Americans Trying Swedish Sour Candy| Sweetish Candy Tasting
You chose Arvid Nordqvist coffee? One of the cheaper brands that taste like yesterday's brew warmed over. We don't buy it even if there is a good bargain any longer. Not worth it. Löfbergs or Zoega are part of the standard brands that are waaay better. The Löfberg "Coffee Lover's Organic" and Zoega's "Fika" and "Västkust" are my favs. An often forgotten fact is that the water is immensely important for the taste. Swedish brands have different tastes due to different local water quality. If they made Nordqvist with american clorinated and flourinated water, I imagine it tasted like the back of a monkey.
Probably my favorite candy. But it's not particularly salty, at least not compared to many other salt liquorices. Try Svenskävlar, for example.
Trocadera and Pommac are my favourites 😀👍🏻
Don’t know how I came to this clip, but didn’t he say something like ”so the flavor in this is coffee” about the swedish one?
It's a little late, maybe, but you are supposed to shake the "Pucko" before opening, otherwise all the cocoa will be at the bottom. When I have it, I turn the bottle upside down and shake vigorously until there is no dark brown spots left at the bottom. Then I know it's well mixed.
Champis was created as a drink to replace wine during prohibition. There is also pommac and other drinks that came up for that reason. Raally good with spicy sausages. Fanta is german not swedish.
❤❤❤
The fact that the sodas don’t taste like “regular” sodas, is because some of the stuff that are in American sodas are illegal here in Europe. We use a lot of natural ingredients. Like the Fanta is made from actual lemon juice, not a chemical that is supposed to taste like lemon. We also use real sugar instead of syrup. 😊
Swedish soft drinks has less sugar as well!
Are you kidding? Coffee is bitter? What? Thats so MERICA to say. Wow.. USA drink corn-sugar and ADD some coffee. Wow. I actually feel sorry for you. Go visit poland or the Scandinavium
I am currently in Denmark eating these and looked up this video cause I had 0 clue what I was eating 😂
The secret to good coffee is to go far over the line what is usually the measure of x amount of cups. When there's a bitter taste it's because there's not _enough_ coffee. Or you can go the other way and have less coffee and you get less bitter taste but there's also not as much coffee taste obviously which I'd say is the standard. A good ratio is 3 to 1. I also run it through an extra time which makes quite a big difference. And also a coffee maker that can get the water really hot. Used to have an old coffee maker from the 1970's which made insanely hot water and the coffee was glorious. Not the best safety wise though.
American coffe is so weak, like you take swedish coffe half the cup, and water the other!
Brasilian coffe in Brasil or in Portugal is the best!
Interesting concept and u did a good reaction, ty. Be safe all
I am safe. I own a tank.
Swedish coffee is strong. Only Finland drinks more coffee than us. Many don't drink it with sugar or milk. I do, however, drink it with oatmilk. My favorite Swedish brand is Löfbergs Lila. It is not too strong and more balanced. The one Swedish brand i dislike the most is Gevalia. It is made for iron stomachs and makes your breath smell like a dookie. Everytime I've tried it i get stomach ache.
Looks like you do🙄
No Coffee in Sweden is drinkable. Neither in USA. Both are watery percolated light brown liquids that do not give coffee a god name. Espresso is the real thing. Coffee should be consumed in small quality amounts, not guzzling down in enormous big mugs squelching a thirst, for that we have water. Learn from the Italians and other connoisseurs how to consume this great drink. Quality not quantity. Just saying.
"Just saying"? Pfff... who cares?
Wait, you only tried the lighter colored one in the first which was milk chocolate... then tried the SAME ONES again for the second bag, and never tried the dark chocolate ones in the first one? Jikes. And you're supposed to sell these?
American coffee is blasé .
I like using "tinier" over "smaller" for some reason
Swedish chips among the best in the world! 😋
Your coffee test is very poorly done and only shows that you do NOT know coffee, because you do not show how you have boiled the coffee and what type of brewer you have used, because it affects the taste a lot and how high the temperature of the coffee is exactly when it is ready brewed .nor if you have used pre-ground coffee or whole beans. Then the water quality is very important, because if you are going to get good or bad coffee. Because all of this is of great importance to get good and tasty coffee. Take the Coffee Maker, it must have 9 drip holes for the water to come out, so that the water hits all the coffee that is in the filter. (a hole means that the water only hits the coffee in the middle), the time the coffee should boil is a maximum of 6 minutes, the temperature of ready-brewed coffee should be between 80-85 degrees Celsius. You must grind the coffee from whole beans and not use pre-ground coffee, because when you grind from whole beans, you get fresh coffee every time, pre-ground coffee loses its flavor after 2 days as the air affects the coffee. The coffee beans should be stored in the refrigerator to retain the flavor. Then the water quality is very important, depending on where you live, you have additives in the water and you should not think about using American tap water. You should use filtered water that has run through activated carbon, as it removes all additives including lime. The water should be refrigerator cold. I am 1000% sure you have not done any of this or used the correct brewer. Because I guarantee you that even if you use the same brand of coffee, the difference in taste is just like night and day. If you do it the way I described above and use the same brand of coffee but pre-ground, as well as a bad coffee maker and unfiltered water. As well as type of brewer. So your coffee test is a joke.
Caffeine is an insecticide which causes anxiety and leukemia. If you must drink coffee, drink decaffeinated coffee.
Damn Arvid Nordquist coffee....i understand that you dont like it . A very special roast , taste like they use a lot of Arabica beans into it . I would say a short taste coffe and then something very...almost dry taste . Try another brand ...and go dark roast , if you brew it , only take like 5/6 spoons out of 10. A good coffee machine...and i promise that you will löve it 👍
Why even ask the question? The answer is so obvious it doesn’t even need to be investigated. American coffee is known world wide to be undrinkable by anyone who has ever tasted real coffee. The reason for American coffee being so weak, bland and bad is historical and dates back to World War Two when restricted imports made the manufacturers mix the coffee with substitutes. This weak mixture became so synonymous with coffee that American coffee still made to taste like the weak and bland mixture from the 40’s.
Gevalia is the most known and popular coffee in Sweden. It is from the town of Gävle, there are towns in the US founded with names meaning Gävle in ''american'', Galva I think... there are three of them and they are in Illinois, Iowa and Kansas if I am not wrong. The one in Illinois is a vänort to Gävle, loosely translated to friendship town.
Wouldn't drink Gevalia if i got it for free! So much scandals around that company and the Coffey doesn't taste good anyway! Zoega ftw!
Thanks for the reaction!!
Next: Swedish bandy vs Us bandy. Which is better?
The Swedish coffee you tried is my favorite, however like was said during the reveal, it is medium/dark. You should probably have used Gevalia Mellanrost for your test as it is the most popular medium roast here.
The thing with coffey is that it is that the water is inportant for example some swedish coffey bradns do not taste good in my region of south Sweden Skåne so we often drink Zoegas Skånerost (Scandia roast) and for example Löfbergs lila works best in the province of Värmland. And it looked like youve got a cheeper coffey brand to taste.
Yeah Zoegas ftw!
Arvid Nordquist är inte ett billigt märke.
American and Swedish coffee sucks both. More like brown colored water tasing of nothing so this discussion is waste of time. Wanna taste real coffee - come to Denmark.
Nothing can go wrong with a "Pucko".
Coffee should taste bitter :P
Fika means Coffee, it's a slang term reversing the syllables, Kaffe (or Kaffi) -> Fika. Many think it's including the buns and other sweet stuff, and while it can, it's not required. The term mainly means the time off when you take a break and talk with others nowadays
FYI fellow friendly Amerikans, Turkish Pepper is the Boss-level. I love it as a Swede!
salty liquorice... omnomnom! you guys are amazing. love from Stockholm💙💛
Agave/lime still water… With real agave chunks.
I like chewing it.
Wild not being able to taste the difference. Never gotten anything in the US that didn't taste like watered down horse piss. 🤢
lol Sweden name a candy after me by my name with a p so Pilar 😂
we got those sour pink and blue cola bottles in finland too but they are only in a mixed bag and I'd love a couple kg box of them. :D edit. I also have no idea what the flavor is supposed to be but I freaking love it.
A non-Scandinavian NOT hating on liquorice? Am I dreaming? 🤣🤣🤣 You're awesome! Love from Stockholm 💙💛
Löv från Stockholm 🥰
You guys are so much fun! Loved This video 😂
I wonder if the reason why they thought Trocadero tastes like cinnamon is because it contains apple flavor. Since cinnamon and apples are a common combo in the US, perhaps there is a strong association between those two tastes?
There is no coffee in the US - just brown tinted water...
Haha. Correct.
Swedish standard coffee, Strong and black 🇸🇪
US "coffee" tastes like burnt tea......
If i remember coretlty the fw flawor is äpple or apel
Koffe. You need coffe!
Trocadero Without sugar is even better.
