i know a lot of ppl seem to have their own way of assembly but if i could make a recommendation for future builds . When you remove a component the deals with movement of any kinda its good practice to reapply grease before reassembly. Only exception is if something uses a specialty bushing that has anti friction properties or a sealed bearing. Just a little advice from a seasoned technician and mechanic .
THANK YOU ! YOU ARE AN AWESOME WOMAN! I AM PLANNING TO GO TO SINGLE SPEED, BECAUSE THERE IS NO HIGH MOUNTAINS WHERE I LIVE (SANTA CRUZ, BOLIVIA). CHEERS 🍻🍻
the one thing i always envied about single speed is that you can get a colored chain for pretty cheap, whereas if I wanted a good quality colored chain for my 12 speed i would have to pay like $150, which I would never pay for a chain.
@@lloydisaacs415 I wanna put some mag wheels on my 29.but just can't find... there's 29 but only fixed speed...so what hub would I need to be able to do it?
When I saw the 14T at the back, I thought... NO WAY... that's too tough... then I read the notes... 32/14 will do well... I have 46/24 as I live in a very hilly country (Malta, Europe), I have no use for speeding...
Did you distance your chain before tensioner? Might have gotten lucky without it...or could have re-toothed the rear cog for possible fitment. This is why horizontal or adjustable drops are super handy sometimes...
I used Reverse Components www.reverse-components.co.uk/products/REVERSE-Collab-Chain-Tensioner-p491910880 and the kit is by endlessbikes.com (14T pink)
Not sure whether I see this is down/up/side grade, interesting though, heard people creating slope-duro bikes from enduro bikes, is this more slope-trail? (Not that it needs defining). Weirdly I have a spare 650b 170mm travel enduro bike missing the rear cassette, mech and shifter, might give this a go
Lol getting stressed about changing gear when you can just leave it be in the same gear ratio as this one, this is not. Avery sensitive reasoning (that rhymes with seasoning).
@@ArmorOfZeus i figured that would be the way to get back up depending on whether your trail has a fire/maintenance road. I know a lot of my local trails dont. I would be pushing what ever i couldn't peddle.

Bty, do you know whether it's possible to buy a single speed in the ms format? I'd enjoyed your clip and it was nice to be distracted by your pink top 😂😂
Best decision ever! 😁 yes you can now convert a ms to single speed too! I have another video about it 😉 I’ll pop the link for the kit I use in there here for you 😊 reverse-components.com/en/products/microspline-single-speed-kit-14t there is also a 13T and UK website 😊👌🏼 hope this helps 🤘🏼
My rear derailleur broke off in the middle of the freakin desert, i had to turn it into a single speed and ride back to the car for a very long distance, it was a nightmare!
my first bike was single speed an cost 10 shillings (50p) lasted for years until some clown drove over it and sent me flying. had gears ever since..... 😁😁😁
Why do people say "forks"? Is each stanchion a fork of its own? I guess when you eat dinner, you use multiple forks, since the utensil has multiple prongs, and each individual prong is a fork 😂
The first person in history to buy a Polygon and it’s too much bike. 😂 Buy the right bike next time? God I hope those 12sp parts went to a kid that would appreciate them and not in the bin 😢
A single speed allows you to concentrate on the fun ❤❤❤
Agreed 😉
I converted mine a while back and I like it. It's a lot of fun.

Single speed seems a CroMo steel hardtail thing to me. I hope you have fun. Can always convert it back to 12 speed.
best ss I ever had was a Lenz Sport Milkmoney. Dual suspension ss frame
I'm liking the setup! I subscribed
This is fantastic! Insightful and gorgeous! Thank you miss.
All my bikes,(2) are single speed 😁

Good noon ma'am is that chain tensioner can replace with oversized pulley 😊
Bike park build? U find this frame good for jump lines, or would u get something with more travel?
which polygon bike is this and what is the size of frame ?
I kinda wanna do it now. I think if I get another bike then I will build a smaller enduro to be slopestyle single speed.
I SS'd mine and I like it a lot
Was thinking bout doing this to my t7 I pretty much ride only jump trails with the bike don't need all them other gears
I wanna know if u can do the opposite..wanna change a single speed wheel to a cassette...can it be done?
Yes as long as you have the right freehub.

Why did you need to change the cog set freewheel? Couldn’t you just use the spacers like you did on the new one?

Is it free hub or fixed gear?

just simple by select gear as you like from shimano then you just not change it for good.
that is fix speed.
if this a liquid funk set playing on the back stage?!
Не ну на плоскаче может сингл зайдет, но хоть с маломальской нагрузкой нужны передачи!
I know 3 riders who can crank up hills many folks with a granny gear have to hike, me included.
🚴👀
where is your accent from its puzzling. 😊
Nice but why did you keep the derailleur ?
To keep tention on the chain so that it don't pop off which when converting to a single speed this happends if you don't use a derailer 👍

2025 we trend zero speed 😎
