straighter path from pump to injector?

    I have put propane on many stock diesel engines. I don't know if it will help you with the HUGE boost you have.
    I have ran oxygen at the exhaust port to spool the turbo/s (watch your EGT).
    What kind of spool, reaction time, and ET? That's the balance.
    Hint: Load the chassis. Drop the tranny brake, it is too much of a shock on your chassis.

    • @mikebrooka9395
      @mikebrooka9395 5 лет назад

      @@pddofficial maybe a waste gate that drops shut off of a micro switch. 30+ years ago, we ran them to control the nitrous.
      If you had to peddle, nitrous OFF. Get back in it, nitrous ON. Basically, hold your brakes (extra waste gate open; lift brakes, full boost.... I hope, with loaded chassis).
      Since I no longer race, try household ammonia, in the upper revs. It is an oxidizer with water. Fuel timing may need adjustment. Basically, the less coal equals more roll. Your chassis dyno will tell you on the first pull.

    So on the fuel lines, are the bigger lines a larger I.D. with the same wall thickness, or are they thicker walls? If the I.D. is bigger, wall size will need to compensate for increased hoop stress. Furthermore, relative volume change due to tube expansion will increase with diameter, so the walls have to be proportionally stronger to keep the swell losses down.
