A business where you have complete location freedom.
One where you can go on vacation and login anywhere in the world.
In this video, I’ll take you through the key steps to make this a reality, drawing on my 10 years of experience running my own remote cleaning business.
Watch until the end to see how I use VAs to run my remote cleaning business, meaning that I only need to work 2-hours a week in the business.

No problem Jay, happy to help. Best of luck getting started :)
so valuable! thank you. can you make a video about commercial cleaning 101? bidding, hiring subcontractors and questions to ask, contracts, paying them, supplies, how to find contracts, etc. thank you so much!
Will do. In the mean time, this video - 5 ways to win commercial contracts - might be helpful for you. ruclips.net/video/xmQRtmOlF4Y/видео.html

@EvolveLT are you doing it online through a Service or on your own?
excellent
Thanks Darren 👍
Thanks for sharing your knowledge! I subscribed and liked!

Ok bro. You know I have to ask. If remote cleaning is so good, why the course, RUclips channel and a marketing agency now?
No problem, completely fair question! I love starting businesses so my aim was always to have a collection of different businesses which is why I added in online education and marketing into the mix as well. All have their different challenges and I love the variety.
Hi Sean, What CRM would you recommend that can be used to capture and follow up with all your leads from your website, has reminder emails and texts option and all that. What are some of the options please
High Level is the one I would recommend. This video should help - ruclips.net/video/TkmRgbITXeg/видео.html
How would you handle quality control and make sure the cleaner is doing a good job? Im thinking of doing this in the commercial space.
We send out rating / review emails to all our clients post job
Hi Sean, awesome video. I’m starting a remote commercial cleaning business in North Carolina - is it still reasonable to request the clients provide a vacuum/mop and bucket? Thanks!
Commercial is a slightly different beast to residential. Generally the client should have the heavy duty equipment (vacuums, floor cleaners etc) on site.
Thanks Sean! One more thing if you don't mind.. since I won't be doing walk throughs with clients, I'm thinking of doing a virtual walk through instead. Is this necessary to gain new clients? Thanks! @@sean_parry
Hi Sean. Thanks for all the great information. Do you ever have cleaners steal your clients and work with them direct? Do they sign a non compete?
It has happened but thankfully very rarely. Yes, you want to have a non-compete in your contract but to be honest it's difficult / costt;y to enforce this. Generally we use it as a deterrent. The main thing we keep an eye on is if a cleaner's availability reduces down significantly and this coincides with recurring client "losses" then this is a pretty good indication that the clients are going "direct" with the cleaners
Good to know. Thank you Sean!

@@sean_parryWhat do you do in such intences?
@@pierre3215 Yes, as I stated in my initial response at the top of this thread
What type of insurance do you need to have? And do you NEED an LLC? Also do you have an example of a website you have? Thank you
Ideally you'd set up a LLC but you can work as a 1099 to begin with if you just want to try it out. Obviously you should speak to a local accountant to get the specific requirements of your state. And yes, my cleaning company website is www.neatservices.co.uk
I really love your business plan. I am so interested in learning more or getting a coaching session with you as I begin my own cleaning business.
Please, how do I get a hold of your services?

@@Msbliss101 Worth checking out some of the cleaning business facebook groups
@@sean_parry any suggestions of good ones to join?
question, how much do you charge? and what are you're payment splits with your contractors
We price off a labour cost %. Generally we aim to pay 50% of our revenue to our cleaners. This video might help you - How To Price Cleaning Jobs? - ruclips.net/video/kpE4sW99FYI/видео.html
Hi , do you think this is can be done in the uk? Especially with the apps you mentioned ?
Yes, I'm actually based in the UK :)
Do the cleaners have to have general liability insurance? So The cleaners need to have their own vehicle and cleaning products but the client provides the vacuum, mop and bucket? Won’t some clients like to have the cleaners to come with vacuums?
Yes, some clients like cleaners to provide the equipment but we wouldn't take those clients on.
How do you get an idea of what people are willing to pay for cleanings in your market? How do you find cleaners who will be okay with making less than this market rate so you can make your middle fee.
You want to call around your competitors to get an idea of pricing. But generally, the goal is to charge a high price by focusing on on a high quality service (find clients that value quality over price) so that you can pay your cleaners at the top of the market (so you can retain and more easily attract new recruits)
Question, with the payment processor and the booking system. Would I need stripe + launch 27 .. Or will the booking software already have a payment processor integrated with it? Can you clarify how that works?
Yes the scheduling software will have Stripe integrated in it.
Hi Sean. Do you recommend the coaching programe for me as Im based in UK and want to set something up here? I say that because alot of your RUclips videos are aimed at the US market. Thanks
Yep, I'm actually based in the UK, although many of my students are in US
Super. Thats good to hear!
How do you decide if you're giving someone a w2 or 1099? Does 1099 lower the liability?
Generally 1099s give you more flexibility as you phase out poor performers more easily than W2s. But there are limitations eg you can't train 1099S, put them in uniforms etc - so if you're hiring 1099s you need to make sure you're hiring people with the necessary experience.
One can have the best intentions, you cannot predict a stranger who works for you "CODE of CONDUCT" if you get the wrong person who is unreliable or a Theft, you're responsible.
Correct. You can't completely eliminate this risk but by running background checks, multi step interviews etc then you can mitigate it to a degree,
I have a question how do you bypass google verification for setting up your business on google
You can't really "bypass" the verification - and I would advise against it ideally
I am from Australia perth city. Is it good having a gims cleaning franchise or start your own ? Thanks
Generally, I'd advise against buying a franchise as the monthly fees will really eat into your profit.
@@sean_parry Thanks for your reply, as I have no experience what, should I do?,thanks

Hi Sean, first of all I would like to thank you for all of the GEMS you are dropping in your videos. I just started my LLC for my remote cleaning business and opened a business bank account and I am working on my logo and website right now as well. I was wondering if there is a way you can help me speed up the process with some 1 on 1 mentorship via email, video call etc?

Hi Sean, thank you this is very insightful! How do you find clients and what’s the process between offering your cleaning services and providing them?
@@detoxchnnl4275 This video should help you - 5 Best Marketing Channels For Your Cleaning Business - ruclips.net/video/JYWAMS4-Wwc/видео.html
Do you find clients first and then hire or hire and then find clients?
Get your marketing channels set up first (eg set up Google LSA, Bark / Thumbtack profiles), hire your first cleaner then hit launch on your marketing.
is a referral cleaning agency the same as a remote cleaning service
A referral agency uses contractors 1099s. A remote cleaning company can use 1099s or W2 employees.
Do you provide cleaning supplies and equipments to cleaners?Or, cleaner get their cleaning supplies to the site? Please give your valuable feedback. Thanks.
Yes, cleaners manage their own cleaning products (we pay them extra to pay for these and manage them). All equipment (vacuum, mop, bucket etc) are provided at the client's premises (we require clients to provide these)
How do you keep the standard of good cleaning ? What if cleaners use some cheap cleaning product which lowers the standard of your company? How do you know the cleaners not over charging you for the product? What percentage of money you receive in between client and the cleaners?
Thank you for your expert opinion . I really want to open my own business. Any recommendation is appreciated.
@@robiulkabir5225 Lots of questions here that I could talk for hours about! But the most important one is about how to maintain quality. All our jobs (and cleaners) are rated by our clients post job via an automated rating request email sent to clients. As we use contractors, we give our top rated cleaners the pick of the jobs so top performers benefit most.
How does it work for a businesses insurance if you’re having someone else working for you driving between jobs? Would an accident be your responsibility, or the cleaner’s responsibility?
Just wondering if there’s a difference between hiring independent subcontractors vs actual employees.
Thanks for your help! I am just starting to learn!
Great question. Where I'm based (in the UK), we're covered for this type of accident by our company insurance. But you want to specific to a lawyer / accountant / insurance broker in your specific location to clarify this point.
Do your VAs use scripting? If so what factors/questions would you say amount to the best outcomes when it comes to closing.
Generally this is the approach - 1) answer specific questions / concerns the clients have, 2) talk about the quality of your service and how you're different, 3) reveal the (high) price - which is hopefully justified by point 2.
@@sean_parry thank you 😊 screenshot taken lol
What stops the cleaners from making a private deal directly with the client?
It does happen but generally less common that you'd think. If you think this is happening (by tracking client cancellations and cleaner availability changes), then you limit (or stop) the number of new jobs that cleaner gets.
How do you receive payments from customers?
Card payment via our online scheduling software
More info please
Sure, let me know if you if have any specific questions
What has been you maximum profit done in a whole year with your business?
Because im guessing you are heading down consulting after running this business for a few years, correct.
We net around 15% profit margin on 7+ figures revenue each year. And yes I also do consulting.
@sean_parry Question for you how could I conduct some research to see if there is a potential high Market in my Area to get up to those figures?
@@Undecentralized I've know plenty of 7 figure cleaning businesses in locations with sub 100k population. So I'd be checking out your local population. And if there are franchises in your area as well then you know there's a sufficiently large market.
Awesome video. Subbed and liked the video. BTW, I sent you an email!
OK thanks
