A Brief History of the Religious Bodies Census

The American Religious Ecologies project from the Roy Rosenzweig Center for History and New Media seeks to understand how congregations from different religious traditions related to one another by creating and visualizing new datasets using data from the U.S. Census of Religious Bodies. This introductory video provides a brief history of the United States Census of Religious Bodies, an overview of this project, and the goals we hope to gain from digitizing these census schedules.
