    Hey Guys, Pricing starts at $1150 cut-aways are available and they are called performer models on our website. We have just built a guitar without sides to prove that the body is virtually free of tension that distorts and tries to implode standard guitars.

    I find it hilarious that people comment about how they'd "buy a Martin" for the price of these....so...you'd buy a factory built guitar as opposed to what is effectively a custom built guitar? I think the onus is on the factory guitar to justify its cost, not the luthier that builds them in small numbers......

I bought an acoustic guitar locally and I have a hard time keeping tuned sometimes.I am a novice player, and my friends and I like to jam outside in the cooler months. Hey George, We have done extensive humidity testing. Our guitars are very good with humidity changes, we recommend that your guitar is maintained at 40%RH. All of our guitars ship with an inboard humidifier. Our guitar necks are extremely stable due to the solid design through to the 24th fret. If you are very concerned about humidity effects, we have done a "tour cure" where the entire inside of the soundbox is sealed as well. Let us know what you would like and I can put a deal together for you! email mike@RiversongGuitars.com

    So, being a guitar builder myself....Quick question...How do you keep the top from warping without any bracing? Wood shrinks over time...no matter how you treat it....So how did you fix the warping problem over time?

    • @RiversongGuitar
      @RiversongGuitar  10 лет назад

      The structure of our guitars is quite different. Wood does expand and contract however the warping over time is minimal as we can build our guitar system without sides. This shows how little tension is across the body, our sideless guitar is tuned to full tension and the top and back are very stable and free from deformation. Our early brace-less guitars have a very stable top. Come to the 2014 NAMM show and I will be happy to take you through our design!

      I have not yet bought it, but I suggest buying the Soulstice Deluxe Black color model in Hong Kong. The shop is called "Tom Lee music" and they are offering a discount, so I wonder whether I should buy it. I tried that guitar and the sound seems great. I am just a guitar beginner but I have difficulty playing because I have small hands.
      I have watched your video about how to re=assembly the guitar neck. May I know whether it can easily be done at home ?

    • @RiversongGuitar
      @RiversongGuitar  5 лет назад

      Woo Chatming the soulstice already has our fastest smallest neck profile. An easy change may be to use a capo on. The 2nd fret and retune so that the first position markers will line up. Of course anything is possible but the cost with shipping may be more then it’s worth. We do have a parlour guitar coming out that you could ask the great guys at Tom Lee about.

      @@RiversongGuitar Dear Mike, from your email address, I found that you are the inventor and founder of Riversong. I am very happy to hear from you directly, it is really my pleasure.
      I tried this guitar in a local shop today. One thing I notice from this guitar is that it has very smooth tone transition from G string to B/E string. It is much better than my own solid top guitar. It is a very notable difference.
      My hand is too small. For example, when I play F chord, it is very easy to either "dull" the sound of high E string or making "buzz" sound on A string. So a short finger board would be very useful for player like me.

    • @RiversongGuitar
      @RiversongGuitar  5 лет назад

      Woo Chatming alright, please request an additional neck from Tom Lee and I will respond to them with a cost. They will have to have there service team re and re the neck. Tom lee understands the importing costs and logistics for Hong Kong.

    guitars are wood and even as they are dead wood they still remain somewhat living organisms insofar as to how they react to temperature and humidity, as well as yanking forces that players exert on them. millions of beginners would have stuck with guitar and at least attained a lifetime of 4 chord therapeutic guitar joy if their guitar had this set-up system.

    Riversong is perhaps closer than ANY other Acoustic Guitar Manufacturer that I'm aware of, to an "ULTIMATE" Design ! You're about half of the way there, but it could be much better imo. It is still lacking several obvious KEY/crucial design aspects imo. I'm talking about an extreme minimalist architecture(although those particular features can be optional) as well as the inclusion of simple/intuitive yet absolute precision adjust-ability of EVERY single meaningful/important parameter related to functionality, Play-ability & Tone. ThE TRUE "Next-Level" Acoustic guitar(as they WILL eventually be). Don't worry, I don't have access to a wood-shop(or ANY capable facility). But I do plan on making a prototype somehow someday.

    Interesting approach, will watch to see how it pans out in future... often strong modifications to guitar bracing (tried and proven) develops distortions in time. But, some radical designs (like Ovation) proved OK. This is really radical. For what might be an important introduction video, you should have used a camera on a tripod and either done some serious practice on the zoom-ins, or edited some cuts for that... the camera does some sickening moves when full-screened. Best of luck!

      Hi Tt55, I’m sorry that you feel that way, I wonder what models you have tried, how old the strings were and how it was setup. These are all major factors on how a guitar sounds. We have been building for over ten years now and my most played guitar is from 2012 essentially same era as this video. 6 years later we have many models to choose from including our new Magagna that has amazing sound, dynamics, and touch response due to our new Skeletized bracing and double reaction bridges. My goal as a guitar builder/designer is to create an instrument that is balanced for volume, resonance, and sustain all over the fretboard. I welcome you to come to Kamloops and I will personally show you around, I am sure we can find a guitar that you will love.
