    Good work! How did you restore the worn-out bridges and the balance wheel protection? Obviously they don't look brand new, but since this is a common problem with this movement, it's an excellent workaround to protect the brass from oxidation. Thank you!

      HI, thanks for the comment, the best way to avoid the wearing is to replace the rotor pin every service as they wear down and cause the wearing of the silver coating. Also make sure the watch is sealed properly as when oxidation occurs, it can occur very slowly and the culprit is usually not tightening the crown properly. What I did was strip the coating off and I recoated them, it is still a good part so no need to buy a new one, just restore it correctly, hope that helps.

    Assembling cleaned watch parts without finger cods?

      I use a powder rather that does not stain or add any marks, each watchmaker has their own preferred way of working, finger cods create so much sweat and becomes uncomfortable to work with. Hope that helps
