I own every turbo racing 1/76th made and the c81 truck is the most played with as they are most capable. Even made a “stadium truck” type modular track for it. Sooo much fun.
Radio Shack nostalgic, go for the Zip Zaps! I don’t know if they were actually 1/76, but about the size of a HotWheel and came in some cool bodies like Lightning McQueen and Optimus Prime, the fully proportional series with an Aston Martin and Corvette, Monster Trucks, even XMods versions. Controllers were crap and hard to hold for anyone with adult size hands…. And the batteries all died out on them…. But hey, they were really cool to race around indoors!
@@10thScaleGarage check out the ‘SE’ special edition series. Fully proportional and faster than the regular ones. Still got some NITB on eBay. I still have mine, but none are able to take a charge atm.
Great - FUN vid guys! Thanks! I have had my eye on the 4x4 but not so much with my wallet. I get it - smaller size with full function is a premium. Now that Xmas is right around the corner - maybe Santa can afford one?🎅
Run the RX7 on a yoga mat or a rubber mat/track no more skipping when accelerating. Put the big jump in front of a lower landing ramp. You really need to try the drifters and the drift course because it really helps to master your 1/76 scale drifting!
Great video. Turn down the steering dual rates on the mini z track to make them not turn too quick. They will take a wider curve at full steering. Give it a try! Good job.
First! Good morning! Edit: I’m wondering how many different ways you guys can come up with for “give it full throttle”....”give it the beans”, “give it the berries”, etc!
I have 3 dNanos that I purchased back in 2010. They are incredible…especially with the gyro installed. Too bad Kyosho stopped producing them. Back in early 2010’s Kyosho had a couple corporate stores in Tokyo with really nice tracks for racing Mini-Zs and dNanos. Then around 2013 a new CEO took over Kyosho and closed the corp stores. They were awesome shops with loads of dNanos and parts.
I have the C72 I don’t like that you can’t store the RC on the transmitter, even with the transmitter turned off you can see underneath the RC car that their is still a red light on the board that turns on; which will draw power. Pretty sure it’s recommended for charging only but it’s neat, I wish it also can with the jumps now I need to order another one 🤪
Will we not discuss the battery life ? 7 seconds battery life? 38 seconds battery life ? We will never know. 5 minutes is a generous assumption. Also, shoulda strapped a GPS to it, or in a trailer behind the car. I bet it would get 7 hectares per liter of kerosene.
These turbo racing cars and others in same size and class are expensive for what they are 100 dollars some of these cost. I got them when they was 40 bucks when they all came out and they are a blast for rc racing on a table like you would with slot cars except it's rc racing, I love emm I have a road course set up that looks scale with scenery and all cuse I just built the track to go along the side of my slot car track which is ho scale so all I did was just make the track pieces and lay it out on my ho scale lay out so now I have micro rc racing and ho slot car racing all on one table so much fun. Modded the rx7 and supra where they now have sticky ho scale wheels and tires on the they are gel claws and grip so well and doesn't hop anymore, I made the track pieces out of wood that connected together with wooden dowels and I can take it apart and change it up of I want the track is made out of super smooth wood that I cut with router and a surface leveler for making wood perfectly flat and smooth ontop then stained it with black stain not paint and used acrylic model paint and added all the lines and hand painted the red and white ribbon for the corners and run off areas like a real road course has and it looks great and works amazing with tons of grip. That's what makes these awsome is you can set up a track on table top and race and put it away as well. I made tiny transponders for them so that way I can have raced and track laps and track what position your in and ECT just like real rc racing and slot car racing
note that critics are easily impressed. I see a slew of solvable issues of all brands of these scale cars. Greatly necessary independent 4 wheel drive. Tires that truly grip. g5, old guy, young kids
I've been eyeing these little cars for a while now and can't justify the price tag :/ Thanks for the video I enjoyed it :) As for other cars to suggest, have you guys ever looked into Team Associated's 1/28 cars?
@@10thScaleGarage Yeah they definitely can’t compete vs the mini-z or K989 but they have bigger wheels and more ground clearance so it opens up usage potential.
I took the plunge, bought the purple c72/73 and it’s super fun. Much more impressive in person. And a blast on the hot wheels track! I couldn’t be happier with it. Very very nice presentation with packaging. The underglow lights are really bright

I think they came up with a rwd drift Subaru (that has gyro) recently. I hope it gets reviewed soon
is it possible to drift with the non-drift models?
Did you try to make it c81 stand on 2 wheels when maximum gas on the controller ?

Just say ho scale and you are good. It’s 1/87 to like 1/68 :)
Y'all have too much fun! Excellent!
It’s a good time.
I bought an ARMA Granite Voltage yesterday because of you. Now I need this. You're a monster, you know that?
Sorry dude!!
Ultra cool. Just ordered the RX-7

We did.
@@10thScaleGarage So did it work good?
90 bucks is a little on the steeper side for non-proportional controls.
Add granular steering and actual throttle control and id pay that easily.
Cool little micro's. Where did you get the Tiger hoodie? PLMK when you can. Thanks for the video.
Ha! Thank you so much. I can’t remember where I got the Tony hoodie….. I’ve had it for years! I’m sorry!

Awesome vid Rcfam thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching
Turbo racing reminds me of zipzaps back in the RadioShack heydays
Yes! Zip zaps turned into Hex. They make small scale battlebots now!

💯🔥 i like the white one
Me too.
Micro machines the game has finally came to life, even just for a drunken laugh.

I know :(
Good evening brother great channel cool review nice cars
Thanks!!
I’d say try and find the Kyosho dNano…..BUT…they are pricey for the full RTR kit. If I had one I’d send to you guys to try one out.

@@bubblesrcshed yes. Just turn that little flat head screw thingy and the batteries should pop open.

Yup

Surely it makes sense to get the FPV model, then it's small enough to use on any car?
