@@RaitisRides Thank you Joe! Man I have always thought the F Type Jag to be the most perfectly designed, perfect curved sports car on the planet. Just 20 seconds in and my comment was already published and then I sat back and waited for two things. One was I wasn't quite sure of the current price so I always like to guess before you say it (my guess was $90k) lol, and Two, to watch you go on DAMN THROTTLE! The twisty bits are my favorite because having owned 4 camaros and a Vette, I vividly remember the Camaro I liked better because it had the right amount of weight and I don't know exactly what Chevy does to the Camaro but the 4 I owned had zero body roll. I could take a curve at 70mph and it would hold and lower itself to the road and you just felt in control. Dangerous way to think but I made sure no other cars were anywhere around me and especially the day I said I have to go for it fast and furiously and so I found interstate that was completely void of any other traffic and I proceeded to see how fast I could get it. At 155mph the needle still appeared to be rising when I got my fix and I then came to my senses and backed off. Man this was a great review and one I shall never forget. That is my number one favorite so perfectly designed with the right curves and by the way there is a reason why sports cars and vehicles for that matter no different than an hourglass figure, curves are indeed beautiful when they are made and created to be as such💯👍🙏 Take care and I wish you and Lori a very safe and Merry Christmas!

I doubt Jaguar wanted to do EV’s given that the I-Pace was a sales slump, but BlackRock/WEF is forcing it across the board and the UK is putting out laws, so TATA has no choice but to go with the flow as Jaguar is produced in England. It’ll likely lead to brand collapse.

The SVR is also louder and has a few mechanical differences. I was debating an SVR before picking up the 2023 but ended up just going with the 2023 R because you get the warranty, open from grill, and updated internals compared to the older models.

I have owned a XKR, XFR, XJR and F Pace R, all of them have been great, no issues. Build quality is pretty good, tech kind of sucks but the driving experience is just awesome. I bought all of them a few years old and the depreciation makes them a great deal. I currently have a Panamera, F Pace and Boxter 718S, Porsche build quality is much better but the driving experience of the Jags cannot be beat. For the most part all the hate comes from people that have never owned a Jag within the past 10 years. Great review.

I'm a Jag owner as well, and I've just learned to ignore the hate from people. I have an 05 XJ Vanden Plas which I got as my first car 2 years ago and it's been incredible. Anyway, the hate comes from people who don't understand Jags and give into stereotypes. 99% of people I come across only have nice things to say about Jag in person so, it's just the internet being the internet. It's great to find other Jag fans and owners in these comment sections.

      @dlj1285 9 месяцев назад

This. For anyone who actually cares to know the truth, they will find in their research that these latest F-types are worked out and reliable.
Every jag video will have a bunch of uninformed Internet bandwagon echo chamber clowns posting their crap. They likely can’t afford these vehicles to begin with, have no real knowledge of moderns Jags, and get their jollies off spreading nonsense.
Let this reality be a lesson to any auto manufacturer…You really mess up bad and it could stick with you forever in the way it has for Jaguar. In this Internet age it’s even more important for manufacturers to be careful and protect their reputation via the delivery of consistently good product.
The other factor that I think hurts Jags is the real current reliability issues the do exist with several a Range Rover Land Rovers. Those vehicles still do have significant problems. Modern Jags don’t have the same level of problems, but I suspect that they get painted with the same brush anyway by reliability reports.
I was recently talking a well respect independent Jaguar specialist in my area. They confirmed for me that F-types in particular are very solid, and that Ranger Rover Land Rover have scary problems.

It even has that grab-bar feature at 13:00 - as in for the passenger to hold on for dear life - just like the Solstice has. If you want luxury and an automatic then go for the Jag. If you want a cheap thrills version at a fraction of the cost of the Jag and also with a manual transmission then go for a Solstice.

@@xXxlLEGENDZlxXx Tata group owns Jaguar now. It's helping them grow. They may be able to make such cars. Tata is a huge group. Few people know that. It's relevant, as Jaguar coud have gone, but that has not happened due to support from Tata.

@@xXxlLEGENDZlxXx Tata is a big industrail group in India. They now own Jaguar. I thought the relevance is this- Jaguar was suffering financially so Tata group helped them survive. This probably helped us see this lovely machine. I hope that helps.

Sport exhaust / loud exhaust also provides an extra 20HP in my old F-Type S. So guessing that if this F-Type R does the same thing, it's close to 600 HP with the sport exhaust.

As someone who has owned Audis and BMWs, as well as a lot of other cars, I can honestly say that they cost a fortune to maintain, as do many other expensive cars. Anytime you went to the dealer, you came out with at least a thousand dollar bill. They were not reliable cars, either. That is why so many people lease the German cars and there are tons of off-lease cars available. Once out of warranty you need to get rid of them. At least Jag gives you an excellent 5 year warranty with regular maintenance included. @@RaitisRides

Always loved the F-Type. I'd say its closest competitor is the Lexus LC500 (RWD only though). The 911 4 is in a much higher price bracket (despite only having 386HP). The only other contemporaries are the NSX (which is discontinued and has virtually no storage space) or the R8 (which is also discontinued and has virtually no storage space). This is cheaper than both of those as well. I guess a GTR would be in the running against it as well given its AWD but they are junk inside so maybe not the same buyer.

Awful decision to go all electric. I bought my 2018 V6 in March 2021 for £43500. Today apparently it’s worth 30k. Quite a drop. Be interesting to see if it goes up in value later this year.

Here in Norway the lowest spec F -Type with the 2.0 litre i4 engine costs the equivalent of 115 000 usd.

The only thing is, that the 2018 R I'm looking at I think looks much better, and it's CAD $70K *50K USD. You can swap out the new infotainment in it for a couple grand. It also sounds even better. The V8s seem to be super reliable compared to most cars too.
For the price of this I would buy a 2018 R and a 2015-2018 Audi S8 to tune (I LOOOOOVE those). Man that would be a hell of a garage already.
I can't afford the maintenance and repairs on the S8, so I'm being realistic and hunting for a C8 A6 Wagon and tuning that instead (only goes to 450 hp. Only stg1 shelf tune available). I have a C7 A6 at 500 hp with Bilstein coilovers right now and will miss the supercharged engine. I don't really want the new one, but the rest of the car is improved.
