One of the most iconic Brits performances. Now, where's Bananarama's Lifetime Achievement Award?!
The audience is dead as a stone ... this is an amazing performance
...looking back, It's UNFATHOMABLE how ahead of it's time this performance was; It looks like a dress rehearsal for Madonna's "Blonde Ambition" Tour, circa 1991, and THIS, was from early 1988!! ..Some of the Male Dancers' moves were QUITE suggestive for the time, too (2:04)...Madonna's "Express Yourself" Music Video dancers did the VERY SAME MOVE! (cont.)
..As for the 'Nana's, they were at their most individualistic, in terms of style; Keren's chic NYC Girl look was adored, Sarah's 'Platinum Blonde Ambition' look was a shock, & Siobhan's retro-Euro vibe (w/ red hair) was VERY welcomed, before she left the Band....Classic 80's FUN, The Girls gave us, no!?
Madonna was a Bananarama Look a like back in the days.
You make this sound Victorian you should have seen what happened in the 60's nd 70's!!
@@ovalroom2 I don't think they have dancers dressed like this on the Cher Show or Streisand's TV Specials. But I'm not so sure about Raffaella Carrà performances.
Such a criminally UNDERrated band. I still listen to their music over 20 years later.
35 years later
Whaou.mes belles miss oh .je vous adore ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Underrated? They've sold 40 million albums 😂
As a Gen-Z someone who has just discovered them this week, I agree they're underrated but not in the 80s. I believe they were at the top back then.
Agree 110 % 😊
Absolutely iconic! The styling for this performance let alone the performance itself, is phenomenal!❤❤❤
Fantastic!!
Well played you ladies - really happy you have your own official RUclips channel - long-live the renaissance!
Fantastic performance, I love it, young, fantastic and beautiful.
But rushed also
STILL LOVING IN 2023 CAMP-TASTIC AND CAMP-A-HOY 🏳️🌈🏳️🌈🏳️🌈🏳️🌈🏳️🌈
Excelente época de los 90...

Beyond ❤
¡Preciosas!
歌番組でもほぼ同じような歌唱力で歌われていた記憶があります。当時、CDに近い歌唱力のアーティストさん、意外と少なかったので凄い方だったんだと思います。
Qué bellas 😍😍😍
Yes .very pretty
This is so 2020's... can't believe it
❤❤❤❤❤
Wow
male dancers in high boots and black speedos? WOW!
The eighties.😂👍
Their thigh high boots match those that Bananarama are wearing.
They are knee socks not boots but eh ho !
Queen Victoria must have turned in her grave.. those pants!
Male dancers with black underwears. OMG
Don’t think the dancers go the gym; unlike every second guy u see today. The boys those days have natural athletic bodies.
Back then steroids' weren't as widely available or used like now.
Professional Dancers need much more than Muscles... agility, endurance, somtimes speed, coordination...
Blindingly sexy costumes for B. ❤
When miming was accepted
What is the BPI?
British Phonographic Industry - their annual awards event is now called the Brits
The audience so stiff back in those days. And the direction was very….discreet.
Never could understand why Siobhan had to leave the group. They weren't fighting, they didn't have a fall out, everything was fine.
Something about the new material being too commercial
I agree tho
@@blackheartbev3098 Well, if that was one of the reasons, then I'll have to agree somewhat. I could never think material from Shakespears Sister would have made it to their next album. But with the benefit of hindsight, if they had stayed together, they would have moved on from SAW because the SAW sound was on the decline by middle of '89.
@@waimunyan7007 how is SAW on a decline ? Bananarama had just reach their peak of their careers and Siobhan was not 30 years old yet, there is a rumor about Dave Stewart trying to ruin Siobahn whatever the reason is and + she was having a baby. And the end was rushed just look at the way they rush back to the curtain. It looks like it's a honorable farewell but it's bad timing.
Siobhan should have never left the group
Siobhan was with Dave Stewart, lived mostly in LA and was having a baby. Said she grew out of the band. Besides that it was always the power duo Keren and Sara to compete. The two have a very deep bond, so it is hard for a third person to compete with it.
ONE of SAW finest 🏳️🌈🏳️🌈🏳️🌈🏳️🌈🏳️🌈🏳️🌈🏳️🌈🏳️🌈
I love Bananarama and MrPoopface
oh my... that guy's make me a gay.....ㅏ
ohhh parecen streppers los bailarines🙄
What a boring audience... Plus shame how guys look today. These guys here are flawless, no tatts, not roided up, etc... the 1980's were so iconic and awesome in every way possible.
Boring Crowd!
I love Bananarama and MrPoopface
I also love Bananarama 😍
