Please keep your original video.. it's great resource for people like me. Thank you for your very easy to understand explanation and smooth clear voice.
Shout out to heros like this that make these videos out of the kindness of their hearts and help us musicians grow as a whole rather than keep it to themselves. Great stuff. We appreciate this! Cheers!
+Robert Andre' haha, thanks means a lot
+Robert Andre' haha, thanks means a lot
Yesssss thank you!!
The clear simplicity of your demo is most welcome. Well done!
+John Carrod that's what I was going for, haha cheers
Five years later and this is STILL the only vid I find that helps with what and how to connect it. Thanx dude! Your kind is truly needed!
4 years later.. still a great video! Thank you! I just unboxed mine, and I am BRAND new to this stuff! Got one to loop my handpan! Thanks again! 🙏
I saved this video for a later date. I'm going to pick up the Boss RC-30 when I get back home from work. Thanks for making this video because I'll be an absolute beginner with this machine. Can't wait to try it out.
As everyone else has already said in the comments, I really appreciate your simple tutorial. I've had my RC-30 for months but kept psyching myself out to learn it because it seemed so complicated...when it's really not that bad!
Thanks, that's exactly what I was hoping for :)
That beats the shit out of reading the manual, which I did, and obviously didn't soak it up.... thanks.
No problem :)
Oh my gosh yessss...
This was super easy to follow along with! Thanks for taking the time to do this!
Thanks Harry. Bought mine last Saturday and managed to loop, dub, add an effect and stop but everything else like changing channels and stopping one channel or even getting the rhythm thing going (without which timing was random) was like some dark art. Finally the light goes on ... a picture, or in this case video, is worth a thousand words so thank you again for posting and keep up the good work. ;)
No problem :)
Nice one mate! I pretty much decided to get this thanks to your tutorial. Keep up the basic tutorials! Saved me anyway
P.S. I hope BOSS is paying you for all this ! ha
Haha, no my channels no where near big enough to get sponsored yet but I maybe one day!
THAAAANKYOU - was beginning to lose the will to live with mine...this is very helpful :-)
+Jack Bennett no problem
LOLOL.. laughing with you not at you. Oh my gosh I feel the same
Thanks for this , I'm new to loopers and trying to decide which to get but was clueless on how they work. This is the best demo I've seen , answered a ton of questions.
+Frank Quarracino cheers, glad I could help
At last, a clear demo without the egotistical playing! Thank you
Hey man, awesome tutorial. This is the first video (that I've seen) that actually explains how to move between channels and record on each! Thank you so much!
No problem man didn't see this comment, cheers for checking out the video!
Thanks so much for that Harry. Brilliant simple demo of the basics. I've got mine today, and was baffled. Many thanks.
You are awesome - thank you so much for this tutorial that actually shows you how to use the pedal. It's the first RC-30 tutorial video I've come across that actually does that. Much appreciated!
+stephcaseymusic NZ No problem :) I had the exact same problem when i got mine and had to try and work it out so i thought I'd try to help other people avoid that!
Nice job.
This is the only practical entry-level tutorial I've been able to find.
All the others seem, at best, to be preaching to the converted, or, at worst, just showing off.
You gave me all of the answers I couldn't get from the other videos.
Reckon I'll be gigging with this a lot earlier than I thought, courtesy of your good self. Cheers.
+Steve O'Grady thanks mate that was exactly what I was trying to help people with, when I got mine the first place I went was RUclips and I couldn't find anything that explained it clearly! Thought I'd try to help
The 'point' of the video as I see it, you absolutely provided and well!! Thank you. i could careless about the tuning, the point of your video was met and well done! Thanks for the time you put in to make this video.
Great demo Harry. Just got mine and can't wait to use it. All the best mate!
Great tutorial been looking for a basics one for ages! Thanks again was really helpful!
Dude! I just bought an RC30 today and was struggling to get my head round using it even with the manual 😂
This tutorial is ace. Sorted me out within minutes. Nice one
No problem mate
Best tutorial I've seen on this pedal. Thank you!
Thanks. You cleared up one small thing for me. By the way, to change time signatures, it's not hard. There are only two choices: 4/4 and 3/4. Just hold down the "type" button.
Ok cool Thanks for watching the vid :)
Thank you so much!! One of the absolute best tutorial I've found online! Found it so fast too, this was a GREAT help! Awesome track too btw! Wish you ALL the best!
first thing to do before you start is what sammy said (too get it to work normally) : u have to change the setting by unplugging the lead (L/mono) output that goes to amp. Then hold down the tap/ tempo button and plug lead back in ( therefore powering back up). It will say “rd”. Press arrow up so it says “rP” . Then press tap tempo button to set it. Prob solved! It’s on a default demo setting.
This was super helpful holy crap. All those other tutorials and stuff made it so hard to understand but damn it is pretty easy. Thanks.
Thanks, i really struggled to find a video explaining it when I got mine and ended up reading the manual for hours. That's why i thought I'd make this video, thanks for watching :)
never thought i'd hear a streets cover in a pedal demo. this rules.
Thanks for the video. I have just changed from the RC3 to RC30 and this is very useful. Cheers!
God bless ya Harry! Thank you for that. You saved my ass today. I was going crazy trying to work it all out & this was by far the best tutorial
Indeed... Best I've found too.
Cheers Harry, my RC-30 has just arrived today, got a real bargain, as it only cost £50.00 second hand. I'll be definitely coming back to your tutorial to find my way around this piece of kit. You've made life a lot more easier for a dinosaur like me. Keep up the good work!
Excellent demo...really good introduction as I was looking to buy a looper but didn't know which one to get!
Thanks man, glad I could help :)
Thank you so much for this fantastic tutorial. I will be watching it over and over until I have it down :)
THANK YOU SO MUCH! My new looper has been sitting unused because I was struggling to learn it. This has been super helpful so thank you! x
Perfect, just what I needed, just picked mine up and started with your tutorial. Helpful.
+Barn Yard thanks
Mad helpful. Thank you so much for making this video! I get impatient trying to figure these things out, so I appreciate this video as a base. 100 times thank you!
+Olivetreetis haha no problem, thanks for checking out my video, I might start doing some actual recording tutorials on my channel if ur into that so keep an eye out :)
thx man! am just about to get a looper and haven't used any before. This was very helpful to get a first idea of how it works and what to do with it.
No problem!
Great information to get myself started. Thank you for keeping it simple. Easy to understand. Now to put to use. Rock ON.... and keep sharing
thanks mate very helpful just ordered one as a novice guitarist it looks fun cheers
Fantastic demo Harry, I've just bought the RC 30 and as you say the instruction out there isn't up to much. Im going to be putting a Harmonica as well as a Guitar through Mine Im assuming I do pretty much what you have said ?. Anyway please do some more tutorials really good mate, Thanks you've helped me out already Cheers Frank Dav
+Frank Davenport I wouldn't know too much about a harmonica but u would assume so yep, and if you like subscribe and I'll be doing more tutorials in the future!
Great video--I watched the update too, and I actually find this one clearer!
Awesome!!! thanks for that, i'd been trying to figure out how to use the second channel, nice one!
Exactly what a demo should be like. Thank you very much!
Thanks so much for posting this. I got mine for Christmas and this video helped a lot!
No problem :)
Thanks for a no bullshit no ego tutorial, not a lot of these nowadays
Thank you! Videos that are this clear and informative are rare!
Can’t wait to get mine! Ed Sheeran has inspired me to loop with guitar super excited
Thank you so much! I finally got one of these for Christmas 2020 but here I am in march 2021, still too scared to approach it! 🤣 I have ADHD and I am autistic so I really struggle to read and follow instructions, or figure shit out for myself and this has helped me so so much! Thanks again! 😁💜👌🏼
Glad it helped! :)
Awesome same as Jacks comment it's been in it's box for 2 YEARS!
+Jen Whittington no problem :)
super helpful man - starting my rc 30 journey!
+Versus The Wake no problem
Thank you so much for this!! I am just learning to use this pedal with my Handpans......your tutorial really helped :)
Thank you Harry, very helpful. Clearly explained .
Thanks for the simple explanation dude. I️m gonna buy one of these soon but want to get informed before I do.
Thanks Harry! Really helpful tutorial.
Thank you so much. It makes sense and helps a lot.
This video is extremely helpful! THANK YOU!
Thanks, great video but when i start to record sound from amp is sometimes getting shy and the how it was before how to fix it ?
Great basics demo.
Thanks :)
This video was super helpful, thank you very much!
Hi mate thank you so much for this it's very informative. I've just bought one and it's a lot better to run through as you have than to struggle with the instructions.
Thanks again.
Bob.
THIS WAS A GREAT TUTORIAL.....I WOULD LIKE YOU TO DO THE 'NEXT STEP DEMO'-INCLUDING HOW YOU CAN HEAR THE CLICK TRACK WITHOUT IT GOING THROUGH THE AMP ( I COULDNT HEAR IT WHEN I PUT THE PHONES DIRECTLY INTO THE LOOPER)-YOUR GOOD...MORE!
Wow man i had my nose close to the laptop screen . Those feet man .... Seriously great demo much appreciated . Thanks
+Ufoman haha no problem
Thank you . GREAT explanation, & guide. GREAT Job !
Brilliant - thanks for saving me a butt load of time!
I'm thinking about this pedal myself, I was thinking about the rc3 but this seems so much better, don't think I will need the rc300 lol, but amused rc30 is a nice buy I'm thinking
Yoo this is really helping me out here, thanks.
thank you so much... this is going on the Christmas list
Haha, I got mine last christmas, it's great fun.
Awesome Beginner tutorial man!! thanks so much!!
Really useful Tutorial mate nice one
helped me out mate.live long and prosper good chap.
Haha thanks man
Thanx Harry just what I needed for my new toy... :)
Thank you. Very good introductory tutorial!
can u help me? I just bought one and it seems like it's working fine. the only thing is that I don't hear any sound from my amp. I have connected everything correctly. what did i miss?
I don't know it's hard to tell, Check all volumes are up (Sliders and Mic inputs if your using one) and check you are definitely plugged into all the right ports, other than that maybe check you cables and power supply, thats all I can think of hope it helps!
thanks man, that one helped me really much
Thanks, really helpful video.
Socks could use some colour though. Minus points for the socks.
Will try harder next time :)
Quick & to the point. Thanks!
Thanks Dude, really helpful demo :)
Really good!
that was very useful thanks for that only got today now i know how to use it
no problem :)
How do you clear what you have done
Just press the delete button twice
Thanks bud! Really good explanation!
no problem
This is such a helpful video! I've just started using a loop pedal - what do you think of my attempt?
one of the best features is the AU (auto start) recording on note detection.
Cheers buddy
I've got a Boss RC30 Loop Station, 2 recording Mics, Acoustic Amp and Acoustic Guitar. A huge fan of Ed-Sheeran and his looping techniques.
While playing RC-30, if I'm on Track1 and I've recorded multiple layers on it + I'm in the middle of the song, I want to clear the Track1 completely using Pedals, not the small button, is it possible?
I understand there is a down arrow button on Rc-30 and we can press it twice to clear/reset the track. But pressing that button while playing the song and wearing shoes as well is not possible.
I also understand if I'm track1, and start loop1, then over that - loop2, then over that loop3. Finally, if I press left paddle for 2 sec, it deletes loop2 and loop3 but keeps loop1 going. I want to get rid of loop1 too.
Any help would be appreciated.
As far as I know you can't delete a full loop without deleting both channels, and the only way to do that is by holding the delete button. By holding the left pedal you just undo your most recent overdub. it's possible that you might need a higher end looper to do this or possibly adding the additional foot switch might give a little more control?
Found the answer - You can always clear a channel by holding the right pedal down and pressing the left. Then you can record a new track over that.
Demo - At 5:40 of this Video- ruclips.net/video/nsmApiFLaFo/видео.html&lc=z23deb2gsubuib3zb04t1aokg3qrim0h2qze33sklfoubk0h00410.1529464285452051 shows how to do that.
thank u for this video!!! really helpful!
+tbh no problem :)
Cheers Harry hopefully I will get some sound out of my amp now lol
My G
Thank you but... tune that f..... guitar! ;)
I know I've had a few comments saying that, Was just quickly demoing the pedal so wasn't really concentrating on that! Thanks for checking out the video though!
Marco Piovan how can he not hear how out of tune it is lmao
I know right lol
Hey Harry don’t worry about these 2 wankers great video
@@1963murf Totally agree. Who gives a shit about the guitar tuning. Thanks for taking the time to make this Harry! Haters gonna hate and need to get a life.
I was thinking of getting a Boss 300, but since I’ve never used a looper before and it’s over 500 dollars, looks like this would be perfect. A single looper to me is a little too limited. Thnx
thank you, it's very helpful!
Thanks yes so can you move from one channel to another by pressing the button while playing. And what is the R push button mostly for? Thanks I'll watch again.
Thanks for the demo
Very cool tutorial. Thanks for taking the time to explain. Much better than the directions.
Magic. Thank you.
Hi Harry, I was hoping that a few years later that you might have had some experience with an RC-300 or 600 or a RC-505. I love the simplicity of my RC-30. The others are a menu headache. You might have a 600 these days and was hoping that it would be simple like the RC-30. Can you comment on these please ? THX
Well done.... I've been playing with my RC 30 looper for a while.... always had hassles sussing out how to start one off properly. I cant seem to get my head round why it carries on recording after hitting stop the first time. maybe you could elaborate a bit more on that part. But a good informative video. cheers buddy.
+Rob F no problem, it's basically in overdub mode then so you can add over the top, you can still stop it by pressing it twice quickly
Very helpful. Thank you!
Excellent
Great tutorial! Saved me HOURS of time not reading the manual! Excellent job!
+Bill Campbell no problem :)
