@JayTeeRC that is not what I asked they didn't specify what their ground clearance was.
@JayTeeRC I apologize for sounding harsh saying that I did that is not what I asked.
You could mention it's a flat lcg chassis unlike the Gorgon
Bring back the Raider!
ikr!!!
@@larrys4227 may I add to this... how about resurrecting the Arrma Fazon truggy on that same note.
@@TheUnknown714 theylle get sued by traxxas again
@@NightmareXDYT I freaking know bro. It's ridiculous.
I actually appreciate, and love the fact, these RC car companies are coming out with super affordable 2wd versions that take me back to the RC days of old in the 80’s. Im definitely getting the pink or orange vorteks, and the baby blue fury, when these beauties hit my LHS. I have the recently released orange 2wd traxxas rustler BL2s, and also grabbed the 2wd bl2s traxxas stampede in pink. They’re so inexpensive and I got them when traxxas had the free bl2s battery and charger offer. I also have the Arrma Gorgon, which is what got me hooked back on the 1/10 scale 2wd platform. They’re cheap and durable as hell. I can’t wait to grab these two new Arrma 😎
These look cool. I like the resurrection of the Fury name.
yes!
It's nice to see they come with a fan, The motor in my Gorgon didn't last long. I'm hoping the fan I added to it will help keep it cool.
I agree with you about the fan, but unfortunately it's in the nature of brushed motors that they just don't last very long. That's why I'd prefer the cheapest brushless motor over any brushed motor.
I think it's environmentally wasteful to sell brushed motors in RCs, because you get maybe 4 to 6 months of use, if you're lucky.
It's a garbage technology, just like the NiMH batteries: a waste of materials.
The truck "roller" wise, looks nice. A decent platform.
But I think Arrma and Traxxas and WLToys gives you a brushed motor because it would cost them more to dump it in landfill themselves. Brushed motors are disposable, which is unfortunate for the customer.
I love that they added more to this platform/line up! I’d love to see a comparison between these and the traxxas 2wd rigs! Mainly the slash and fury! I just picked up a slash 2wd bl2s. A fury may be next on the list!
Good stuff! Love the gorgon stuck some 3.6 tires on mine with a brushless set up. It rips. Hope to see a buggy raider xl again that would be sweet!
please arrma make the equivalent off an xmaxx!!! i know it would look badass🎉😮
The sc body looks nice 👍
Good Christmas 🎄 gift.
yes! just in time
1:08. I'm checking the exploded view on their site. Like for example this is the diff. ARA311071. This looks plastic to me. The images in the video at the point I timestamped look plastic. Can anyone confirm?
What’s the difference between the vorteks boost mega 550 and this new one
Apart from the looks, everything. This is a tube chassis. It's virtually the Gorgon platform. So the motor is going to sit in the rear instead of in front of the rear axle, which is way better for rear wheel drive. Downside is that it won't be upgradable to 4x4. But what I've seen from the Gorgon is that it handles like a champ so I think it's a good thing. Also maintenance is much easier.
What if Arrma made a crawler?
Yes! I have always wondered why they haven't done that yet.
They never will
The founder of Arrma said theyd never make a crawler because Axial exists and Arrma is all about speed and toughness (his words).
Fury body is definitely not a sentence body. Is the gorgon higher ground clarence the the both of them and dose it have same wheel base as the fury?
Pass
What do u think is more fun, gorgon or vortex?
have to get vorteks 1st and will see
Does the gorgon have the same wheelbase as the fury and does it have higher ground clearance then the both of them?
looks to be
Yt hiding comments...
Plus probably suppressing content My Views are always down low which is kind of interesting
Besides a budget, kid oriented release this is..why brushed? It's so boring ..lol
This class of RC is typically priced right around $200 without battery and charger for the last 15+ years up until ARRMA started making this 2WD entry-level platform. These are really good deals for getting into the hobby without resorting to questionably supported RCs available on Amazon. Would be nice though if they can eventually get away from brushed motors and find a more inexpensive brushless setup similar to Traxxas' BL-2s system...LOL though that might get them another lawsuit!
I think there's going to be several options for these that are going to be budget-friendly. If I get my hands on one or both I'll definitely present this to you guys and then I'll make sure that I do a full video build on a brush version and then go brushless. Even for the Grom series there's a cheap brushless system that can do 2 and 3s I just haven't had a chance to get around to it
Not only to get into the hobby, but also to stay in it. Very easy to upgrade with very good handling.
@@woutervanwijk4369 Exactly. When it does break a new person can take it down to the hobby store and they will likely have the part or can get it and provide some guidance and some recommendations if they want to pursue trying some hop-up parts or are ready to upgrade the electronics.
