Wow, I couldn’t help noticing the Starfleet badge you're wearing! Is it an expression of your enthusiasm for this car? That’s so subtle and cool. Congrats on being the first to post a full review of the new NIO online, that's really impressive. Your review was so convincing that now I really want to buy one. Great job!
Such a fabulous review Lili, excellent content, well produced & love the location you filmed at, all the trees, tree nurseries & greenery...beautiful setting. I like this car, love the air ride suspension, square screen, fat chunky steering wheel, 'queen seat'(!) & that cavernous boot space...👌
I think it is very elegant (aside from what others may think). My friend rented a new Audi SUV that other day and I sat in it. I mean, sure, It looks awesome, but legacy premium cars look overdone. That's why I like what NIO is doing. Walk into an Apple store (very elegant and simplistic - no clutter).
On a business trip recently, I thought it would be fun to go old school; I haven't driven an ICE vehicle in over a year, so I rented an Audi A4. It was new. Never again. Legacy cars like this can't come close to what is being offered by EV makers like NIO.
for me as an expert in EVs in premium segment, NIO is the only Chinese EV that I truly respect and love to own. Design, customer approach and technology are totally global. design is European and Drive system is perfect. congratulation to NIO. BTW, I love the name " NIO" its sound very techy and European.
Thank you. This may be the first full review of the car on RUclips, and although our time with the car was generous, it still was a little rushed. I don't know what the NIO thinking is regarding the lack of traditional storage locations - there is definitely not enough in the cars at present. The center console storage bin is deep and spacious, yes, but what this does is turn it into a rubbish bin, and one needs to dig deep to find anything. The bottom center console and door storage areas are not much better, while the front seats offer no storage on their rear for the convenience of passengers. The result, minus the big center rubbish bin, is that the items one wishes to keep in the car are all visible and out in the open; it can be a little messy if one is not meticulous about keeping their interiors tidy. We’re not, but we don't like the visual clutter and would prefer to have all the “stuff” hidden away out of sight.
Some have pointed out that cars, like other electronic appliances, are like phones. Phones don't change radically from one year to the next. Instead, they iterate subtle design changes and improvements from one year to the next. Apple has mastered this approach, and people gobble up their latest phone every year, which is how I’d describe this car compared to its predecessor, the EC6. NIO has announced a refresh of the EC6 to come soon, and I can only guess what's in store. A downgrade from the current EC6? In many ways, excepting some updates, the EC6 and the EC7 are similar.

Great looking car! I have high hopes for NIO's future, they have their work cutout for them with all the new EV competition out there.

Very nice review. They should put a glovebox in and a frunk and remove the footstool thingy. You are correct.

Old design, not luxurious
