Israel Responds to UN Court Order to Take "Immediate" Measures to Prevent Genocide in Gaza

The UN's top court declined to order Israel to halt its campaign in Gaza in an interim ruling - delivering a blow to South Africa, which had called for a pause in the fighting as the court considers whether or not Israel’s actions in the Palestinian enclave constitute genocide.
The provisional ruling, handed down by the International Court of Justice at The Hague on Friday, stopped short of doing what South Africa had wanted: an unconditional call for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza.
