I love my 8m, only in gusty conditions it can be too powerfull. In this video wind was blowing between 6 and 15 knots, if the wind hadn’t exceeded 12 knots I would have kept my 8m during the entire session. For me the 5.5 and 8m are complementary. (but winging most on the time on a lake with really crappy low wind, not the condition from most wingfoilers)
8m require less effort to pump but you loose a lot of manoeuvrability , i can fly with the 6m but it's take me a lot more effort to stay flying, so you have to find a trade off maybe the 7 or 6.5 ? =)
Statistics of my last 54 session: Takoon 4,5m=> 3 session, Strike V2 5.5m => 24 sessions, Strike CWC 8m=> 27 sessions. For me the 8m is a necessity, it saved me more than 25% of sessions. Would be very frustrated without my CWC 8m.

Good job I also have strike cwc 8 and 6. I feel that 6m is sometime more efficient than the 8m even in lightwind. 8 too big. What is your feeling ?
