Over the last 10 years MSFT has brought back 15% of their stock. If they do that again, it will alter the calculation that sits behind the SAT.
It didn't drop over 30% in COVID time. It dropped that when all other tech stocks were getting battered in 2022 ... and it held up better than most. Its easily in the top 3 tech companies in the world .... probably no. 1. I have held it for years and am 195% up on it and about to buy some more.

High quality companies DESERVE a PE of 25. Meaning Microsoft fair value = 230 not 180 which it briefly hit.
Good luck, sitting waiting on a pe number. When you get your pe the company would have grown by 20%+and be closer to 380$; pe only looks at current numbers and dose not calculate future decline in amount of shares
When MSFT was $ 200….. you had it at your watchlist at $ 125
When MSFT was $ 290 you had it at your watchlist at $ 160
When MSFT is $ 400. you had it at your watchlist at $ 300 😂
Etc etc etc
Like you still have apple on your watchlist at 75
And Shopify at $ 8 🙈😂

When a company buys back its own shares, it not the listed price that retail investors pay, they get a massive discount.

my premium is anything under pe 30 and i nibble between between pe 30-35. Over 35 i wait for a better entry.
Guru's dcf earnings and fcf based has this as a hard no.
What is one supoose to do when they are up 120% on META and they value the company as fairly valued now? I get buying companies to hold long term but what do you do when they hit your thought value so quickly?

Maybe Gaming is currently not their strength, but still a good Business. They own Minecraft which is a cash cow...

I think people exaggerate on how “bad” their gaming division is just because it can’t touch the numbers of the Japanese giants Sony and Nintendo doesn’t mean that XBOX is a failed brand, it’s still selling tens of millions of consoles with each generation, there has never been an XBOX that has outright failed unlike Nintendo who have had several failed consoles and Sony even had 1 failure (Vita)
