I always found debadging a car as a bad move for future reselling. I always looked at debadged cars as red flags. A lot of ppl will swipe when they see a debadged car.
Thanks for this video. The main thing I gained from it is the song you paired with it. I've never heard it and shortly found it online and is my new favorite song
Fair enough, there is also adhesive remover, but I am apprehensive of how that might affect the paint. I have done this on a number of cars with no ill results, but you assume the risk when you use this technique. Thanks for your comment.
If you don't want to advertise a manufacturer's car then simply don't drive the car 😂 removing the badge won't do anything, most times i can tell auto makers apart just by body lines
They're talking about advertising for the dealership. Usually people don't take off the brand/model (unlike this video) but sometimes dealers like putting their name on the back either as a sticker or some glued-on lettering. Unless they're paying you to drive around with their name on *your* car, most people prefer to take off that advertisement.
A rubber wheel drill attachment is good for the glue residue
Valuable tip!
I use the plastic safety knife blades they’re similar to the steel ones but don’t scratch your paint like crazy
Makes sense, thanks.
Goo gone, or a rubber wheel on a drill. Both work great.
Great tip!

Fair enough. I always save the badges and give them to the buyer, it has never been a problem for me, but it is a valid point.

Glad you like the music!
Nice job.
Thank you.
Wow, that I didn't know. Thank you for sharing. This is the first time I've ever heard of. Great advice.
Thank you.
i like using fishing line instead of dental floss
Probably a smarter choice!
I used a kit. So that the wire had pull rings.. it has some glue solvent.. and then used some citrus based cleaner and a good run with a soft cloth
Makes sense, thanks for the tip!
Using a blow dryer makes it easier.
Makes sense, I am learning from other's experiences!
Fishing line works great too
Good to know!
Great! I can get the sleazy dealer's name off the car with this.
Perfect! I always resent advertising the dealership.
goo gone is your friend to remove the glue.
I'll give it try next time!
That Brown sticker is hideous asf. The others are fine to me
LOL. I like the clean look with none of them there.
I hate these but never took the time to take them off.
You would have to be a bit OCD like me. . .
Yeah that’s not how you take the glue off man between the WD-40 and fingernails there’s probably so many scratches on the clear coat now lol

goo gone
I'll give it a try next time!
Don't use wd40
Okay, why?
Heat gun….
I probably should have given that a try, good tip!

For me, it is just to get a cleaner look, and to avoid getting wax in the little letters.
Sloppy work..
For me, it is not to hide the branding on the car, just to get a cleaner look and make waxing easier as well.
