My wife and I watched your video many times before our trip to Banff, Lake Louise and Jasper last week. It became our GUIDE - - and we retraced your footsteps in the early morning hours to Moraine, Peyto and Pyramid Lakes. While my photos are a shadow of your quality, your video and stills were nothing short of inspirational. THANKS SO MUCH!!!
Grand stuff lads. Hiked a good piece of Banff and the Yoho 4 years ago. Can plalnly see the effort and planning and skill. Memories, Best Wishes, MacIntyre.
Thanks so much for your great video. I’m from Nottingham in the UK (Robin Hood country) I skied in Jasper in 2006. It’s such a beautiful part of the world and you took me right back there. Door to door it took us 27 hours in total so I’m not sure I will get round to going again. I really appreciated this, thanks again.
I see so many comments regarding love, but honestly these moving songs cause a wave of nostalgia and realisation in me. I remember as a kid, I thought love was going to be this amazing thing. Truth be told, I looked forward to growing up, to find the liberty of life and have someone to share it with. But now as a young adult, I find myself wishing to be a kid. Funny how that happens. As a child, you wish to grow older but once you realise what a disappointment it is, growing up, you start longing for the past.
What an amazing video you guys did....i hope one day i can go to that places too...todays this is just a dream from a modest brazilian photographer....but this is my dream and i’m focus on live in Canada with my family. Thanks for sharing this experiences with us! See you someday...
Fabulous video..was there in Sep 2013, BREATHTAKING scenery everywhere..never enough time here..Icefield Parkway, so beautiful, like you are driving in another world
After watching your movie, I am excited to see the Banff and Jasper in person. I will go this weekend, July 25, 2020. Thanks for your inspiring photos. Keep doing it.
Absolutely Amazing! I have wanted to go to the Canadian Rockies after seeing a pic of Sunwapta Falls. This video just made me want to go even more! Stunning photography!
Even though you guys were there in June 2017, I just ran across this video. Let me say first of all thank you for sharing your wonderful trip. My son and I will be camping in Banff & Jasper National Parks in late September - early October next year. Thanks for including the locations and Exif data for each picture posted. You guys did an excellent job!
Great job guys! I was there in early August and took a bunch of pictures with an Iphone and Android phone at the highest pixel settings. My pictures came out looking pretty amazing because the sun was out in full force every day! My pics from Bow Lake especially look like the waters in the South Pacific - Bow Lake to me was the Crown Jewel of my trip and the thirty + pics I took there eclipsed those of Lake Louise.
Super cool! Great job of putting this video capturing the natural beauty of the Rocky Mountains and the water. I also like that you provided the picture info of the camera setting. Mahalo for sharing!
I love your videos so much. You take me along on your adventure in such a way that there is no need for words. Beautiful music, beautiful scenery and beautiful photos. It lifts my spirit!
Wonderful locations. You have captured them very well. Great pleasure to watch your video. Thank You from an admirer in London. Looking forward to seeing some of these places in August 2019.
i love what i see from the beginning of this video , what a beautiful place ,, this video is so great . i did enjoying this video from the start to the end thanks for the video it was so realy nice ,, wacthing from Toronto i look into it how far from toronto , it is 1 day ang 14 hours to drive . its far to drive from here
I have no idea why in the hell I am crying but I am ... just amazing.. booked a trip there a few days ago and I cannot believe that I get to see this in person!!! Really well done video .
I went to every one of these places in May 2017 and again in September 2018. I am returning again in late May 2020 and am so excited by the prospect of being able to take much better photos than I have before due to my increased knowledge of photography and composition. Your video has given me such inspiration and I hope to be able to capture just a fraction of the quality of your images. Thank you for sharing your journey around Banff and Jasper, my favourite places in the world.
Hi, thank you and yes the exposure was that long since I was using a 10 stop ND filter. I wanted the long exposure to smooth out the water and also blur the clouds to show movement
Well if I didn't already want to go there, I sure would want to after watching this! Gorgeous photography ~ just lovely! Fabulous job on the video. This just popped up as a suggestion ~ will go see where else you have been.
Hopefully more people in the world can see these shots and know why we are trying to reduce our carbon footprint . So thousands of generations can continue to dream of actually seeing this majestic place
Great video! Do you mind sharing how you managed all these locations in 7 days? Would love to have some pointers to plan for my next trip there. Cheers!
Harpreet Singh sure. some of it is in the description, ie we did ~19-20hr days waking up at 4am most days and sleeping around midnight. that allowed us to catch every sunrise and sunset we could. we also went in June so the amount of daylight is really long. we also planned almost all of our spots before we even left for our trip and knew when we would hit each one. check our Darwin Wigget’s ebooks on the area, he’s got best times for each location. another thing we did was to stay in different hotels as we made our way up from Banff to Jasper(this minimized backtracking). hope this helps!
That was one of the best videos I have ever watched. We are going to Glacier-Waterton Peace park on August. Now maybe Banff jasper next year.....were all the roads open and cleared in June?
Wow, this is fantastic, I'm considering a trip with my kids in mid-June of this year. Nervous the lakes will still be frozen and impact that spectacular blue that one sees. May I ask specifically which dates in June you were there? Any opinion on that? And I welcome input from anyone in this forum.
Thanks for the nice comment Darlene! We were there from June 19-25th, 2017. obviously we lucked out and the lakes were thawed, but the timing varies from year to year depending on weather. here's a website about it. banffandbeyond.com/did-you-know-lake-louise-doesnt-thaw-until-june/
Your video and pictures are so beautiful, so pro. At the end of the video, both of you went sitting on the red chairs at the lake. How is that lake called?
@@brianjsue Thank you four your kindness to reply. I'll be making a trip to Jasper and Banff NP in the upcoming June and have been researching places to go in these areas, and your video helped tremendously. I hope to view more of your wonderful videos & pictures. Thanks for sharing.
Awesome! Ill be headed out there this summer in mid August! I will be creating content around Banff and Jasper for a week. Any recommendations? Im not too big with crowds during shooting so suggestions would be great
lucky you! we went in June, so most of the crowds weren't there yet. i've never been in August but heard it's the peak time to go to these parks, so I would recommend to go to your most important areas before sunrise or late after sunrise. you could also adjust your schedule during the day and visit areas when most people are having lunch or dinner. in terms of location, if you go to the really popular sites (esp those with easy access) they are going to be crowded. but if you hike even just a little you should be able to find areas all to yourself. granted they may not be the iconic spots, but still could be used to create great content.
