I got a sense of actual salt in this vid from Ninkendo. Those matches looked infuriating.
Especially near the last third of the video. There wasn't that much editing in that part.

As a former casual Smash player from Brawl to mid Sm4sh i know that you should *never* go for the person that's spamming. It'll only do more harm to you than it will the spammer.
I actually despise how true this is even though I've only played brawl with items

I just wanna confirm, Honey Nut is the perfect example of causal ROB mains. That’s literally all my friend did when he played ROB, Side B.
Also the reason your kick sucked is because you were in the air. Unlike the punches of Ganon and Falcon, the kicks do more damage on the ground.

What's the point of having it on if all these people just use the exact same preferred rules? It kills the fun and variety.
@@jamesv337 Because 1v1's are how you play the game.
There are 70 different characters, so even if you just play one that's quite a lot of variety.
@@TheLegless101 They all play the same game mode and never use items or stage hazards or anything. They don't even play Stamina or use FS meter at all. Just the same exact thing over and over again.
@@jamesv337 Because items just add an annoying element of RNG that makes you win or lose despite whatever your skill may be. Stage hazards are in the same boat. FS is just hitting B to kill your opponent, that's not really fun, the animation is just cool.
I don't see any reason why Stamina should be more fun than stocks.
With 1v1's you have to read your opponent and use your skills to win. Obviously your trying to get better at the same time. Even without different characters and players each match can be pretty different.
If you want to play it like a party game that's fine, that doesn't mean that should be the only way to play. People want to play differently. I would greatly prefer if they got rid of "preferred rules" and just had a "for glory" and "for fun" mode like they did in Smash4
@@TheLegless101 I agree with Sakurai that there needs to be more casual tournaments with items and all stages. Nothing but the same one on one 3 stock battlefield gets boring to me.

how are you getting such good rulesets? All I'm getting is 1v1 omega stages with stocks even especially with preferred rules. All I ever wanted was timed team battles with pokeballs. -with fs meter of course-
