@@Sweetish An ice cold Trocadero is the perfect drink to have with a greasy pizza. After coca cola it is the number 1 drink sold at Swedish pizza places.
The fact that the sodas don’t taste like “regular” sodas, is because some of the stuff that are in American sodas are illegal here in Europe. We use a lot of natural ingredients. Like the Fanta is made from actual lemon juice, not a chemical that is supposed to taste like lemon. We also use real sugar instead of syrup. 😊
Champis is very popular when there’s a little more festive occasion. It’s often the kids drink at New Years for example. And Trocadero is my favorite drink. I usually call it “Livets dryck” which translates to “The drink of life”.
Fun fact: Many stores have Champis in giant glass bottles that looks just like a bottle of champagne and are (as many other have said) often used as an non alcoholic substitute. It looks the same and have the same cork so that it still shots out from the bottle. Btw, Trocadero is a combination of apple and oranges.
@@Sweetish He confuses it with Pommac another soft-drink in Sweden. Pommac got a mixture of Grapes and Raspberry were as Champis is a mixture of grapes and apple. They dont taste the same at all.
Läskedryck (or just "Läsk" for short, more commonly used) just means soda in Swedish. Trocadero is a soda that originated in Sweden in the 1950´s and is a personal favourite of mine together with Julmust.
Trocadero, also known as Troca,[1] is an apple and orange flavoured Swedish soda containing caffeine. It was launched in Sweden in the summer of 1953 by Saturnus AB in Malmö,[2] Sweden. Trocadero has been especially popular in Norrland, the northern part of Sweden, and has therefore been called the "national beverage of Norrland".[2][
I wonder if the reason why they thought Trocadero tastes like cinnamon is because it contains apple flavor. Since cinnamon and apples are a common combo in the US, perhaps there is a strong association between those two tastes?
I bought a Trocdero for my current partner the first time we ate pizza together. She drank half without saying she hated the taste. Today I know she wants Coca cola Zero 😂
I donno about that. It's list of ingredients include, aside from apple juice and orange juice, unspecified "aromas" which could be almost anything. There is a hint of spice in the flavor profile that I don't see how it could come from the juices and I don't think it's the caffeine either... caffeine has a rather one dimensional bitter flavor
Its still verry weird to me. Why woud you drink soda to meat and pasta. To me that combination sounds awfull. Thats equivalent to drink Dr Pepper to a cheesesandwich. Propably normal in america.
Trocadero is sometimes called Norrlands cola (Norrland is the northern part of Sweden). It's made of apples and oranges and has caffine in it.
Oh, awesome! Thanks so much!
Yes so true!
@@Sweetish An ice cold Trocadero is the perfect drink to have with a greasy pizza. After coca cola it is the number 1 drink sold at Swedish pizza places.
What is even more amazing is that Trocadero Zero is also the best sugar free variant of a major soda flavor.
