Okay, so from what I've researched, you're supposed to take a palette knife/any kind of small knife to work away at the chunks and once it finally starts to be liquidy, THEN use the hand mixer.
As soon as you got out that frother I knew exactly what was going to happen 😭😭😭 those are for making lattes and stuff, they’re meant to mix like a pint glass worth of liquid
Use soft scrub to get rid of any stains! Add a little bit on a paper towel, wet it, scrub, then wash it and dry it to make sure it doesn't get stuck there. Hope it helps!
You also don’t need to make your gouache creamy again if you don’t want, simply add water to it again and it becomes like watercolors, although it may not work for your series lol
Most paints shouldn't need to be fought to do their thing. If they're water activated, the water will activate them. Patience really does pay off. Glad the video ended how it did
I suggest keeping a damp kitchen towl or damp paper towels covering the paint in the container, then switch it out everytime u use it, to keep the moisture
I felt that comment about getting paint off the walls and blinds like a shot to the heart. I've been there. I just decided it was now a work of art and was a visual representation of my frustration.
20 Mule Team Borax. Put a little on a damp washcloth and scrub it against the stained surface, then scrub away residue with a clean damp washcloth and dry. I know the slime trends have popularized Borax as an activating agent, but its performance in its original intent as a cleaning agent is second to none. I've literally gotten blood out of whites with this stuff!
Use medium! I use paint medium all the time for my gauche! It might make it a little glossy but medium is amazing. WARNING: do NOT use matte medium as that will thin out and dry out your gauche PERMANENTLY! Can’t wait to see you get back to painting!
You can get jugs of distilled water at basically any grocery store. If you can't find it with the purified/drinking water, check the baby section. It's water that's been evaporated and collected from condensation, making it free of minerals and impurities. It's used for humidifiers and to clean machines and such, since it doesn't leave mineral residue like tap or purified water.
I neeeed to try gouache, I still have absolutely zero experience with it but it looks so cool!! It’s hard to buy new paint when I have so much I need to use 😭
Degreaser spray is good for paint removal and the mixer is to be used after the water softens the paint enough that way you just get any spare clumbs hiding in the paint and smooth it with the mixer
Hello! I wish you much luck with the flecks of paint all over. Tiny dabs of rubbing alcohol might help but also might damage the surface underneath, so it is a gamble. Good luck!
Try using a stain remover or artist soap that is meant to remove dried paint/dye stains on the blinds, Opus sells Kiss Off stain remover and artist hand soap. The walls would be a paint scraper/repainting-maybe soaking the paint with a cleaner.
Temi, distilled water is water that is collected from steam. Easy to make it, just a lotta energy. It’s pretty much the steam that comes out of the kettle when the water is boiling.
yesss this is what I do as well. I spray it with water, let it sit overnight and the next day I spray it again before mixing it up with a small pallette knife (got mine from winsor & newton, I swear I have never seen such a tiny pallette knife before) and it's all good!!
Amazing I am so glad your ready to c9me back take your time with it also I had an idea it's my sons 6th birthday in 4 days and he would love if you could do a pokemon themed one tysm we will follow u till the end ❤❤❤
You have to put water and let it rehydrate for a few hours. I let them overnight. Then you could mix them with a spatula or your gouache mixer. Have fun! 😊
If your blinds are white, you can paint them in cool colors and patterns, then you cant see the gouache anymore. Idk how to get it out but i hope that helped.
I use a small palette knife to mix it. I let it sit in some like you did there and then after I mix it around with the palette knife I can easily scrape off all of the excess paint back into the little container.
If you just let the water sit, it will soften over the day so you can mix it with your brush. Little hack we used in art school! And for the blinds, just get acetone! It removes nail polish so it will remove the paint too!
If you were to use the electric whisk again you are supposed to put it into the paint before you turn it on and your supposed to turn it off before you take it out of the gouache container so that it doesnt cause that spraying mess
Just reactivate the gouache by adding water then wipe it down, add water until the color looks diluted then let dry or just soak in water if on cloth (removing gouache stains)
still don’t understand why this brand sells gouache like this, because in my country its always covered up with the lid on top, due to the reason it isn’t supposed to be dry and lid obviously keeps it nice and ready to draw
Gouache doesn't have to be creamy to work, just add a bit of water and that's it you can work with it like that, after you run your brush on it just a bit you'll have enough pigmentation, it works just like those hard watercolors for kids
Just a tip, and keep in mind that I don’t know anything about gouache, but if you need distilled water, you can literally just take tap water, let it sit out in an open container for a day or so, and you will have distilled water. Distilled water is just water without any chlorine or fluoride and such in it, so if you let it sit out the minerals evaporate out of it, people do it for watering house plants and stuff because the plants don’t like the minerals. Idk, you can try that if you feel like it might help, see if it works, it’s super easy, you don’t really have to buy anything new, although the regular tap water seems like it did the job here, maybe the minerals build up in the paint over time or something.
No, distilled water is not water without chlorine. Distilled water is water without minerals. It's pure Oxigen and hydrogen. It's made by boiling water and gathering the condensed vapor in a separate container. The minerals don't evaporate that's why you need to boil the water to separate it from the minerals. If you let a glass of water out you are doing the contrary. You are making it even less pure because water is evaporating and the minerals are even more concentrated.
@@loati94 ah, you are talking about reverse osmosis water, it is a different process than distilling the water but it would serve a very similar purpose in this case since the water isn’t dirty, it just has to not have minerals in it. Reverse osmosis water is usually used to get dirt and excessive amounts of salt out of water which doesn’t happen in distilling, it’s a common way that drinkable water is collected from sea water. Like I said in the comment, I don’t know anything about gouache so depending on what the water needs to do, various methods of removing minerals for the water may or may not work, if it needs to be super thorough then reverse osmosis water or a more thorough process of distilling the water is probably the best way to go, my knowledge on distilled water only comes from houseplants so the needs might be very different lmao.
@@shawn-oldaccountl6748 nope, I am not talking about reverse osmosis even though they serve a very similar purpose. Reverse osmosis is using very fine filters to filter out dirt, minerals and impurities from water. Distilling water is boiling water and gathering the condensed vapor while the minerals and impurities settle. The process to make drinkable water out of sea water is called desalination and both distilling and reverse osmosis work but distilling is not cost effective since you have to boil water. That's why leaving a glass of water out doesn't remove the minerals , it just reduces the chlorine a bit. It's not distilling water.
@@loati94 there are various methods of both reverse osmosis and distilling so both would work. Once again, as I said in both my comment and then again in my reply lmao, I don’t know the purpose of the use of distilled water on gouache, so if chlorine and fluorine and such were the problem then virtually any method of distilling would work but if hard minerals like salt or lime and such were the issue then a more thorough method of water purification would be needed. Again, all of my knowledge on distilling water was meant for the use of plants, which do not require the thorougher methods of purification for their water, it all just depends on what you need the water for lmao

respectfully, why use the handmixer at all...?
More smoothness I guess
@@kiaretts1102 there's also a paint mixer online, but I'm assuming that would be redundant since she was willing to use her own hand mixer
don't use a hand mixer.. it has literally no point and you would make a mess 100% and waste product.. just soak it
Yes... Or don't use the hand mixer at all

it's actually a good thing that your gouache dries up! if it stays wet, then mold might grow on it.
If you’re using tap water, but I believe the purpose of using distilled water is so that it doesn’t :)

Distilled water is used for aroma diffusers and if you have sleep apnea, it’s used for that too for the masks that you have to wear.
These are so impressive!!!
So talented, cant wait to see more of the series!
So to get the paint of the curtain’s i recommend eucalyptus oils or some detol maybe other wise goodluck with the paint :)

I recommend Magic Eraser for the blinds and walls... From personal experience 😭😭 either the store brand or name brand will work fine.
